  1. Was so glad to find this figure to use as one of the final bad guys in my kids current campaign. Not altogether happy with how the tentacles turned out and I still can't do smooth transitions from dark to light on cloth (well, anything), but overall, quite happy with how this turned out. Lets see the little sods darlings backstab this one and dispatch him in two rounds.....
  2. I decided to paint my ‘Crimson Herald’ as more ‘King in Yellow’. First figure I’ve painted in a while but I’ve been meaning to try this color scheme on him since I picked him up.
  3. So got my first airbrush yesterday and was messing about figuring out how to use it. Today I had my first attempt at basecoating and basic shading with it. Dont think I have the dilution quite right, but I'm not sure which way to go. C&C appreciated! 5
  4. Whoop WHOOP, first part of the big commission done. They look pretty nice lined up like this I think the customer is gonna be happy!
  5. This broccolien guy, I swear. I go to paint the bandages on him and I'm like wait that's not a bandage, that's a tentacle. So I painted the bandages I could make out and the skin the same color, planning on doing something with the skin later, maybe a touch of grey. I have no idea where I'm gonna start with the tentacular mass. What the even broccoli.
  6. Started Cthulhu Wars for a friend today and I think I need some help with the Yellow Sign cultists. I'm starting with the robes and I feel like something went wrong somewhere along the line, not sure exactly how to fix it. Base coated black, then drybrushed ochre through yellow, then went back through glazing ochre through yellow. Maybe a dark brown wash will help. Could use some help.
  7. So I'm painting Cthulhu Wars base set for a friend, Just finished my first mini, thought I'd put up a thread here with the completed work. If anyone has any comments or suggestions or things they'd have done different, I'd love to hear it. I know I have a lot to learn and I'm always striving to get better. Yellow Sign - King in Yellow WIP thread: Finished Pics:
  8. Allright so I was painting and then the idea occurred to me to try to paint gore on the wings. Needless to say I got carried away and I'm not *quite* sure how to make it look good again. Please help! Third pic specifically, I'm fairly happy with the other parts.
