More of my wall of thorns from Bones5. They are a bit prickly to assemble, the pieces don't fit together very well, but with patience and a hobby knife they come out ok. I suggest painting at least the base coat before assembly, as getting in between the vines can be tricky afterward.

3Dprinted on my Elegoo Mars. Design-Onepagerules Jackal Assault Beast Part of the SCIFI Project. WIP: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/99265-intergalactic-journey-glitterwolf-paints-aliens-spacecraft-and-other-scifi-things/page/4/#comments *************************** It's a dangerous task to tame one of these beasts, but it's worth the risk! These beasts can travel the wastelands with ease, they don't need much food or water and they can be brutal in a fight. *************************

I challenged myself to paint more of the larger (bigger than human) sized figures this year. This was one I thought came out relatively well. The pig gives you a sense of how large he really is.

Hey everyone, here's a 02172, Cerberus I completed last night. This Dark Heaven Legends model was sculpted by Sandra Garrity. I was inspired by Simon Eckert's artwork for the choice of colors.

Painted as a gorgon for D&D, so iron not brass. Quick speed paint. Not terribly much to be done given the colour scheme. Tried to make the floor a bit more interesting. .

Hello All, Here is a recent work. "Male Revenant" 77301. I did change out the head. I removed the original head and replaced it with a skull. The skull was pinned in place. When I first saw the miniature, it made me think of the old Scooby Doo cartoon villains. So, I painted the skull to look like it is glowing a bit with glowing pinpoint eyes. Thank you for looking.

I am so excited about this but I've got some definite hurdles to jump over to get it done. I feel this is the only place I can share about this because I'm fairly confident the recipient won't see it. I am painting a 3d print of Zinogre from Monster Hunter. I know nothing about this but I've found some good references. Thus far I've spend 2 hours on just prep and I'm not sure I'm done. It's a decent sized mini, about 9 inches long and 6 inches tall at the highest point. My big struggle so far are the print lines. The picture I saw before I accepted this looked pretty smooth. When I got it I was surprised how much you can actually see it. Thus far I have primed it with Stynylrez (grey) by hand and done 2 coats of gloss varnish/medium to start to reduce the appearance and feel of the lines. I've still got quite a bit of texture to deal with and I don't really want to go through half my gloss varnish to get it smooth and risk losing the subtle details. So if anyone has any ideas of how to fix this further without starting over and spray priming I'm all ears. I was lucky enough that my friend had an extra copy that was slightly smaller and had some printing issues. I've been using this to test things out before I commit to putting it on the model. I did a test patch of primer, then gloss, then primer again and that feels smooth. This is where I'm at (spoiled for big pics):

Hey everyone, here's 02953, Cyclops sculpted by Tim Prow. It stands on a 25mm base and is 40mm tall to the top of the head. I've wanted to paint this model for a long time, it's been patiently waiting on the shelf for months. I finally found time to complete it last night during a late night session. I painted the grass on the base so it would look like orange tundra moss instead of regular green broccoli. What do you think?

Experimental speed paint. Transparent paints over a grisaille value sketch, with a few washes and pigments to finish off. Method worked pretty well for a monster with a lot of texture. .
