  1. I started out with an Egyptian Undead faction in my Lost World but it didn't feel right. http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/ After some good advice from @malefactus I decided to move the Eygptians to their own thread. The first one is my Mummy Captain. Now working on a Grenadier Undead Rhino Captive Carrier with a Bones Priestess as Crew
  2. Reaper mummy I wanted to theme as an ice mummy. Wizkids beholder zombie. Reaper wraith from Bones 4 that shall be known as “The Red Wraith” in my dnd game as a recurring villain.
  3. Hello everyone, here's a nightmarish model I completed last night. Dark Heaven Legends 02896, Aserlis the Liche King was sculpted by Werner Klocke. All painted with Reaper MSP paint.
  4. AMINI3D Mummy Sorceress, Mummy Jackal, Mummy Panther and Mummy Warrior. Printed on Elegoo Mars in resin. 5. Hello everyone, here are pictures of 14098, Khufu the Nefsokar Warlord sculpted by Bob Ridolfi. This Warlord model is one of my all time favorite miniature, the scorpions on the axe, headpiece and necklace are fabulous. The storyline behind this mini is also fantastic.
  6. So I finished the Undead Regiment. Background story.. the Vampire Queen lost a big battle, fled to a swamp/jungle area. Subdued the swampfolk and now faces a rebellion. Some swamp creatures follow her, others oppose her. Here is the full regiment. Mixed Manufacturers. Mixed types of Undead. I will post them separatly or in smaller groups for better pics of them all. I will try not to flood the forum, so today the regiment and the first solo/smaller groups. The rest will follow shortly. The Vampire Queens heraldry is red and purple so all the Undead have this colours somewhere. Al
  7. Another 3D print today, this time from Lost Kingdom Miniatures current (October 2020) Patreon release. The Canopic Sorcerer More info, pictures and awful puns below.
  8. The flickering glow of the torchlight illuminates the dusty, hieroglyphic-covered walls of the forgotten tomb. Moonglow clings to his hat as he carefully scans for signs of the hidden entrance. A small indentation betrays the location of a door in the stone wall. Carefully, the adventurer pushes his way through. The room is barren and dark, except for a single pillar of light shining down upon a small pedestal. On top sits a small box. Moonglow carefully crosses the chamber and approaches the box. He lifts the lid and peers inside. "Ah, there's my old m
  9. A Mummified Anubi Hero from Lost Kingdom Miniatures. Printed on my Elegoo Mars. Part of my Shifting Sands Project: WIP HERE: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79372-shifting-sands-glitterwolf-paints-egyptian-undead/
  10. I am really enjoying Rangers of Shadow Deep as a solo play experience. I am currently painting up the opponents and some rangers for the Across the Wastes adventure. These are all Reaper, about 50/50 Bones or metal. Lots of drybrushing again. The scorpions are just dark grey spray, washed in black, with drops of 'orc blood" from Green Stuff World used as venom. I also used some foam clay to make rocks for the scorpion bases.
  11. Most of this Early Modern Monster Hunter/Classic Monsters series I've been doing is based on late-Renaissance and early-modern Europe, with notes of high moors shrouded in cold mists; filthy cities with crooked narrow cobblestoned alleyways; high castles on remote crags, etc. But the world's a big place, and it's good to remember that the pulp authors that popularized the monster hunter as recurring character (particularly R. E. Howard and Manly Wade Wellman) had a soft spot for Africa in their stories. So here's Ogana, a hero straight out of a Charles Saunders story, with a great Don Chead
  12. Put your left hand in Put your left hand out Put your left hand in And shake it all about Do the hokey pokey and turn yourself about! That's what it's all about! Sigh. So I meant to get all these lovely Egyptian themed minis painted in October. In the end I only got the standard mummies done and the mummy warriors' bandages barely started. Looks like I already have my November painting challenge minis lined up. Completed pics of the rest hopefully next month.
  13. This is the Crypt Lord from Wargods of Aegyptus ( Crocodile Games). He's part of my Shifting Sands Project. WIP here: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79372-shifting-sands-glitterwolf-paints-egyptian-undead/&page=4 Omar was furious! His good for nothing son had been herding the goats and when he returned by the end of the afternoon one was missing! He hadn't even noticed it wandering off. After he had smacked his son around the head, he took him with him to search for the little goat. They had to be quick, it was gettin
  14. Presenting the Scarab Mummy, a minion for the Egyptian faction in the game Twisted, he's a mummy that's been redesigned to have a more pleasing beetle theme (which I guess technically makes him more of a Flesh Golem). Had a lot of fun with this one, I'm still pretty bad at painting gems but I think I'm getting better. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  15. The painting theme of the month has been chosen! The Undead of October will emerge from their (freshly painted) graves The miniatures have been selected… Here’s what's on the painting table:9 Bones Skeletons (from Bones 2)6 Undying (Death, minotaur, lizardman, elf, halfling, & dwarf skeletons from Bones 3)Bone Fiend (Bones 2)4 mummies (Bones 2)Hecklemeyer & Styx (25th Anniversary mini)Dust King & Tomb (Bones 3)Demi-Lich (Bones 2)3 Nefsokar mummies (Bones 1)26 (or 28 if you count the broken tomb and the tiny puppet) minis, in 31 days? Less if you count the vacation in the middle of

  17. Howdy, Kev! P.S. Who's your Mummy?
  18. Howdy, All Reaper this week... Kev! P.S. Do you have any idea how much embalming fluid stings?
  19. This guy was always intended to be toy box level painted. Basecoat, dry/damp brushing, and a light wash of Army painter mid-tone. But I actually really like the way he turned out.
  20. Bones 77145: Mummy Captain. Part of my Lost World Project. WIP Here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=111

  23. Hi guys! My friend and I stopped by for the paint and take at Reaper's booth at PAX Unplugged and painted our first minis. Any and all constructive criticism welcome, we did the best we could in the limited time we had at the table (45-50 minutes). We definitely wish we had more time, more paint choices, and maybe a couple more brushes, but it was great fun. I'll definitely be painting more in the near future. Without further ado here they are (mine in blue, friend's in red) We didn't really know what to do with the faces, and I was definitely having trouble figuring o
  24. So it's been forever and a day since I've painted a Reaper figure, and I've never painted a Chibiesque mini before. On Facebook though, my wife saw a painted version of this delightful little big headed mummy and told me how much she liked the figure so that got me to hunt it down and paint it for her. It was nice because being a face and rags, it really didn't take too long to do, I think from beginning of painting to end, not including the base was probably five hours. I went more green on his face than the greys I've seen in most of his renditions just for something a little bit differen
  25. As I said before, I finally have a camera (well, it's actually my wife's new smart phone) that can take reasonable pictures of miniatures. Now I just have to learn how to take good pictures (and learn how to paint ...). Here is the Bones Mummy Captain. As always, I'm aiming for tabletop standard as playing with the miniatures is the first goal. I should probably start doing more/better highlights (any other CC welcome).
