  1. I will paint and create a Reptilian Army pure for fun. It will consists of many different kind of Reptiles and Amphibians. Mostly Snakemen, Lizardmen, Frogmen, Dragonmen, Turtlemen, Fishmen, Dinosaurs and Insects. I will happily include any monster I think will fit. A Tarrasque will be the centrepiece at some sort as the Living Lizard God. I do not play any games, so this will be pure for my own and (I hope your) fun to create. EDIT: The above was my original plan, over time and thanks to the comments made by other Forumites, this has
  2. Wasn't totally happy with how this came out. I wanted a reptilian version of a tiger pattern for stalking in the jungle. Colour scheme worked I think and overall it's a great model but it has some issues I struggled with. It's not symmetrical, the ridges and scales on each side are in different places and don't align making the patterning problematic. That coupled with the fact that some of the larger scales fade out and a lot of the smaller scales are almost indistinct took some of the fun out if it. Normally I enjoy doing scales and applying washes and dry rushing as well as pic
  3. Anyone have any useful leads on a set of elves in tribal garb? I'm specifically looking for elves that would fit in a jungle, tropic, or coastal setting. Not looking for heavy armor. If there's some gender diversity in the set that's even more ideal. I could kit bash if needed, but trying to avoid that. Also looking for things that would fit well in scale with Reaper Bones' offerings. Have I made this easy enough for you all?
  4. STL File from Artisan Guild, printed on my Elegoo Mars. Part of my Lost World Project: WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-army-of-the-lost-world-xherman1964-paints-coldblooded-creatures/ Part of a set her mounted sister has her own show off: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/91933-kataa-inca-princess-on-giant-panther-by-glitterwolf/
  5. Printed this Amazon Fighter from Artisan Guild. You can get her as a free sample from Yeggie.. She's part of my Lost World Project. WIP: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/page/163/#comments
  6. In my LOST WORLD PROJECT I'm telling a story about Exploring and looting Conquistadores, Dinosaurs, Natives and Reptilians. WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-xherman1964-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/ From this little world of my imagination I give you Sergeant Fillippa ( Gamezone Mounted Imperial Pistolier) and Mitla ( Freebooter Tamazolli, Amazone) riding their vicous mount a Giganotosaurus ( 3D printed model by Krentz.) the base is from Micro Art Studio. Hope you enjoy it. EDIT: A
  7. Drums! Tribal drums from the heart of the deepest jungles. The Goblins wage war. They spider heards will consume everything on its past and, when there's nothing left, they will leave the trees behind to invade the lands of men. Their Chief, riding the giant eight legged spider steed Sleipnir, is ready to lead them to victory. Here I wanted to try a particularly colorful palette to tap into the jungle theme. Maybe in that note it lacks a bit of green... first time I use this colored liquen. Maybe is too much? If you l
  8. Babar, Lord of the Jungle, ready to both smash and stun tespassers with his golden magnificence. 28mm scale resin miniature. Gold & green palette. My biggest issue: not jungly enough. I need more stuff to make plants and credible grass :s
  9. These maginificent minis were donated by @malefactus to add to my Lost World Project. WIP Here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=109 Eureka Miniatures ( Pond Wars Range). I painted the Frog riders as Poison Dart Frogs and the Toad mounts as Bombina Orientalis ( Chinese Firebelly Toads). I had both as pets in my youth. Here is the unit, and in the latter pics on my Jungle Photobackdrop Board.
  10. 77135 Mariel Twinspear. Officer on one of the Pirateships of the fleet of Bloody Bess. WIP: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=150
  11. Here my Mudcroack. Love the mini. Recently we have been playing the Tomb of Annihilation D&D campaign, based on the jungles of Chult, and we found many of these adorable frogmen creatures, Grungs. That motivated me to start working with Mudcroack despite having almost all the new GW goblins waiting. Well, frogs are usually green, jungles too, and it was all kinda repetitive; so I decided to use as little green as possible. For the basing I chose a resin scenic base that I adapted, and the "barbed bracken" plants from GW. Any feedback welcome, and if you want, please follow
  12. I have created a little diorama / terrain piece to go with my Lost World Project. WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/81223-welcome-to-the-jungle-by-glitterwolf/ I used the base of Kaladrax Bones, now OOP to create some Aztec style ruins. The smaller Aztec ruin pieces are from Greenstuffworld. For the creatures in the murky river I used the Moray Eel of Reaper's 02948: Familiar Pack VII, sculpted a lungfish and some Trilobites myself ( almost invisible in the murky water as they should be.) and I sculpted a second eel. And
  13. This is an OOP Metal Terradon from Games Workshop. Its'now part of my Welcome to the Jungle Terrain / Diorama Piece which in turn is part of my Lost World Project. Hope you enjoy. Here he comes soaring over the ruins ( Kaladrax's original Base)
  14. This is a little sideproject from my Lost World Project WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/& I think it deserves it's own WIP. It will be covered in the Lost World as well, but there it will be interrupted by the other things I paint and build there. With courtesy to @malefactus , @Peithetairosand @Chris Palmer for inspiring me with their awesome terrainbuilding. It all started when I noticed my spare base from Kaladrax. Kaladrax wa
  15. I also painted this Plant Dragon to include in my Welcome to the Jungle diorama/terrain piece for my Lost World Project. Again, I thought it would be nice to show it off separately before it becomes part of the terrain.
  16. I'm creating terrain for my Lost World Project. This whole piece is called Welcome to the Jungle WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/81223-welcome-to-the-jungle-by-glitterwolf/&page=7&tab=comments#comment-1774286 It is all part of my Lost World. I added a Juvenile Brachiosaurus, it is a plastic Paint and Play toy from Wild Republic and not a great sculpt, but I liked it enough to include it. The Terrain is not done yet, but I would like to share the finished Brachiosaurus with you. Hope you like it!
  17. This is from Rackham/Confrontation an Ophidian Warrior. He is a Heavy Snake Infantryman for my Lost World. He originally came with a sword to put on his side, but I left it off. Liked him better this way. He is on a resin base from Micro Art Studio enhanded with Vallejo Still Water. WIP is here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=136 On to the pics, some against my Jungle Backdrop Board. Likes and comments welcome.
  18. This Bones Lizardman with Spear was a gift from @Paradoxical Mouseduring a candy exchange where he and a few others guarded the candy. After an expirement in pink of which we shall never speak again, @malefactus gave me some advice and I went for a red with orange and yellow. The spear is still bendy, I don't mind the end of it, since that's a crooked branch, but the tip is a bit floppy as well. Anyway. Here is the latest warrior of my Lost World Project. WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-pain
  19. I have painted these guys to include them in a diorama/terrain piece for the Lost World and thought they deserved a show off of their own before they dissapear into the vast jungle. Enjoy.
  20. RAFM Hartha the Death Machine, Orc War Triceratops. A great vintage lead kit.. Of course it HAD to go into my Lost World Project. WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=105 Enjoy!
  21. A while ago @Jasper_the_2nd sent me some minis for my Lost World Project. I painted the Clan Wars Naga Champion to fit in my world. This one is a captured Asian Pirate "improved" by the Transmuthor and turned into a Serpent Warrior. WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=110
  22. I painted an OOP GW metal Stegadon for my Lost World Project and added Foundry Aztec Crew. WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=123 First some pics against neutral background And then some against my Jungle Photo Board.
  23. Another Snake Warrior for my Lost World. WIP Here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=120 This is Reaper Warlord 14187 Ssathuss. A Nagendra Warrior.
  24. This is called TANITH's AWAKENING. A sideproject from my Lost World Project. It was born due to @knarthex's daughter Alsnia, showing a pic of a cute python with flowers on it's head. Then @Pezler the Polychromatic made up a little story in my Lost World Project. I had already seen a great Serpent Goddess statue in a thread from @Chris Palmer and after some suggestions from @malefactus and @Chaoswolf things really got out of hand. More forumites commented and suggested stuff. Anyway here it is. The Ananconda and the Python are plastic toys.
  25. A while ago Malefactus send me some miniatures as a gift to contribute to my Lost World Project. His friend Cpt. John saw it and decided to include this wonderful miniature. WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-xherman1964-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/ EUREKA Miniatures 28mm War Turtle ( the Little ones are smaller but they fit right in). Thanks Malefactus and Cpt. John for this amazing gift! I hope I did it proud. I connected a few Tabletop Art Resin bases to create a bigger base f
