  1. Okay, so now that multiple people are doing 7-day challenges, here's the present iteration of rules and guidelines. Please note that these challenges are fan-run and not officially endorsed by or affiliated with Reaper Miniatures. Reaper may, at their sole discretion, offer a prize when such challenges overlap with contests, but for the most part these are just for kicks and maybe some forum fame. The Basics: 1. You may use no brushes larger than Size 0. As Size 0 can vary by company and brand, the average bristle dimensions are 10mm long by 1mm wide. When selecting brushes, try
  2. After declaration of completion in your WIP thread, you have 2 hours to submit your official entry photos in this thread (this is to allow time for setting up of photo taking area). Up to 5 pictures per entry may be submitted. This thread will be open for submission of completed entries until midnight CST on August 1st 2018. Questions? 3. Hi guys, i have just finished All the minis from Bones 3, here is my Ma'aldrakar.
  4. Okay folks, not folks, and whatever else you care to be or not be. Here we go. I am going to attempt the challenge I half-jokingly laid before the Goblin Lunar Emperor when Ma'al Drakar was first introduced to us. Five Heads in Five Days. The Goal, to paint the entire sculpt, including base and terrain piece in under 120 consecutive hours. That is a full five days, using nothing larger than a size 0 brush to apply paint to the figure. The Official rules give a full week of seven days, but I, being completely insane, have decided to attempt to shave two days off that, in honor of th
  5. "Once upon a time there was a evil wizard, who through various nefarious means captured 5 dragons and fused them into one through a devious, powerful spell. He called the resulting creature "Ma'aldrakar", however was unable to be controlled by him and broke loose not long after the joining. Each head retained its personality and individual mind, and this resulted in a creature constantly at war with itself. Once free in the lands, away from the mage who had done this to them, the true horror of the situation became apparent. Before long, two heads rose to dominance over the others….
  6. Home from work, dogs fed, chickens fed - ready to go. I think. I have the next 3 days off work so hoping to get lots of time to paint.
  7. It begins! This is my fourth beastalicious BIG THING, so I am now officially a Grizzled Veteran. Now once again I take the field to vanquish something huge with my heroic, and teeny tiny, brush. Who will win? The plucky goblin, or the Terrible Tyrant of Terror? (I bet he's nice when you get to know him) My timestamp, to log my recklessness (and possible eternal shame) into The Record:
  8. A compilation of all the photos shown of him so far, so that those on the fence about him or just wanting to admire him can see all the pictures in one place, without having to flip between different updates! I personally cannot wait to get this guy in hand and start painting him! Full 360 Video! The teaser image, our very first glimpse of the completed thing! Close up of the five heads: View of right side with ruins moved front/Left side view Left Side view (updated pic!) Front view Back view!
