Working on a belated bday/doubling as holiday gift for a friend and DM. This was originally one of the "Nozgul's Marvelous Unpainted" human wizard minis. Img link (one on right). Converted it to better resemble friend's character: A heavyset archanist archwizard who is generally jolly, high, and giving out magical candy. The character also has lots of pockets and satchels with assorted items and goodies. He's basically the DM's avatar in game to point players in the right direction. I try to paint a diverse group of NPCs. Here, I painted this cleric as a dark skinned woman. I am pretty pleased with how her face turned out. However, my attempt at non-metallic metal (mace, canteen, and bracelets) is .... Not the result I envisioned. I am accepting suggestions on how to make it look more like metal, if anyone has specific advice. ðŸ˜•
Brains in a Jar from Stronghold Games "Space Cadets: Away Missions", a dungeon crawl style cooperative board game set in the classic sci-fi movies of the 50's and 60's. The original concept of the Brain in a Jar was, sadly, lacking a glass jar. The final version is a two part mini with a removable "glass" top and it looks much better, even unpainted. NOTES: I didn't paint directly underneath the brain because I was afraid the jar wouldn't fit back on or be able to be removed again if it did go back on. However it is much more visible than I thought it would be and now I'm debatin
