  1. Dear Tabletop and Tabletop RPG friends, we are so excited! After so much work, "Scenes in Ruins" is finally live on Kickstarter! We have designed and sculpted this huge collection of 3d printable terrain for you to always have the right ruined terrain options at hand, even across different genres. More than 150 pieces + stretches, modular, mostly stackable, tons of possible combinations, customizable. Actually not such an easy task, but now we are happy to bring the results of this process to your gaming tables. If you do not want to miss the 48 hours early bird slots, you should check out the project here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pharaohsworkshop/a-world-in-ruins-3d-printable-ruins-stl-terrain-megapack?ref=b9ej3o Thanks for your support!
  2. Cthulhu Investigators 2 32 mm STL, resin, and metal miniatures of Cthulhu investigators with serious references to characters from popular culture! by Kazrak Studio https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/saberandblood/cthulhu-investigators-2
  3. We are back in fantasy - however, not leaving modern actually! The new project "Pray" is about a remote chapel including graveyard and suitable for fantasy, modern and historic wargames and TTRPG. This time we come up with a quite dark and ghostly setting that will make you shiver. Do you dare to explore what evil is lurking behind those cemetery walls? Time to feed your printer! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pharaohsworkshop/pray-3d-printable-stl-chapel-and-cemetery-for-tabletops
  4. There is only a week left until Scrap Cemetery - Car Junkyard finally launches! This modern and post apocalyptic project is a perfect fit to get your table decorated! Be notified when we`re ready for takeoff: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pharaohsworkshop/scrap-cemetary-wasteland-junkyard-pay-what-you-want?ref=264i7x
  5. Allswell, USA. A small town from a time that seems simpler through the soft-filtered yellow lens of nostalgia. The sort of town where kids bike around after school and well-meaning but foolish teenagers get into minor but non-serious predicaments over the weekend. Neighbors greet each other if they don't have a grudge; a single income can support a family, whether it's blue-collar work down at the [regional industry] or an office job at the recently-opened Institute. Law enforcement is competent to deal with rowdy teens, speeders, and town drunks and that's about it. Weirder problems may require some meddling kids to solve. If you've seen a Stephen Spielberg movie OR a Stephen King movie, or any of their imitators (Stranger Things, The Iron Giant, Super 8, etc.) you know the place. Maybury, Ray Bradbury country. It's a generic backdrop, a place that never was but that we wish had been. The name comes from Chris van Allsburg and Norman Rockwell, plus the nice overtones of optimism and echoes of Roswell. For of course, weird stuff goes down in Roswell. Your average wage-earner or housewife won't notice it or doesn't have time to pay attention; they have their own problems and in any case they can only see changes to the norm through the lens of the Cold War. But there's weirdness all right. Weird stuff down in the mine, or out in the woods at night. Strangers visiting the Institute on strange errands, very strange strangers indeed. Children can see it. They have an unerring instinct for finding differences and exceptions to rules. (Pictured: two Perfectly Normal Citizens, according to a grown-up, and one meddling kid.) Teenagers too can see weirdness; their developing minds and natural antiestablishment rebelliousness are good for dealing with radical, out-there theories and their absolutely terrible judgement allows them to take ludicrous risks to investigate. So can some adults--not influential or respectable ones, but ones at the margins of society. Crackpots, drunks, hoboes, busybodies, cranks and recluses. Not the sort of people authority figures listen to. Pictured here are a handmade quonset hut, a Christmas decoration I found at a thrift store (the ice cream scoop and planters were separate dollhouse furnishings or pewter charms found on the same trip), and two Walther's HO railroad terrain kits, one the newsstands (one converted to a noodle stand) and Vic's Barber Shop. Too small to be accurate for 28mm scale, let alone 32mm, but good for backdrops and terrain. Click for more views. More to come, I hope!
  6. The Meanders Modern City 2 Digital Battlemap Kickstarter launches soon. Featuring 30 Maps with an All-New Oil Rig, Shopping Mall, Construction Yard and Suburbia Maps for your Meanders Collection. Sign up to get notified of launch and get 16 bonus maps when you back within 48 hours. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gametilewarehouse/meanders-rpg-maps-modern-city-2 Thanks very much for your support, Kind Regards, Kris (The MapHatter)
  7. What good is a small town without adventurous children to explore its mysteries and get into scrapes? 50042, Modern Children, to the rescue! Andi and Bailey here are painted up in a way loosely inspired by Mabel and Dipper from Gravity Falls. The flower sweater was good but needed even MORE color! Andi: Bailey: Charlie is a great sculpt; love the backpack. Schoolmates and friends, they'll be embroiling themselves in mysteries and predicaments. (Also featuring Bombshell's Flakk and Edna the Cat Lady, 50235.)
  8. 32 mm STL, resin and metal miniatures of Mythos Villians with serious references to characters from popular culture! 48 hour Early Bird pledge level. I've been pleased with the quality of their STL files from previous projects. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/saberandblood/mythos-villains
  9. From left: Lisa Lambaste, security guard Ken (painted as a Vermont state trooper), Red Raine, and Beth.
  10. Some of y'all may remember going to school in the 80's in your brand new corduroy pants.
  11. I've previously posted Hasslefree's Velma analogue 'Louise' as a Miskatonic library assistant. High time I got the rest of the gang together. A cheap toy VW bus is key to this whole thing. The flowers and turquoise are my addition. We have Not-Fred-for-Legal-Reasons! (Barney, postapocalyptic version. No ascot, sadly, but a more dynamic sculpt.) Not-Daphne! (Felicity, also post-apoc version; she looks good with a bat) Not-Shaggy and his Great Dane! (Wolsey, standard version, and Hamlet; the box of SNAX I made from a chunk of sprue) And Not-Velma (Louise, featured in another post.) More turnaround pix: What sorts of shenanigans would these meddling teens get up to? and why would they be hired by the circus? (Obviously, the circus doesn't want or need the regular police, even if they could help with spooky crimes.) ' Shaggy would immediately volunteer to check out the midway, I think. "Hey Scoob! You ever had a turkey leg...wrapped in cotton candy?" *doglike sounds vaguely approximating the phrase "Not yet!"* Daphne splits off to search for clues (there are plenty), Behold! A performer about to take a Louisville Slugger straight to the groin! Somebody has released the animals from the Beast-Tamer's act! Good thing Barney knows how to make himself look big and loud, not like panther prey! That'll scare them off. Nothing beats legwork and research for getting to the bottom of a problem. Somebody's been embezzling and cooking the books, if Velma's calculations are correct (they are). Hope you enjoy...I certainly did!
  12. Speed paint job that I did as part of my 4th of July Paint Binge this year. I was vaguely going for crazy Rutger Hauer from Blade Runner, with the white hair.
  13. My son's girlfriend stayed with us a week in the middle of May and I ran a Savage World WW2 horror one-shot. Tillie here was one of the pre-generated characters I had ready, but she was not picked by any of the 3 players (my husband, my son and girlfriend). Bombshell Miniatures 10024 Tillie the Pilot
  14. My son's girlfriend stayed with us a week in the middle of May and I ran a Savage World WW2 horror one-shot. These two american soldiers here was choices for one of the pre-generated characters I had ready, but he was not picked by any of the 3 players (my husband, my son and girlfriend). American Sniper, Reaper SKU 37008, also available in the multi-pack of American Soldiers SKU 50075. Pvt Tim Hernandez, Reaper SKU 37016
  15. My son's girlfriend stayed with us a week in the middle of May and I ran a Savage World WW2 horror one-shot for my husband, my son and the girlfriend. The nurse and doctor where the identical male and female versions of the same was one of the pre-generated character I had ready, and my son's girlfriend played the nurse. Probably the most challenging character to play, since the character was a pacifist. She did awesome though, came up with alternate ways to help in combat. Here is a photo of the 3 characters together, my son played the War Correspondent, represented by previously painted Max Decker, Private Eye (SKU 50051), my husband played the Guerrilla, represented by Ernesto, Revolutionary (SKU 50043) Links to the other show off threads: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/63252-max-decker-private-eye-reaper-chronoscope-50051/&tab=comments#comment-1186875 https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/91715-citrine-paints-ernesto-the-revolutionary-reaper/ Nurse Ann Foster, Reaper SKU 500528 Dr Thomas Welby, Reaper SKU 50257
  16. My son's girlfriend stayed with us a week in the middle of May and I ran a Savage World WW2 horror one-shot for my husband, my son and the girlfriend. 18. Along other things, i enjoy painting and gaming with 1/2400-scale modern naval craft. Here's my US Navy contingent thus far. Lake Erie, Carney, Ramage, and Samuel B Roberts are from GHQ, the rest are from Viking Forge. Up next are the Russians. All the surface combatants are from GHQ, the Kuznetsov and subs are Viking Forge, and the Mitrofan Moskalenko is from Shapeways.
  19. I rescued Bonnie and Max from the box of goodwill and made them ready for table use, sharing a simplified palette of colors: blue, tan, green, and orange. Max got a weapon swap, and some resculpting of the left arm because it was so much larger than the right it looked like it came off a different figure. I reposed Bonnie slightly more upright than her original position. They are both on CMON/Microarts graveyard bases. Max pulled his collar up against the wind and puled his old college scarf closer around his neck. "Come on Bonnie, there's nothing out here." "I heard something over there," Bonnie replied. "It's a cat. I don't think we need to worry about it. "
  20. Desiree Dark, from the RAFM line of Modern Heroes. This is the second time I have painted her, and I wanted to go dark, but not all black. Experimented with some rich purple and deep blue, and new metallics. She'll make a good vampire hunter or cultist bounty hunter.
  21. Is there anyone who might be interested in a PBP 4e GURPS lite (rules light, no crazy math) portal horror/ mystery modern day adventure. 1) Gurps 4e is published by Steve Jackson Games, and the free "lite" version of the rules is available online here. 2) This world is adapted by me from the fiction of Ian Rogers with my own additions. 3) Character creation rules NO MAGIC OR SUPER POWERS or cinematic skills/abilities 100 points available up to 50 points in disadvantages and 5 quirks as well. If your character concept is disabled, then there's leeway to go over this, but needs discussion with me first If you have 4e books or the character creator app, feel free to go for it. Otherwise I will post a list of templates and where they're located that I've vetted to guide you beyond the lite rules. A skill at 12/13 is considered professional quality. higher gets you a better ability to handle tough situations and improve chance at a critical. Really high skills might get notoriety (could be good or bad). Useful guidance http://forums.sjgames.com/showthread.php?p=369148 Also this free pdf condensing skills info should be useful 4) This is set in Toronto and Ontario Canada primarily. Your character doesn't need to be from there, you just need to have an idea of what you're doing there, and specifically to start, what you're doing in the PATH specifically (this will be how you are all introduced). After reading about the world basics, you will also need to think about any supernatural/ blacklands experience your character has had... if any, and if/how they were affected by it. The World Basics I'm hoping to be able to do a few posts a week, but because I'm new to this, and have limited availability it might be slower than I want. I'm unsure about the number of players - this could work with only a few. More later. Feel free to ask questions or express interest. If you have and use a skill that will allow you to obtain info/ achieve goal to advance plot, that will happen. I won't make people roll until something happens or things end. This site seems to have a decent character generator. There`s step-by-step at the top of the page, and it auto-calculates. Please print to pdf or printscreen or recopy. so I can review. If you need a template, please let me know. Please set point maximum to 100 (it defaulted to 300 for me). Current Characters list: 1)Magnus Albertson @Dilvish the Deliverer 2)Sammy @Arkady 3) Sam Travis @Corsair 4)TBD @Chaoswolf 5) Raoul @Colonel Kane 6) Morgan Faustus @Kangaroorex There will be a hard cap at 6 players. And maybe only 5 total. We're closing in on being able to start things.
  22. As if I didn’t have enough to do, I started playing around with the design systems on the Hero Forge web site. I finally ended up ordering a couple of figures to see how they looked when done. I’ve been reading the various Bordertown books lately, so ended up drifting into some urban fantasy territory here. It’s a little unfortunate that their system doesn’t have a playing pose, given the availability of the violin and bow. I do seem to accumulate musicians, though... The necromantic spell effect wasn’t my first choice, but it looked like the safest from a structural integrity view, so I went with it. Both of these were done in the higher grade plastic, and I was pleased to see that the layer lines were pretty much invisible after painting.
  23. Sometimes I like to turn the shipping containers into bunkers or other little outposty things. I got some kind of not-great pics this time. They're taken in various stages, so flock missing in some/not in others, and some areas do not appear painted here, that were painted later. EDIT: Hmmm.... I stuck these here because they started out as Reaper (models), but now I wonder if this should be in the terrain section.
  24. So I received my Harwood Hobbies cultists miniatures. I decided to try and make a warband out of them:[spoiler photo to come] Mr Karswell: Sigilist Ritual Leader: Apprentice 3 axe cultists+ executioner=melee/thugs the enforcer (w/ machinegun)= ranged I have a few more slots, so I'll need to see what other cultist minis I have, and whether they fit. Maybe I'll add Bones 3 cultists, or my Crooked Dice cultists I suppose I may choose some other school than sigilist, it's just that with the spellbooks, they LOOK like sigilists. I wish summoning weren't an opposed school, however. And also, just in case, I'll be doing a 2 priest setup as well, they make more sense as sigiists (also with books) leaving the cultists as a summoner warband.
