  1. Latest Zombicide game up on Kickstarter https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cmon/marvel-zombies-zombicide Not cheap, but already well over target Ends Feb 4th, delivery June 2023
  2. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kikidoodle/into-the-void-a-black-cat-enamel-pin-series/description Sod all to do with gaming, but I know we've got cat people with their own voids at home; and some of you might be into pins and need a Void of Blep of your own. Or.. heck, I'unno. Maybe you need void stickers or something.
  3. Another fun project from Midlam, this time Gnome and Halfling Children. Unlike most of their previous projects, they're having multiple stretch goals. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1662635043/gnome-and-halfling-children/description Story Most Halfling children (or Quarterlings) lead a happy carefree existence in the sleepy backwaters of the halfling lands, in preparation for their happy care free adulthood that they will spend in those same lands. Gnome Children (or Gnomelings) generally play around their Gnome hill homes, told not to go too far, but equally, not to hang around inside the hill getting in everyone's way. Quarterlings and Gnomelings Welcome to our latest project, where we bring you the much anticipated junior Gnomes and Halflings! These compliment Midlam Miniatures' large and growing range of Adult Gnomes and Halflings. Here you can back one, the other, or both sets! Stretch Goal Levels #1 - #3 Unlocked! Stretch Goals Unlike most of our Kickstarters which offer 1 or perhaps 2 miniatures, we are going to add a Halfling and Gnome Child miniature for ever £1000 we reach, until the classes are empty and we have run out of miniatures. Some stretch goal miniatures might be bigger than others and may count as two stretch goals (over £2000) due to their size and weight.
  4. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1520354196/osmoticmeld?ref=user_menu Osmoticmeld is an experiment! It is a collaborative partnership between the renowned artist Ian Miller and [John Robertson], and was born of a serendipitous meeting over social media many moons ago. I must also extend special thanks to both Sebastian Czarnecki and David Pauwels, they have been incredibly generous with their time in giving advice, support and guidance: Seb’s also designed our website and David’s done some fabulous work with his hair sticks! I've been following these on facebook for what seems like ages as they've been sculpted and am impresses with how close they are to the Ian Miller artwork that inspired them
  5. Kickstarter Live DDF Models is back in collaboration with Scylla Models presenting you new models for your collection. If you want to know more about us visit our website. A 100mm {Scale 1:18} models kit for artists/collectors and wargaming, cast in resin. Collectable Miniatures. Kickstarter Live
  6. Some cool looking Dwarves… https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/heresylab2/heresylab-black-mountain-clan?ref=recommendation-ended-project-backer-2 I think I might get some treasure hunters.
  7. Greetings all, This is Ed Pugh making this post~ This weekend, I sat down and read several weeks’ worth of posts. (I would like to call out Andrew Miller and his post made to the tune of John Lennon’s song “Imagine”. Fun stuff!) I would like to thank ALL of the people making comments here. I especially focused on comments made by upset backers. Your comments are helpful, and this is how we learn. We might not be able to fix everyone’s problems at this time, but they will all be addressed in future planning discussions. Now down to business. I’m making this post because I realized last night that in the rush to get everything going, no one was assigned to monitor the KS comments. In the past, that duty fell on the shoulders of Matt Clark, but he retired last year. That’s on us and we will have someone dedicated to poking their head in here. UPDATES: “Official” updates occur twice a month on the KS Updates Section. Everything that is important is in these updates. We will also answer questions, show pictures, promote, and discuss the KS on all our social media platforms. Because a lot can occur during the two-week intervals between Official Updates, many pictures, discussions, and information not contained in the prior Official Update will show up on these social media sites. In the end, if ALL you read are the Official Updates you will receive more than enough information to be up to date. While this is not an official update, I’m going to shed some light on a few things. 1) What should I do about defects, missing parts, or missing order items? Send an email to our customer service department at [email protected] Our team will take care of you. 2) UPS just sent me a notification that my order is going to my old address. What should I do? Go to UPS MyChoice and redirect it https://www.ups.com/us/en/services/tracking/mychoice.page? 3) What are the EU and UK start dates? We are confirming AU is still July 5th. The UK has their container and is getting ready, but no hard date at this moment. We will have one next week. 4) Where is the last container for the US Warehouse? The last container is still stuck in Los Angeles. We are working each day to break this log jam. I hope for word on Tuesday when everyone returns back to work. 5) Why are some Waves going back and forth? Shipments are combined and stacked in the order pulling queue. They are then printed in batches. “Wave hopping” sometimes does occur. Simple examples that can cause this are the picker/puller grabs a pull ticket from the wrong stack or from the back of the stack (printed pull tickets are stacked in a tray on their sides). We try our best. The good news is that we are usually done pulling in a few weeks. 6) Why is Canadian shipping different this time? We have used UPS to get shipments into Canada every KS except KS1. UPS prepares shipping options based on the data for Canada. Location, package count, sizes, weights etc. They in turn present the options to us. We will generally choose the cheapest option that still balances service with price. In the past it was cheaper for us to use the service in which we imported the packages to ourselves as a non-resident importer. This option required Reaper to pay the 5% GST as the importer. We were unable to collect or bill backers for the 5% GST we paid as we are not registered with Canada to collect anything. In summary, it was cheaper for us to pay the GST to send your package. I do not know what changed between Canada and the USA, but this time the service we used in the past was substantially more expensive than direct service. Direct service is a better option and came with better tracking and UPSMyChoice. There are NO duties on US products. In the end, you are paying your local sales tax and GST and an entry fee based on the size of your order. I want to thank everyone for their participation and support of the Kickstarter. Please continue to post your comments. They do all get read. Please stay safe~
  8. Previews for Reaper's June releases just went up in the "Previews" section, and they're from the Bones 5 Kickstarter. Granted, there's still April and May unaccounted for, but there are a number of large models from the Bones 4 Kickstarter that haven't been released at retail yet. We already know they're suggesting that the Stygian Barge may never be released, but I'm hoping most of the rest will be. By my count, all of these haven't hit the game stores yet: Narglauth Dragon Turtle Agramon, Duke of Hell Blacksting Wyvern All of the Fantasy Scenics Thunderfoot Behemoth Blacktooth Terror Dance of Death Mossbeard Treeman Skeletal Dragon Nyarlathotep Argent Gauth Am I missing anything? Any word from Reaper about whether or not these will ever be available againt, outside of the Bones 4 Kickstarter?
  9. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/landofpandas/jurassic-tribe When you scroll down on their page, there is a FREE Stegosaurus file to download.
  10. Hello people! i would like to share with you an upcoming Kickstarter campaign that will start on April 20 and last until May 10. 11. I was a little surprised to not see this already here. I just got a 48 hour notification on a game called "Lurkers of the Deep" - it's apparently an expansion to a miniatures game, but in addition to the game they're also selling a bunch of 20s/30s pulp/cthulhu style minis. (And a number of buildings, too.) I'm not interested in the game, but I put down a 30 pound pledge to get a bunch of the figures and get the various free stretch goals figures. There's only another 46 or so hours left, so I guess that means it ends early on March 1st. http://kck.st/3tbALxp is the link.
  12. I backed the Bones 5 kickstarter and was informed that my wave (8) will be shipped out sometime in April. Do I have an option when it comes to how it will be shipped to me? I am having difficulty with mail at the moment. My monthly Reaper mini order was stolen last November and I have been wary about receiving packages at my address since. If the kickstarter package can be delivered via UPS, I can have it held at a contact point. If not, I'll have to put in a Hold Mail request to my local USPS, get a PO box or hope that I'm home when the package arrives. I live in an apartment building with no security and no one I can trust to leave my packages with. I have considered getting my mail delivered to my workplace, but would rather not get them involved. Anyone else have any problems receiving their mail and what kind of solutions can you offer.
  13. Goblin Menace indeed! I was doing fine with the other group of goblins I did 2 weeks ago, but these little green bast...guys were not as fun. Wins: * Found an EXCELLENT new paintbrush - Master's Touch from Hobby Lobby. Dang! I've been missing this level of spring in the bristles and fine edge with them. Love it. * Tried diluting steel color with black ink to help with application. Worked great! Will do again. * Switched the Sta-Wet Palette paper that came with it to just simple parchment paper. I don't know who uses the actual paper in the Sta-Wet Palette, but that stuff is terrible! * Still using as much breast cancer awareness color pink (got like 4 bottles...need to use!) * dry brushing the hair came out much better this time. Lighter touch and more layers - worked better. Misses: * Eyes this time were more difficult. Tried doing those chibi eyes, but it wasn't as expressive this time. * Tried a base color of off-white in the eye - also didn't seem to give as much character to them. * Washed with Agrax Earthshade around the major bends and muscles. Didn't seem to work as well this time. I think it's time to try that black lining on the next goblin and see if Iike that instead. * using the new brushes have a bit of a learning curve to them. Much more springy and reduced my need for pressure, however this caused some interesting streaks when I didn't mean to. * I did it again! I tried using my finger to dab off an excess streak and ended up taking off some of the baselayer AND primer. With that being the second time it's happened - the best way I can describe what I did was the scene in Top Gun where the flight tower Captain gets a second fly-by. Overall the color of Goblin skin still works great, but basecoat of VCG Flat Green may not have been best. May just add black to Goblin Skin and then lighten it up as I go next time. Attempted different primers on them: Girl with spear - primed in black with Vallejo Black spray primer Chainmail goblin - primed in Vallejo Leather Brown spray primer (didn't like that as much...) Stone chuckers - both of them were done in paint-on Vallejo grey primer. (worked best) Overall, they aren't bad, but they aren't my best. Once I base them I'll feel better. Might even go back after a few days to touch them up to see if I can straighten out the things I missed. As always - open to feedback. Thanks for the tips on the Metallics thread. I put it to use, but still learning.
  14. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/263291121/titancraft-customizable-boss-monsters?ref=recommendation-projectpage-footer-4 NOTE: You can choose one demo monster ( skull or abberattion) I chose a batwinged skull and added horns to try it.
  15. Two simple dwellings, 3D prints from Empire of Scorching Sands, a Kickstarter by EC3D Designs.
  16. I've backed all 4 Kickstarters, and in order to move on actually painting them I did a mass wash / prime. I've intermixed the bones by type (Monsters, Heroes, set dressing), and have a couple random pieces that got separated. Can anyone tell me what these parts belong to? TIA
  17. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dogmight/kickstarter-exclusive-fire-dragon-valhalla-screen "You take your game seriously. Now it's time for a serious screen. In October of 2018, Dog Might released the first fully sculpted GM Screen, the Valhalla Screen. Since then, we have released over 30 more designs, including officially licensed screens for: Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, and Vampire: The Masquerade. We have also designed screens for you favorite shows, such as Relics and Rarities and the Critical Role stream of Undeadwood. Over the last year and a half, our Valhalla Screens have proven to be our most sought after product. " ... Would it surprise anybody here to know I want one? If I can't have one, at least I can spread the word. ;p
  18. So I just got a metric ton o' plastic. Tanks, CAVs, tons of scenery! So DAMN excited. But... There's a lot. Any of y'all with game experience want to enlighten me on what would be a fun few models to start with, so I could get a game going soon-ish? Like, would you build all four of a CAV (just in case you didn't back this one: you get four of each model in your order) or four different CAVs? When would you ever field four at a time? I'll probably build all four vehicles of each type because they'll build fast and look really cool. The CAVs will take more time to paint, so any advice on which ones I should build first to get a fun, casual game on would be most appreciated!
  19. Imagine my surprise when on of my failed KS projects got this update, and I got a link to download the pdf! Here is an update from Andrew Shields. I want you to have this game. I acquired the rights to the Axes and Anvils game from Mike Nystul without taking on his obligations from this Kickstarter. What can you expect? The chart shows how I plan to give you this fantastic game as thanks for your enthusiasm, even if it was over seven years ago. I do not have the resources to send out print copies (much less patches, miniatures, stones, and other extras.) I did not have funds from this Kickstarter or from him for development, and in the end I did not have a publisher (though we've been through two over the years.) I cannot give you what this Kickstarter promised, but I will try to make things right as best I can. I am approximating here, rather than inviting specific corrections or cross-walks between add-on rewards and my future plans. If you want to discuss the gifts I am offering, I'm available to do so, but if you want to talk about what the Kickstarter owes you, that is beyond my scope. How will you get your digital gifts? I will use your emails as recorded in Kickstarter to send complimentary copies through DriveThruRPG's system so you can add them to your libraries there. If you do not get an email and think you were supposed to, contact me. [[email protected]] I get a confirmation email from DriveThruRPG with codes for each email address, and I can give you your codes. (Give it a day or so, I'll be sending the emails right after I post this.) How does the "Shields Up! Axes and Anvils" compare to the "Castle Nystul Axes and Anvils"? My version of the game is not exactly the same as what Mike Nystul would have made. However, I used the pitch on the Kickstarter as my guiding inspiration as I developed the game. The creative contributions of the faction-level backers are included in the finished result, credited in the book. I plan to continue development of Axes and Anvils resources that will include some greater detail from the contributions they have already made. I used a professional graphic designer, art by David Okum (who designed the seals for the dwarven overclans and other factions in consultation with the high-level backers), other purchased art (by Marcin and a map by Vandel), and my own art (for the GM book). I do not have the art by Jeff Laubenstein, as he did not grant me permission to use it. Where can I find out more? You can find the Axes and Anvils game products on DriveThruRPG.com {sales link removed] . You can find links to the products and descriptions on the Axes and Anvils blog here. The quickstart has an introductory adventure, and it is "pay what you want" so you can access it for free. I do not anticipate making a hardback copy of the rules at this time. "Under the Mountain" is the GM book that is attached to the main rulebook as a second half, and it is nearly ready to share (in the final round of adjustments with the graphic designer; it's laid out already). The Clan Book is built out and is with the graphic designer now. As digital files are ready, I will share them as reflected in this chart. What Delays Remain? The print version of the rulebook and the quickstart have proofs in the mail to me now. The rulebook was out, but I changed the link when I bought a domain for the official website, so the print version is offline until I get the new print. The quickstart proof is also in the mail to me. As the work neared completion I was attempting to get everything together and finished to triumphantly release all at once, but the process of delays and revisions can be disruptive. The GM book and the clan book are going through the final stages, print will be available for everything but the character packs, and the suite of Axes and Anvils game rules and supplements will be available. How can people support Shields Up! Publishing and Axes and Anvils? If you want to express your support financially, I invite you to buy any of the print products to go along with your digital copies. Also, you can go to the quickstart (which is "pay what you want") and contribute in that way. What comes next? I currently have plans for a number of Axes and Anvils resources, including a book on adventuring in Stoneshadow (the default setting). Updates will be shared on the Axes and Anvils blog. I will also be writing fiction for Axes and Anvils, integrating stories into my Patreon offerings. Axes and Anvils is poised to grow. The format is designed to encourage casual gamers and open tables, and the creative options reward experienced players too. People can try out the quickstart for free. The game's basic rules are inexpensive, and for all the products, if you buy the paper copy you get the .pdf for free. Thank you. Thank you for your faith in a game that places more emphasis on "we" than "me." In the coming year I will be running an open table online, and I will invite you to come and try the game out if you have interest and availability. Now you will have what you need to make your own legends in the world of Axes and Anvils. So many thanks to Andrew Shields who took this on after the original project creator failed, may it be successful for him
  20. What's better to start my KS Bones topic than Mr. Bones himself ? (bigger pics on my blog : click the pic to go there) (click on the pic to view more) (click on the pic to view more) (click on the pic to view more) And some treasure/objective tokens with Bones bits and various other stuff (Alkemy, Oathsworn Miniatures, GW, and even Ex-Illis) :
  21. Sophie at the Well of Lost Memories was my RC 2019 entry. I posed her on a sculpted base, reading through a stack of old diaries and journals written by those who have gone before us. She earned a bronze award.
  22. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tiltfive/holographic-tabletop-gaming I have me a bit of a dubious, largely because I'm not certain these will, in fact, work for anybody. But. Still.. the concept is pretty damn cool. "Tilt Five is a whole new way to play games, in Augmented Reality (AR), with freaking holograms! When you slip on the Tilt Five glasses and look at the game board, a vibrant 3D world opens up to you. Suddenly chasms seem to drop infinitely into your table, and game characters and monsters spring up from the game board. This is gaming unlike anything you've experienced before. "When we started designing the Tilt Five system our focus wasn't on the technology for technology's sake. We wanted to provide an amazing gaming experience that blends the things you love about video games and board games. And we wanted it to be just as fun when playing solo, together with your friends, or even when you're apart." Jeri Ellsworth, Co-Founder & CEO " Be interesting to see if this lives up to itself.
  23. A little more than 48 hours left for this one, I think it looks really cool. http://kck.st/2z0HjUk Kamigakari: God Hunters is a tabletop role-playing game set in modern-day Japan that combines centuries of Japanese mythology with a modern-day setting and urban fantasy action. You play as a God Hunter, a being wielding supernatural strength, magical abilities, and reality-warping spiritual powers. Your mission is to protect an unsuspecting populace from evil beings known as Aramitama, and to prevent the supernatural from leaking into the public eye. Originally, the game was released in Japan by Arclight Games on November 2013 as Legendary Arms RPG Kamigakari, to great popularity. In January 2017, a text-only fan translation appeared on the internet, exposing Kamigakari to the attention of English-speaking RPG fans world wide, and creating a thriving fanbase that continues to grow to this day! Serpent Sea Games is a team of experienced RPG translation and development professionals, including the creator of the fan translation, who have licensed Kamigakari from the creators at Arclight Games for publication in English and want to bring the game officially to Western audiences. But we need your help to bring this book into existence! The Game The world of Kamigakari features a distinctly seinen action anime and style to it. With crazy abilities and flashy powers, it's an over-the-top world where you can battle kaijus, giant robots, gods and demons all under the same umbrella. The system is designed to keep interactions as simple and intuitive as possible, for an easy pick-up-and-play. Kamigakari splits its play up into "scenes", which are short, episodic and will often split the focus onto individual players. It's a different experience compared to western systems that often assume the party is always together, which allows for more varied and engaging character focus and development. So what is a God Hunter? A God Hunter is a person who, through one means or another, has gained supernatural powers by possessing a shard of a legendary weapon, relic, suit of armor, or maybe even the crystallized soul of a legendary hero. These powers can be anything from a master of the sword or magic, transforming hero, a living avatar of flame, or the ultimate hacker. Instead of a familiar class-based system, Kamigakari uses its own character generation called Styles, which lets you mix and match your power sets to create a gun-slinging samurai, a chainsaw-wielding magical girl, a hacker who codes his magic into existence, or a hunter who stalks his victims through the shadows. And it's not just limited to your class: weapons and gear are utilized under the Arms system, a mechanic where a base weapon is upgraded over time by using materials or spending gold. Two basic swords, in the hands of two different god hunters, can end up very different weapons after extensive modification! An average God Hunter on a normal day. Does being a God Hunter mean that you hunt gods? Of course it does! With concepts rooted in Shintoism and traditional Japanese folklore, a God Hunter is tasked with tracking down dangerous beings known as Aramitama - a dark god that is born and grows in power by devouring the souls of its victims. Aramitama come in many forms - from recognizable Japanese icons like oni and tengu, mythical beings like the Pegasus or Griffin, to eldritch monstrosities made of gnashing teeth and glowing orbs. Upon defeating an Aramitama, God Hunters can use their remains to create stronger Regalia - magical weapons and equipment, in order to face even even more powerful Aramitama. It's not just a fun gameplay loop, either: These creatures threaten the sanctity of innocents and the world in their lust to reach their ultimate form, the Avatar of Ruin, a true god of destruction capable of ending the world. It's up to the God Hunters to prevent that! An Aramitama awakens. Kamigakari utilizes the unique Numen Dice pool. Numen Dice are resource wherein you roll a set of dice and use it to pay for abilities or change the outcome of a roll. There's many ways change, swap and spend dice. Players must be careful how they manage their Numen Pool to both survive the battle and save the perfect set of Numen Dice to activate their ultimate abilities! We'd like to support this game far into the future, and plan on translating and releasing supplements if financially viable. Arclight Games has also requested the creation of original content exclusive to the western release, but that can probably wait until we have a few expansion books finished, we're only mentioning it now in the interests of full transparency.
  24. Per Izzy, If you picked up either of the Art Books in the Bones III and IV kick-starters and would like to get them autographed, be sure to bring them with you to ReaperCon. Izzy will be signing them when time allows.
  25. A news post on the Eclipse Phase site just announced a Kickstarter campaign for a second edition of the main rules. No exact date yet, but they're planning to release in October, so very soon. I will be backing this one.
