Continuing the WIP from http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/64819-lexomatics-fall-2015-wip I'll be working on my shelf of shame minis, trying some bones 2 anhurians, some outstanding hearthstone minis, and maybe some more animals and skeletons, and ice walls and slimes. Also some zombicide crows (as lots of different birds

I'm just getting started on this, posting a new thread to motivate me to stay on top of things. Internet is a bit slow today, so hopefully I'm not straying too far from the new guidelines. I'll post pictures when my internet is better The Orc Berseker will be an experinent in the Ollie Kickflip layering/blending method... so the reverse of my other orcs. I'm also using different colours for the skin - a more olive-y scheme. I'm going to base him the same way as my other orcs, all at the same time, so I'll probably do a show-off thread with all of them. The Tiik warrior will be a tester for some ideas for my Kraken from the Bones II kickstarter. Incidentally, somewhat similar to the paint job for the tiik champion. The Ranger Michelle, is a mini I'm painting for my gf, her colour scheme on request. The Ferocious feline is inspired by our cat Moose (who you can see in my avatar). Considering my schedule, I think I will be lucky to finish these this year, but I really hope I can.

I painted up Horace Action Jackson (Bones 80023) up really quick (2 hours) as something different from Teronus the dragon. The NMM on the gun is the first time I have succesfully done steel NMM, yay. The white shirt was done to test the recipe for white (Reaper MSP Cloudy Gray, Misty Grey, Pure White) from paintdawg in this thread http://www.reapermini.com/forum/index.php?/topic/52298-reapers-anima-tactics-and-one-ancient-ral-partha/ . I think it came out very nice, and will definitely use that recipe again. Maybe there are some Unicorns in my future. Fulumbar (Bones 77011) was started at the painting faces class at GenCon with Lyn Stahl (Thanks Lyn, I really enjoyed your class!). I finished him a while ago, but I hadn't gotten my photo setup out until now. Michelle (Bones 77022) is the one I like the least out of this bunch, the casting was a little flat in places, so I didn't spend a lot of time on her. At least she is fine for table-top, which is where most all my minis will end up. The picture actually looks better than the figure does in real life. That is a first. And last I will show off some mini's I painted 20+ years ago using Testors enamel. I am pretty sure all six are from Grenadiers Julie Guthrie lines:

Still trying some original bones. Here's my take on Michelle. Not the best photos, but you can get the general idea.

One Michelle done here! Based on the feedback I got on my last mini (Flit the Dragon), I tried to go for some sharper contrasts on this one, and I also messed around with a little lining. Not super happy with the cloak, but I was fiddling with it and eventually just told myself to move on in the spirit of keeping things fun. The eye patch isn't really an original idea, I think I've seen more than one Michelle 'patched up' like this, but her right eye was just so messed up I think this was the best way to handle it. C&C is always welcome! Also, here's a group shot of the eight Bones I have completed so far. As I'm of course still waiting for my 'big box' to arrive, I would have liked to have had my eight fellows here displayed with a big cute "Welcome to your new home!"-banner. Or perhaps, a bit more aggressively, toting "Stop this atrocity! Release our 240 friends now!"-placards. ( )
