  1. About this project Wondering what this campaign is about? It's about Micro Art Studio's great Tabletop Battlefields! Some players lack time to create a nice-looking gaming board. Unfortunately sometimes it ends up with playing on random, clumsy terrain - this is where we step in to change it! We created unique sets by mixing a bit of our current products with some new, superb releases! We give you battlefields of the highest quality, where you will fight the most epic battles! Game-ready tabletop board scenery sets are a totally new idea - containing thematical terrain and a playmat available at a decent price! The scenery is made of special polyurethane foam which is well known for its durability. It is easy to glue with cyanoacrylate adhesive and can be primed & painted with almost any coating. Products we create are up to date with current rules of different wargames, therefore playing on them feels natural and easy-going. We are wargamers ourselves, so don't hesitate and put your trust in us! Shipping rates Keep in mind that pledge values do not include shipping costs. They will have to be added in the pledge manager after the campaign is finished. Your shipping will never be more expenive than 60$ (30$ for EU), no matter what you choose or what your location is. All packages will be tracked and we take full responsibility for their delivery.
  2. I finished another recruit for my Lost World Project. This time the Bones Lizardman Warrior sculpted by Ben Siens. WIP is here for those interested: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-army-of-the-lost-world-xherman1964-paints-coldblooded-creatures/ He is based on a Resin Jungle Base from Micro Art Studios. I'm less happy with him because of lack of detail in the face area. Big Bones are great and well detailed, some of the smaller can lack some detail. But he will do, He will be a grunt in the army so nothing special. I do like how the shield came out though. Without further ado... Here he is, hope you like the little coldblooded guy.
  3. I give you a T-Rex from DSA ( Das Schwarze Auge - The Dark Eye) an OOP German Manufacturer. He will be part of my Lost World Army. WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-army-of-the-lost-world-xherman1964-paints-coldblooded-creatures/
  4. Presenting a fearsome Ogre Gangster from Micro Art Studios Wolsung game. My latest attempt to re-ignite my painting mojo was to work on a mini from my part-painted pile, see if actually finishing something would give me a boost. So I got this guy done over the weekend. He was a lot of fun to paint despite the fact I'd only painted his coat previously and no longer remembered which browns I'd used, so I had to paint everything else very, very carefully. As always, any comments and criticisms are greatly appreciated.
  5. Presenting the Biocognator Golem from Wolsung, a steampunk robot piloted by a pair of lab mice who are determined to take over the world. There is a WIP thread for it here. Biggest lesson I've learnt painting this one? Don't use Vallejo Gunmetal Blue as a main colour! There's a nicely detailed mini in there somewhere, but the metallic blue just makes the whole thing too dark when photographed. As least it looks fairly good in hand. Any comments and criticisms are, as always, warmly received.
  6. This is the Micro Art Studio 30mm "Granny Weatherwax II" -- Esmerelda Weatherwax, known as Esme to her best friend and Granny to everyone else, top witch on all of the Discworld, as she appeared in Terry Pratchett's "Maskerade", come down from her home Up North to the Big Bad City in disguise as a Great Lady to rescue some friends from some pickles. As a witch, of course she always wears only black. The only version of this mini I have seen online painted up is all in sugary pastel colors (to emphasize the incongruity of the outfit, I suppose). According to the book's description: Truth to tell, I always pictured the dress in the book as something marvelously Edward Gorey, more the Titanic's timeperiod than Marie Antoinette. But this is fun too. So anyhow, I painted her up as a birthday gift for my husband, who has long loved the Discworld. Granny Weatherwax is one of his two favorite characters (the other is also painted, and I'll start a thread for later). I painted her up with a pitch black dress, then glazed over it with a rainbow of interference colors.
  7. Another finished Wolsung mini, this time it's the Sumo Wrestler from the Triad faction. Super annoyed I didn't spot that thumbprint on his base until after I'd got him attached, but I think the mini itself turned out really well. As always, any comments and criticisms are greatly appreciated.
  8. Presenting the Ogre Coffin-bearer, part of the Scylla faction in Wolsung. Decided to go really colourful and comic-booky with him, and I think it worked. Spats turned out to be surprisingly difficult to paint though. Any comments or criticisms are, as always, most appreciated.
  9. Presenting Vito Vendetta, the undead Halfling mobster from Micro Art Studios Wolsung. Painted him purely to try out my new rust paints on his chains, probably should've chosen something simpler for a first attempt, but I think they turned out pretty good, as has the mini overall. As always, any comments or criticisms are greatly appreciated.
  10. Been desperate to start on my Wolsung stuff, unfortunately most of it needs to be based before I can start painting, and I can't base any of it because I'm waiting on some basing stamps (to make more awesome cobblestones than I can create with my current sculpting skills). But I did find a couple I could mount on corks, Ms. Suess and a Ghoul (both from the Ven Rier faction):- Currently waiting for the Primer to fully dry, so it'll probably be tomorrow before I make any more progress.
  11. 'This style of boxing has been past down the Armstrong line for generations!' This is one of the three Wolsung minis I picked up to see what they looked like in the 'flesh' before all the ones from their recent Kickstarter arrive. Struggled a bit figuring out how to paint his trousers and hat, but I think I did okay overall. Comments and critiques are welcome.
