  1. Ok finally got the Spring Exchange mini completed. It has no base because Buckyballs requested it be non-based as he will just clear base it anyway for gaming. I am terrible at painting ladies and this one had a lot of fiddly bits. I didn't do a great job but for a tabletop gaming piece I think it will do the trick. I just hope my partner likes it. Better pics taken with an actual camera! Original pics from the cell phone using the light box.
  2. Hjordisa Ymirsdottir from Red Box Games. One more Tre Manor sculpt. I struggled to get a good photo as the figure is quite small. I'm really satisfied with the paintjob.
  3. Finished up the month with Bobby Jackson's Satheras, Elf Warlock. This is the metal version. I'll be using him as an NPC in the Pathfinder Game I'm running--Gerinnes Lefelen, an elven wizard who's the de facto ruler of a town and the PC's benefactor . . . for now. Mwah ha ha. I'd had this mini on my to-get list for quite some time, having wanted to paint it since the moment I saw it, but I must confess that once I started getting into it I found the robes a little silly, regarding what's part of what and what's not. I just kind of winged it, in the end, hehe, without being altogether sure how it should go. But it was still pretty fun. Thanks for looking! Comments and criticism are always appreciated.

    A Troll Mage

Finally finished the adorable Troll Mage from Stonehaven:- I felt she had a real '80s childrens fantasy film' vibe, so I made her rather colourful! Super pleased with how she turned out, particularly the eyes, I think they're my best ones yet (though that probably has more to do with their size than any real levelling up of my skills). C&C, as always, is appreciated.
  5. I think this is okay under current rules, didn't want to do a thread per mini. Here's Pandoras crew all primed and based on some cork:- Next I basecoated their skin, since they're all ghosts (I think) and I needed 1 colour to tie them all together, I used Vampiric Shadow on all of them:- And then I basecoated the smoky, twisty lower halves of the Poltergeist and the Woes with a 3:1 mix of Vallejo Hexed Lichen/Nightmare Black:- I also meant to paint the strand of smoke from Pandoras Box of Mystery the same colour, but I forgot.

    Gnome Magician

Also finished my Gnome Magician:- The blends on the back of his coat could be a little neater, but otherwise I'm really happy with him. Comments and criticisms graciously received.
  7. After sitting on my desk for a few months, I finally finished Lysette in bones. After working with her on and off, I would really like to get her in metal. Comments, critiques, and feedback greatly appreciated. I'm at a plateau in my painting and could use a good kick in the rear to get to the next level.
