This is Halloween! - Paint a mini using only colors that have black, orange, and purple in the name. You may also use the paints available from this year's ghoulie bag. Bonus Challenge: 5! Festive feast - Since both US And Canada have their Thanksgiving in this time bracket - paint up a mini (figure or terrain) to have some food being presented, if you can do a drinking vessel to be painting like a full glass, even better! Bonus Challenge: 4! For-lack-of-a-better-idea- December 15th is national Cat Herders' day! Paint a tabaxi, or any other mini featuring a feline. (It's a real holiday, go ahead, look it up) Hard Mode Challenge 1! Jack-o-lantern's light - Paint a mini where the only source of light would be coming from inside a jack-o-lantern. Pumpkin may be part of the mini/base or sculpted Hard Mode Challenge 2! Under Wraps- Paint a mini so that anything that any non-flesh (armor-weapons-cloth-etc) looks like it's patterned wrapping paper. This is assuming a humanoid figure. Dragons or such apply the same challenge to the whole body. As always, the game is made up and the points don't matter!

[MOD]Please use the full SKU and name of Reaper minis in the titles of your Show Off threads, per forum guidelines. You can find this information on the blister card or in the online store. I also like to give credit to the sculptor in a tag, so people can find their favorites. We have a high volume of posts generated from this challenge, which is great! But it's also creating a lot of work for the mods. Your challenge is: 4 Bonus Challenge: Triad Because of the typical association with the month, fall, halloween (or whichever name you use for it) in order of Primary - secondary - accent colors: Orange, Purple, Green. And here's where it's interesting - no black or white. The 3, the only 3 families of colors that you may use are oranges, purples, and greens. EX: Highland Moss - doesn't say green, and thus doesn't qualify. Good luck

Your challenge is: 5 Bonus Challenge: Johnny Appleseed September 26th is recognized as the birthday of Johnny Appleseed (aka Johnny Chapman.) While the legend is larger than life, historically he did plant apple trees and sell trees to other settlers. (as far as preliminary research goes.) While a vague theme, the challenge is "Apple" as in the fruit. If you use only apple barrel paints? That qualifies? Sculpt/paint an apple? go for it.

Sir Forscale of House Procrastius, knight the fourth, shielding himself with a for scale, armed with a ruler for scale. I've never actually used greenstuff before (and yes I know he's on his base, the sealer wasn't completely dry at this point, so base-less pics after) From bottom of his foot to top of the ruler is actually the height of the sword tip (maybe off by a fraction of a mm)

So...because I'm so great at being timely, and this has been on my artist page for some time before getting it here: My RPchallenge Bonus: Fools Guild...Mercenary Group "The Eye." While technically masking electronic signature is more important than physical appearance with such powerful electronics...some ideas are still just bad. Your challenge is: 5 Bonus Challenge: The Fools' Guild. This bonus challenge is a LITTLE strange for most. Yes it's a bonus theme, but, if you do this, I'll let it count for 1 each March AND April regardless of size. Please tag it as "Foolsguild" when you post it so I can find it easier as well. The idea here to paint a mini of any genre that has an absolutely, positively, horribly stupid banner/color scheme/etc for what they're doing. Say you have the pulp ninja - paint him tye-die. Or maybe It's a townsfolk like the barkeep whose apron says "Try the burritos" (which we ALL know is a trap.) And a personal favorite of mine: "Order of the Eye" the tabard insignia is a bullseye. HOWEVER - I'm also challenging you to write a story on -why- they belong to the Fools' Guild. I'll personally be going with the Order of the Eye....yeah It's pretty stupid to have your front and back emblazoned with a bullseye. But I'll make a story for it. I don't normally make extra requirements for the mini like a story, but that's part of the 1 per month count. Even better if we can drop them all in the show-off on April First. Not much to say about this one (sans being late and too lazy to take lightbox pictures) but yeah, fingerpainted this little guy, not as messy as I expected, surprisingly. I put two drops paint in the palm of my offhand, then one drop water, to make it flow, then for the upper layer just did straight paint drybrush with finger.

Continuing my terrain theme for this month, I did 4 of the barrels, Nice and easy. Not much else to say here, really.

So here is what I painted for Siri for the fall exchange. I was asked to try something new, non-standard weapons such as polearms. After some looking around I found that the Japanese Edo Era used a few different types of non-lethal polearms for catching criminals. So this is where the different polearms came to be. Had some difficulty with the battleguard golem as his polearm kept trying to break on me, but i think it turned out okay-ish. The easiest one was the rioter's polearm. Any upstanding group of monster catchers has to have a designated "mule" to carry their supplies right?
