  1. Hey everyone, this is the fourth Oldhammer dwarf of my Slayer unit. It was sculpted by Aly Morrison. All painted with Reaper MSP Color, here's the list;
  2. Hello everyone, here's my third Dwarf Giant Slayer. This model was also sculpted by Aly Morrison. All painted with Reaper MSP Color, here's the list;
  3. Hey everyone, I completed another one Yesterday. Some more orange... on a completely different model. She reminded me of Red Sonja so I decided to paint her hair fiery red. This is 02759, Dena the Barbarian sculpted by Dennis Mize. The Gravestone of Protection 77539 was sculpted by Julie Guthrie and the Shrine is a 3d print by Aleda at Gothic Things.
  4. Hey everyone, here's my penultimate mischievous fellow. I swapped its head and weapon with those of other goblins. The original 77444, Goblin warrior models were was sculpted by Bobby Jackson.
  5. The mischievous horde is on its way! This is 77444, Goblin Warrior with greatsword sculpted by Bobby Jackson. That be a scimitar I'd say. The base is 20mm.
  6. Hey everyone, here's the third in the series of mischievous fellow I'm currently painting. This is the 77444, Goblin Warrior with halberd sculpted by Bobby Jackson.
  7. Hey everyone, here's the second of my mischievous goblinoid. This one is the 77445, Goblin skirmisher with sword and shield sculpted by Bobby Jackson.
  8. A soldier for my warband in my egyptian version of Frostgrave. Can't say I'm too happy with the way the NMM looks but I'm done with this model nonetheless.
  9. Hi all! How do you do? My latest painted character: This sorceress lady will be used someday in the future for games of Frostgrave. Here she is with the rest of her warband:
  10. Hey everyone, what's a tribe without a leader... Here's 77349, Goblin Leader sculpted by Ben Siens. I'm not sure about the poison on the blade, should I add more or change it for blood? Let me know what you think.
  11. Hey everyone, here's 03292, Almaran the Paladin sculpted by Bobby Jackson. This is the metal version, it's also available in Bones under SKU 77058 and chibi version sculpted by Gene Van Horne under SKU 77714.
  12. Hey everyone, it been some time since I posted. I managed to complete this one last night. 04006, Arik the "half-orc" barbarian sculpted by Bobby Jackson.
  13. I wasn't sure if I should post this in Show off or WIP, but I figured here and if you would please forgive the in progress parts in the subsequent post. Ron let me paint this lovely sculpt by Gene Van Horne. Actually, I think I might have begged to paint it and considered stealing it from his office if he refused. She'll be in the Greek Odyssey Expansion for Bones V. If by some miracle you have come to this forum and not heard of Bones V, it can be found here. Aaron Lovejoy was awesome and took some high definition photos of her after last Reapercon. I really love this sculpt, can't say that enough. She's got some fantastic detail, lots of good open space to work on blending or freehand, even a scenic base to play with stone effects. While I loved the original Yephima by Patrick Keith, and still use her in my classes, this one really screams warrior to me. I need to paint my bones version when I get it as Athena. I'll have to add a shield somewhere, though. Maybe convert the club to a spear. Decisions decisions. Anyway, feel free to ask questions. I'm happy to explain or help with anything! I'm going to post the WIP pictures I have in another post, so hopefully those will also be useful. Enjoy!
  14. Here is a model I wanted to paint for a long time. I decided to give it a twist by adding an artifact on its base. This is an 03655, Iron Cobra sculpted by Andrew Pieper. The Orb is from the 02652, Magic Treasures III and the base is a 40mm wide 74024 base.
  15. Hey everyone, here's a frogman from the 03146 set sculpted by Jason Wiebe. I like the tiki mask this one is using as a shield.
  16. I tried this techinque for a second time, I know I'm still not very good at it but I am happy with the result. ๐Ÿ™‚ Any constructive criticism or tips are very welcome! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Thanks for looking! ๐Ÿ˜„
  17. Hey everyone, here's an heavy armored fellow ready for adventure. 07011, Borin Ironbrow the Dwarf Adventurer was sculpted by Bobby Jackson. He was initialy part of the Dungeon Dwellers line. Hopefully, he will make the jump and eventually be integrated into the Bones USA line.
  18. Hello there, here is my latest Dark Dwarf. 44139, Dark Dwarf Cleaver was sculpted by Bobby Jackson. This is the Bones Black version. Have a good Friday.
  19. Hello everyone, now that the event is over, here are some more pictures of my entry in the 17th Quarterly contest. A big thanks to everybody that voted for me. This is a 77752, Female Minotaur sculpted by Jason Wiebe. It was a fun model to work on and I challenged myself painting object source lighting (OSL) on it. I made the fire with pieces of popsicle stick and Liquitex heavy gel medium.
  20. Hello everyone, this is the third and last of my 06132, Skeleton Swordsman sculpted by Kevin Williams. I added some group pictures too. Group picture with the 02126 Arachno-Assassin.
  21. Hello everyone, I completed this one last night. 02615, Female Bloodguard was sculpted by Dennis Mize. I removed the axe she was holding in her left hand and replaced it with a shield from a 14359 Crimson Knight.
  22. Hello everyone, something different this time. I just completed a Tabletop World Water Well. Like I mentioned in the WIP, my main goal was to add weathering effect on the well lid and wood. I painted the lid using the non metallic metal (nmm) technique and then added the verdigris effect. For the copper nmm I used 09030 Leather Brown, 09031 Tanned Leather, 29825 Tusk Ivory and 09039 Pure White. Then, for the verdigris I used a blend of 29848 Jungle Camo, 09294 Alien Goo and 09282 Maggot White. I also added rust effect on the metal parts as well as rust stains on the wood (below the nails mainly). I finally added shading 09255 Black Wash on some areas to give more contrast to the wooden beams and shingles. Although it doesnโ€™t really show much, I added water effect in the bucket. I may need to add an additional drop. I also added the vine growing alongside the beam on the opposite side of the crank wheel, moss between the shingles and various other plants and flowers.
  23. Hello everyone, I'm updating this post with more pictures I took of the Irontongue Duergar Squad I completed recently. The enlaged ones, side by side. From left to right on the first picture; 03883 Dark Dwarf Irontongue Priest, 03899 Dark Dwarf Smiter, 03898 Dark Dwarf Pounder, 03892 Dark Dwarf Striker. All four Dark Heaven Legends models were sculpted by Bobby Jackson.
  24. Hello everyone, here are pictures of the last Dark Dwarf I painted for my Duergar squad. I converted a 44109, Enlarged Dark Dwarf Smiter sculpted by Bobby Jackson to make it look more like a Striker. I changed the original hammer head for a 3D printed two sided meat tenderizer and added the eye patch. Thanks to Derek feedback, I really pushed myself on this one. I think I spent something like 3 or 4 hours on the beard only. It is standing on a 2 inches square base. The ball and chain are made of Milliput and a 3mm hobby chain. Your comments are welcome. Group pictures coming soon.
  25. Enlarge! Hello everyone, here are pictures of the 44109, Enlarged Dark Dwarf Smiter I completed last night. The size of this model allowed me to add more texture on the leather. I also added light effect on the face and the shield rivets. For those of you who may wonder, Dark Dwarves (Duergar) can once a day use their spell-like ability to enlarge themselves. This Bones Black model was sculpted by Bobby Jackson.
