But there is one who is the most fearsome of all, Taloc the Beastmaster is a formidable warrior himself wielding his ceremonial weapons there are few who can withstand him, but his mount is the most terrifying of all. Her name is Kroq-Gar and she's the largest Ancient One to be found in the Lost World. How it came to be that she chose to bond with Taloc nobody knows, but she did and Taloc only needs a gentle touch or whispered word and Kroq-Gar will do as he pleases. She can swallow a human whole. There are other terrible creatures in the Jungle, but even the mighty Carnosaur is no match for Kroq-Gar. With her spiked tail and huge teeth she can kill any creature and her back is protected by a spiked boney ridge. Taloc made sure to protect her even further by adding golden plates to her side and a headcrest. When Taloc and Kroq-Gar appear on the battlefield there is no doubt who will be victor. ***************** Many pics, hope you like her. Comments welcome. Some close ups of Taloc.

Never heard of this before but it's a cool monster. Not sure when or where you'd run into one, but I bet it will be the most inconvenient time and place. According to online sources they come in all colors, so I loosely based mine on a green iguana.

This was a fun and easy paint job. He comes with a variety of arms and weapon options so you can customize the figure. (and the extra arms are nice for conversions)

Yet another new thread! (At some point I really should think about starting a blog, or whatever the cool kids do these days, instead of cluttering up the forum with my stuff.) While it's possibly a banning offence, I've gotta admit I don't particularly care for Sophie or her various minis, but this one really leapt out at me. I may have made things extra hard for myself by fully assembling everything, but she has little, dainty feet so I was never going to be able to pin her to a cork. Started with her skin (1:1 Rosy Skin/Beastly Brown > Flesh Wash > 1:1 Rosy Skin/Beastly Brown > 1:1:1 Rosy Skin/Light Skin/Beastly Brown), I was trying to give her a tan, but I don't think it's as simple as adding brown to the skin colour, however the colour I did end up with is rather nice. It's hard to see, but she also has (slightly googly) eyes, lip and eye makeup (1:1:1:2 Rosy Skin/Light Skin/Beastly Brown/Hexed Lichen) and eyebrows (Scarlett Red), I also basecoated her hair while I had the Scarlett Red out.

A friend with a 3D printer made this for me. I spent about an hour painting it, and it's now an NPC in my Eberron campaign. Painting was odd because it's not a very clean print, there are lots of little fibers and print lines on it which obscure detail. I painted very quickly with a lot of wet in wet blending. I'm quite happy with the result given the amount of time it took and the nice-at-arm's-length blending. My friend is continuing to work with the printer, so eventually he's going to print this up again at a higher quality. The design is on Thingiverse if you like it.

I am running a D&D Noble Gala for my Elder Spawns game. Once the party gets rolling the dinosaurs are going to show up. These are speedpainted - but as a group, less than 5 hours total. they are color-coded with the eyes matching the colors on base.

Basic paint job on these, a yellowy green coloured primer then a green wash. Then a water effect with gloss mod podge.

Finally got around to painting this awesome fig today. I was torn between painting it like a lava monster or a blue/green chameleon. I am running an adventure next weekend that takes place deep inside a mountain, so I decided on the lava lizard style so I have a little something extra to throw at the party if they are having too easy of a time. I am definitely going to snag another one of these to paint with bright greens and blues at some point though. I think I will also go over the feathers on the head along with the arm hair later this week to brighten them up a little. I wanted those parts to be the biggest feature, so I want them to look blazing hot. Critiques and advice are always welcome, thank you in advance!

I'm not entirely sure what this is supposed to be; I got it in a group of figures that I bought on Ebay. I know it's by Grenadier, and that's it. I painted this up as part of my Morihalda challenge; to a (hopefully) decent tabletop standard. Those eyes were tons of fun.

These are Giant Ant Soldiers from Otherworld Miniatures. I made a scenic base with Milliput and used the Greenworld Stuff Aztec Rolling Pin on it. Then added a Lizardman Skull from Ristul's Extraordinary Market. I used a little water effect on the base to make it appear more swamplike. And I clipped off some plastic aquarium plant pieces to paint as jungle plants. Added a tiny piece of driftwood from the garden centre. Hope you like it. Feel free to comment.

I finished another recruit for my Lost World Project. This time the Bones Lizardman Warrior sculpted by Ben Siens. I'm less happy with him because of lack of detail in the face area. Big Bones are great and well detailed, some of the smaller can lack some detail. But he will do, He will be a grunt in the army so nothing special. I do like how the shield came out though. Without further ado... Here he is, hope you like the little coldblooded guy.

When Bones 3 arrives, I'm thinking of assembling an army for Ma'aldrakar. Now, given that Ma'aldrakar represents Tiamat, the logical foot soldiers would be kobolds. Here's the problem - Reaper (and all other manufacturers I can find) only supply the Psuedo-doglike kobolds of 2e and before. I am much more a fan of 3e/Pathfinder's pygmy dragonborn/lizardmen. So, Reaper forumers, my question to you is this - do you know of anyone who makes 3e/Pathfinder style Kobolds?

He's too cute to be one the of the deadiest lizards.

Three Bowmen and a Bow Lizard These guys have been sitting around primed for years. They got grabbed up on Saturday the 31st for a quick speed paint to qualify for the Resolutionary Painting Challenge. This morning they were all white primer. Here are a pair of pictures: All of these archer models were included in the 5th edition boxed set for Warhammer Fantasy. I probably got these specific models on sale or with an wBay auction. I did not prime them—somebody beat me to it. The little guy is a Skink. The smallest type of lizard in the Lizardmen army. The three identical archers are one of two poses of Bretonnian archers that came with the set. If I had been clever I could have made a list of colors used. Comments and suggestions are in order.

Here is my take on the Reaper Dark Heaven Basilisk (2841). At first the whole basilisk was too brown and boring, but I did some glazing with a mossy green, and that helped. This was how brown he was before I decided to make him greener: Edited to add SKU to title and tags
