  1. I finished Churrusina. I am mostly happy with her. Not 100% on the spell effect. I painted and repainted it and decided this was the best try so stopped. I have included the purple smoke photo I used for inspiration, I just couldn't quite get there! Anyway, I think she looks like she could be an interesting NPC for my players to "meet"! C&C welcome. Thanks for looking! Pretty purple smoke.
  2. This is Istariel from Judgement. I am pretty happy with how she turned out. I used the Olive Skin triad on her. I just bought them at Cancon and wanted to test them out. Really like them so will be ordering some of the other skin triads soon. I used several other Reaper paints including Nightshade Purple (my favorite!), and the clears = red, yellow, and purple. She is the first 54 mm that I have painted. I figured with her being larger, her eyes would be bigger. Nope! With so much fire and the way that it wraps around her, it was hard to do realistic highlig
  3. Experimenting with some new transparent paints I got to produce a lighting effect, think it turned out pretty well. I'm probably going to have to go over it to get the base colors and I'm not sure I'll be able to make it look this good again, so thought I should get a couple photos.
  4. I’ve been running D&D games for 30 plus years and occasionally someone will ask to play a character with psionic abilities. I usually resist allowing this; I don’t want peanut butter in my chocolate. I view psionics as a science fiction component rather than fantasy, the theory that science fiction is a form of fantasy not withstanding. I generally prefer my fantasy to focus on magic and medieval European settings, and leave other historical cultures, aliens or technology out. Over the years I’ve mellowed and come to accept that players just want to enjoy the fantasy of taking on a role th
  5. For your consideration: Reaper Bones miniature Female Anti-Paladin. It wasn't until I started on my idea for the shield that I realized that *it* was the Main Character. Not exactly a daemon-possessed sword, but a symbiotic relationship none-the-less. Extravagant tone with bright, decadent colors. She-Hulk for the hair. Massive Voodoo for the dots. (More dots!) My cat Zen for the eyes. (He's a Tom.) Lots of non-textured areas to tell a story. Great player character or reoccurring NPC. A lesson of extreme - in Color and form. The armor was protective but the clothing was tattered like
  6. Hay there haven't posted in a wile, my store is under renovation so I haven't been able to work on stuff lately. I was working on a half orc anti paladin but unfortunately I guess I didn't mix the epoxy correctly when I was gluing the figure together and half way threw painting her she fell apart. So instead I was able to finish this first and wanted to share it. This is the 60059 Harrower, in my mind she is standing at the edge of a cliff channeling magic getting ready to attack what ever is below her. I wanted to try something different with the magic effect so I tried we blendin
  7. Hopefully quick question on painting non-traditional colored fire. Basically wanting to make sure I am on the right track here. I am currently painting up the kobold sorceror (the dude on the right) and have the idea of making the fireball in his hand blue (as if he is producing an electrical damage effect). In part, this is to create some additional color since he already has the torch on the left (which I am aiming for a more traditional orange-red flame effect). So the idea I had was to start by painting the whole flame white, then start layering with progressive
  8. I think this is my best yet. What do you guys think.
  9. My first miniboss for my wrath of the righteous campaign. Please keep making these Pathfinder minis Reaper!
  10. Couple more demons for my Wrath of the Righteous campaign. This time its a succubus and the innocent new girl in town, Mary Lith. Bases are chaos bases from a recent CMON kickstarter. The marilith is based on a coral snake pattern and the succubus is based on a naked chick. Thanks! Thanks to carnacki for filling me in on the nudity policy which i should have read. The Following links contain nudity (though I dont know why a shirtless man is less offensive than a shirtless woman) Succubus http://i61.tinypic.com/142zdoh.jpg http://i62.tinypic.com/okd8vo.jpg http://tinypic.com/m/j5d

  12. Female Sorceress for Hero Quest:
  13. In our town one of the teaches loves games and holds a small weekend convention. While there I picked up some new pulp figures. How can you go wrong buying extra cultists and Nazis? Being a big fan of the Hellboy movie I had to make the following: Didn't notice how badly his feet are floating until I got a low angle shot. Oh well, nobody will be looking at that in game ;) I hope...
  14. Here is another piece that I made for the GenCon sculpture contest. This one is out of green stuff. I did not go the classic pointed hat route instead I used a action pose, I had thought about making the hat on the ground next to him and a sword on the back of the belt but decided that those would might clutter up the figure. I put in a "walk around view" and have been working hard to keep under the posting size. Let me know what you think, and thank you for taking time to look.
  15. Here is a look at some of my work. I entered this into the GenCon sculpture contest last year. It is one of my characters for D&D 4E, a Genasi Stormborn, Sorcerer. I have 3 views of him, let me know what you think. I used Kneadite for this one, home made twisted wire armature, and guitar string for the staves. He is "flying" supported buy a wind cloud under his one foot.
