Finished up the last mini from the Core Skills kit. I think he turned out ok but the shield and shield arm was probably the hardest part to paint. It was hard trying to get into all those tight corners with the brush and trying to keep the blue and metal separate from each other on the shield when dry brushing. And here are all three of the Mini's from the Core Skills kit. Looking at them compared to some of the older stuff i've done I think i've seen some improvement. The orc, I think is still the star of the kit followed by Timur and the the archer. Now its on to the layer up kit.

Here is another Mangu Timur. This time I made it for one of my fellow players in our Sunday game. His character is a Purple Dragon Knight turned Paladin of Vengeance. I worked the purple in subtly, and went with a green motif as per his suggestion.

I painted my last figure from the Learn to Paint Kit: Core Skills. I'm thinking i'll order the next kit to work on layering. I found this figure a little tricky because I used so much of the metallic paint. I'm happy overall with how it turned out. My favorite spots are the blue fabric in the back and the shield. Can't wait for the next set of figures to come in. It's exciting to already see how far I've come and how much I've learned from painting my first mini. C&C welcome, I'm always looking for ways to improve! Thanks for checking him out. ~WhatsEcstacy

Hello everyone, So I have had reaper minis since the first bones kickstarter, but it wasn't until recently that I actually decided to start painting. I wanted to show off what I've done so far, and hopefully post other pictures as I make progress. I realize that these are rough, and I appreciate any advice on the matter. I posted these pretty well in the order that I painted them, and had anywhere from a few days to a few weeks between each mini. I think I am finally getting the hang of dry brushing, as seen with the golem, and the more I learn, the more I think I need to go back and touch up my older paint jobs. But overall, I'm pretty happy with the way they look. I can't wait to use them at the game table! P.S. I probably need to find a better place and method for taking pictures. These are ok, but I like the more professional looking pictures I tend to see. Apologies if the quality on these pictures is not excellent.

After lurking around off and on for the past year and a half or so I've decided that y'all seem to be a safe bunch of nuts so I figured I might as well say hello and try that whole being sociable thing, I thought I'd share the first things I painted. These are from the Learn to Paint Bones Kit I got in January of last year when I first discovered Reaper. I have to say that I have been really impressed with their customer service! These are currently tacked onto my monitor at work:

First up my first sculpt, a green slime I made out of excess green stuff. I added a skull I had laying around on the suggestion of my husband. I also recently finished the last Bones zombie (77054) I had not yet painted, plus one of the ghasts (77159) for gaming use. I had a paint disaster earlier in the year where I spilled a bunch of metallic paint, so Mangu Timur (77148) was the recipient of some of that excess: Happy New Year everyone! Edited to add Figure SKU in the tags
