Finished this figure over the weekend. Some parts I like quite a lot, but the blending is a bit weak and the casting of the left side of the face is poor. I like the sculpt a lot, and I've put the metal version (03547) into my wishlist for my next order. I think it might make a very nice piece to spend more time on.

I've decided it's time for a show off thread for these minis. WIP is at http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/73535-lexomatics-spring-2017-pcs/ I'll post pics in a bit after I've cropped them. Juliette first

I decided to start painting up minis for my various PCs -An unidentified Grenadier Halfling fighter (chain & shield) as Lvl 7 Rogue, Magnus Perrywhimple (soon to be con only) -Mystic Theurge as Lvl 1 Monk/ Lvl 1 Rogue Stede Blackthumb (Acolyte of Candlekeep), on an acquisition mission to atone for learning and copying ritual magic without permission -Juliette, as Lvl 1 Half Drow Sorceress, Grz'zilda (the Ghastly Gourmet) who was rescued from Hillsfar and while hiding her heritage is now adventuring. I've done a few passes at a few things. But not full base coats yet. Photos later.

I finished this pair working on the simultaneously over the past 8 days. I worked on them on/off around working 4 shifts at the hospital, Thanksgiving, etc. Both were painted entirely using a Reaper Round #1. For this pair I decided to use a limited color selection of only 9 paint colors to include: Violet Light, Redstone, Worn Navy, Mahogany, Stained Olive, Jungle Moss, Dark Elf Shadow, Vampiric Skin, and Sun Yellow. Juliette gave me the chance to try some freehand and begin that part of painting improvement and I've never painted 'see through' stockings before so that gave me more practice there. Deckard was just some good NMM painting practice and his cloak hood gave me a chance to really play with creepy lighting on a face. C&C always welcome and appreciated.

Here is one of the first KS1 Bones character miniatures I completed. Given the discontinued (in Bones) status of this miniature, I took it upon myself to prove it can still turn out well. Her raised left hand is the primary reason for the discontinuation in Bones and I understand why (see the metal for comparison: http://www.reapermini.com/FigureFinder#detail/03547); but I believe I was able to make the most of it. Here is a KS1 Bones Juliette. I stuck to only paints from LTPK2 on the figure to practice more on the colors and techniques. Thanks for viewing.
