  1. Some random conversions I threw together. Frank Buck, from Chronoscope, converted to a fantasy figure by adding some Boneyard pieces I picked up at ReaperCon. NOVA Female Trooper head swap. An extra Tara the Silent donated her head Attempts at some baby griffons using the falcon and cat from one of the Bones Familiar packs. I'd rather have a rainbowsculptor or Talespinner sculpt, but these will do for my D&D campaign.
  2. "Alien signals have been detected in the area. Stay sharp, men, they could be hiding anywhere!" "Be sure to check even if it seems an unlikely hiding place. And be careful where you point the BFG, Sargent." "Over here, sir! I've got one!" "Good job, men! That'll teach them!" Both the NOVA troop and Sarah Blitzer had conversion work. This is the third time I've painted Sarah.
  3. Some of you have probably seen my Tycho AFV for my Nova Corp figures, and the Rottweiler Grav Tank I'm working on for my IMEF figures. They've been quite fun to create. And now I've been going through my collection of other Reaper Chronoscope figures, and I've realized I've got a few other groups of figures that I could make similar sized units from. If I do that, it would be only fair if I gave them each a vehicle. Since it will be a little bit before I actually get around to any of these, I thought I would ask you all what sort of look you would envision for vehicles for these various fa
  4. Started these back in October, specifically the Sara Blitzer conversion. Was working on them at Reapercon, finished them during the Minivember challenge. Based and sprayed last night. I also completed one more of the Tisdale cousins, from the BoGW. They are ready for the game tonight. From left to right: 80024, 80049, 80014, 80019, 80021, 80010.
  5. I had an idea that I wanted to paint up my Nova Corp folks as black-clad security troops, but I also wanted to add color to the reflections, since most objects are not true black, and life is rarely all black and white. So I have two troopers that I painted up in blue and purple. So my questions are two-fold. Which of these colors works better as a representation of black-clad troops? Also, how can I improve the highlighting/coloration for the rest of these guys? Bear in mind, what you see in the pictures below is about the best I could pull together for brush control yesterday.
  6. We're running a sci-fi Savage Worlds campaign right now, so figured it was a good time to start painting up some of the moderns, especially for some NPCs. Since I have duplicates of a few of them, I did quite a few in a desert/marine/army type paint scheme (olive skin triad) and the other guys in a more police gray/blue scheme. The faces on Garvin Markus, Nova Corp Hero didn't turn out quite as well as I would have liked but since these are just baddies I moved on. I don't see these painted too often on the show-off, so hopefully this will help anyone else who had these on their plate. Thanks
  7. As mentioned in my other threads, running a modern campaign now as well as trying to hit a certain goal by the end of the year which means painting needs to pick up and time to get these modern minis done (how many years ago was Bones I released? let's not talk about that...) This mini was more fun than she looked unpainted. She has a quirky early 90s looking poof of hair poking up around her head piece reminiscent of Jean Grey from the X-Men cartoon series. Based on that I thought an odd color combo (red and purple) might be more fun. The camo on the gun was an after though as I was trying to
  8. In The Worlds In My Head, there exist two elemental races with a common creation myth and an undying enmity: The Nathi (hereafter referred to as the "Elemental Nathi") and the Silmn. Both humanoid, the Elemental Nathi body was a black light-eating metal and you felt rather than saw their features. The Silmn were creatures of exquisite beauty with bodies of crystalline flesh - appearing as normal humans made of translucent frosted glass. Centuries of war were, of course, inevitable as the races spread across the galaxy and finally met Humanity. There now exists a loose confederation of Hu
