  1. Hi all! Just recently finished painting my first Ral Partha figure: a heavy-armored warrior and a pretty dragon! Getting the pieces to fit together was a bit of a hassle (maybe it was a bad mould?), but after I got that sorted out I decided to go to with a classic blue dragon look. Look at those chompers!!! Used MSP Dragon Blue (29815) for the scales and wings, Sparkling Blue (09104) for the plate scales on the spine, and a mix of the Blonde Triad for the belly scales, horns, and wings. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with this one. Certainly earned a display place on my desk.
  2. Hey guys! I am looking to recreate The Heroes of the Lance from the Dragonlance books. I was wondering which miniatures people would suggest ( from Reaper only ) and why? Thanks!
  3. This guy was a lot of fun and, at the same time, very frustrating. I tend to assemble completely then paint. It's a personal preference, but this guy had enough gribbly bits that I felt I would do it a disservice. I'm very happy with how he turned out, even if the photos aren't as good as I'd like them to be. This is always a frustration with me, but these photos really don't do the poor soul any justice. The horse, however, is probably the worst thing in the figure, I used references, but still came out waaaay too flat, but it looks okay-ish all together. Dismounted: C&C Welcome!
  4. Last time I was at the local gaming shop, my girlfriend tagged along. She's been looking over my shoulder a lot when I fade off into fantasy-land; and when she found some "cute" miniatures, she decided she wanted to learn how to paint them. So here is the result of the first sessions. Just simple painting mechanics for the table top. I was impressed at least. :) And of course: Showing interest in my nerdy hobbies get her some extra stars. ;) She painted the one on the left. Sort of mimicking what I did on the right.
  5. So, here is my Year of the Giants, Non-Reaper entry. It is Privateer Press' classic Metal Spriggan. Amazingly fun to paint, and mean in-game...
  6. This is a piece from my private collection. The idea was based upon the famous art work of (St. George vs. The Dragon). I had both pieces in my old parts box. The knight is a 15mm figure from (Battle Systems) and the dragon is an old (Grenadier) piece.
