This week I completed Feiya, Iconic Witch from the Bones I Kickstarter Iconics and Officially Licensed Pathfinder Miniatures set. I did this figure because my playtest of the Frostgrave rules last week made we want a properly winter based figure to act as Apprentice to my Illusionist wizard. I had pressed Cassie the Gnome Wizard in to duty as the Apprentice, but was not happy with her green grass base. Meanwhile, I felt Feiya looked suitable wrapped up for cold weather adventuring. So many of the remaining wizard figures I have yet to paint just don't look dressed for a winter trek. I'm really pleased with how she came out. The Frostgrave rules say that Illusionists dress in bright, multi-colored outfits, and I wanted to bring that across in this Apprentice. My thinking was that she is young and still enjoys playing with colors and different appearances. The figure I'm using as my older Wizard, (see: http://allbonesabout.blogspot.com/2015/01/anirion-wood-elf-wizard-figure-132-of.html ) is more jaded and knows the wisdom of sometimes using camouflage and blending in. For the full write-up on my painting of Feiya, please see my Bones blog: http://allbonesabout.blogspot.com/2015/09/feiya-iconic-witch-figure-169-of-265.html

I've been a fan of this mini since the first time I saw it but still it took me some time to buy it, and almost even more time to gather up the courage to paint it. It didn't quite end up the way I wanted it to (I don't have that good brush control) but still it turned out kind of nice.

Hey there all, This is my first time painting a miniature; I have always wanted to do it and just never did. So finally a group of my friends and I set up a game of Pathfinder and I needed a mini for my character. This presented the perfect opportunity for me to try my had at painting a miniature. I tried out a few different techniques, layering, drybrushing, oil wash and like the final product. Any constructive criticisms would be appreciated. Cheers all, Will
