  1. These are the minis I received for the Spring Exchange from @Leopardpixie. In my survey I mentioned that I like Star Wars and one of my quotes for inspiration was "Something Wicked This Way Comes". She knocked the ball out of the park with the Jedi figure and knocked my socks off with the display which is an embodiment of the "Something wicked" quote. Thank you, @Leopardpixie I am so happy to add these to my collection.
  2. This was my favorite project of 2017 due to how much I pushed my abilities in creating it. It was my first major conversion of this sort, first time doing texture, first major use of OSL, and first Sci Fi base built fully from scratch. So lots of firsts with this one. Those of you who followed my WIP thread know what I went through with this one; the OSL dilemma, redoing the base, and sculpting new hands at the last minute. In all I am proud that I stepped out of my comfort zone and I cannot give enough thanks to those who posted in the WIP thread, your encouragement gave me the push that I n
  3. Hi, my name is Lyssa and this is my first time having the guts to post a mini on here. She’s not my first mini ever, but one of my rare few humanoids. She’s a pc for my fiancee in our new Star Wars campaign started. She also requested that the white markings be obviously painted on similar to The Clone Wars show. Also my first completed mini of 2k18!
  4. I have some clear plastic Christmas ornaments that I am going to make little scenes and put the Mystic Warrior children from Hasslefree in for my grandkids for Christmas. So I went from painting big ol' Marthrangul to little bitty kids. (I had a dwarf mage painted in between.) So today was my paint day with a friend. I snipped them off their bars and used my friend's jeweler's drill to drill tiny little holes in their feet for pins. Their feet and legs are so tiny, my usual pinning equipment was too large. I cleaned up all their flash and mold lines, washed them, and th
  5. Alright, ReaperCon is just around the corner and I really need to get cracking on my entires. I already have a thread up for my planned Painter's entries and I will be doing separate ones for my Open and Diorama entries. So first off here is my Open entry, the Bones version of Anirion: Oh, wait that's not right ... Much better This conversion came to be due to one of the critiques I received last year and that was to up the difficulty of my conversions. So first thing I did was scan Reaper's site and pi
  6. Here is another upload of what I have been working on for the last 18 months: Imperial Assault Core Game. Here is Diala Passil, the Padawan Light Saber wielder of the core 6 heroes in the game. My color scheme follows the character art and Sorastro guide, but with Reaper and Vallejo Game Color paints. The camera makes the cloak look a lot more bright red than it really is. It ended up a sort of brick red in-hand. Overall, the saber blade was my least favorite part of this mini. Colors are under spoiler
  7. Somewhere around here, I saw an article... rather good one... where someone took a Reaper monk figure and made a pretty good looking Jedi figure out of it. I've found myself thinking about Star Wars figures as of late, and I have found myself wondering: What figures does Reaper make, Bones or otherwise, that would manage a reasonable or easy conversion into Star Wars characters, or even generic space opera folks? Ideas? Suggestions? Pictures?
  8. Painted for a friends 13 year old daughter she picked the colors, had a hard time getting a decent pic with this one. Light box no light box nothing worked well
  9. Show off related to this piece: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/63001-02782-warl-hellbore-assassin-exchange-mini-for-2015-summer/ WIP related to this piece: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/63010-02782-warl-hellbore-assassin-wip-for-summer-2015-exchange/ From the Personal Holocron of Master Bel’Rheol, Force Assassin Transcripts of His Address to the Grey Brotherhood on Ziost …to do so, you must release yourself from the hold the galaxy has on you: My parents should have known I would be their undoing. The archivists told me that an albino Twi’Lek bo
  10. OK everyone. Not sure how best to post WIP after the fact. So, I'm going to post a few pictures at a time. I was paired to paint for Arc724 in the Summer 2015 Exchange. This was my first time, and his. Here's the link to the Show Off. http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/63001-02782-warl-hellbore-assassin-exchange-mini-for-2015-summer/ And here is the Fiction: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/63011-from-the-personal-holocron-of-master-bel’rheol-force-assassin/ Here are the starting supplies: A few angles of the mini. The base is a 30mm
  11. This is a diorama I created. Last year, I got to talk to Jeff Grace (he's responsible for a lot of great minis from Dark Sword, Privateer Press, Reaper and others). We talked a little bit about how easy it would be to make some of his Dark Sword minis into Star Wars characters, and how cool it would be if someone made a diorama of a dueling Jedi and Sith and entered it into the painting competition. Naturally, I agreed that such a thing should happen. I'm not totally sure that he meant it as a challenge. I think sometimes people get surprised when I run away with an idea like this.
