Here are some harpies. Linked due to nudity. When possible, I’ll try to paint Metal along with Bones if I have the same mini in both media. I found these a little odd, with feathers on part of the wings but serpent scales on the thighs. So I went chromatic dragon colors. The feet/claws were based off some raptor pictures off the net. Also tried three different skin tones: African, tanned, and ruddy, with correspondingly ?appropriate hair colors? I gave two beach bases and one a rocky base. Enjoy. Vandorendra Demon by Reaper Miniatures (02633). This is a bit of an historical work. I actually painted this over 10 years ago, and rediscovered it whilst looking through one of my old online galleries. Being a Reaper mini and somthing I was very proud of at the time, I figured I would upload it here. It was one of the very last mini's I painted before selling off all my paints and and modelling supplies and quitting the hobby (I got back into it recently as a result of the Covid19 lockdown, and I cant for the life of me imagine what ever possessed me to stop). Anyway, I absolutely love this sculpt, as it reminds me of a D&D Marilith and I have a soft spot for iconic D&D beasties. A friend of mine recently had a birthday, and so I touched up an old mini I'd almost never used for a present: 03700, Tyrea Bronzelocks, a masterful and gorgeous sculpt by Ken White. You will notice some of the woad/tattoos are crappier than others as I've learned a bit more about brush control and properly thinning paints over the years. Both the mini and my friend are NSFW. Time to play with my new olive skin tones! I'll end up freehanding some tattoos on her eventually. For now she has eyes and a base coat. Smoothing some mold lines with resin was annoying. Future photos will have to be thru Imgur; this lady is fully nude. I put a finger in front of her naughty bits this time.

Had an extra one of these lying about, and decided to experiment with a limited palette. Here’s how she turned out: Front Back Main colors used were MSP Woodland Brown, Brilliant Green, Scholar Flesh, and Yellowed Bone (and it’s triad). Not completely happy with her skin tones, I tried everything up to Moth Green trying to get a light tone that still read as green. Wound up using one of the darkest greens I have, go figure. Shaded by gradually dropping the flesh tone until it was straight green, but it turned out to be a rather extreme color shift. I like how the base and tree trunk came out, however. The ground shade was achieved by throwing some blues and yellows together until they stopped being bad and then painting some gray on the rocks. All in all, I think it turned out all right for just messing around. Definitely something to practice in the future. Comments, critiques, and suggestions appreciated.

Wanted to try something different, so here is another oldie, Cleo the Weretigress, done up as a tiger lady: Front Back Another view Could have gone a few ways with this mini. There are parts of the sculpt which are clearly feline (face, tail, extremities) but most of the rest seems intended to be human form. This presented a dilemma, as I was unsure painting tiger all over skin-sculpted areas would produce the proper effect. On the other hand, painting those areas in skin tones would preclude the inclusion of tiger stripes. And I really wanted to paint some freehand tiger stripes, y’all. So I split the difference. It’s hard to tell from my awful pics (best available lighting, unfortunately), but I used the red hair triad for fur, basecoating with Carrot Top Red, Auburn Shadow for shadows, and slowly highlighting by layering with increasing amounts of Highlight Orange up to 100% For skin, I used Scholar Flesh. However, this color always seemed far too pale for my liking, so I mixed in a bit of Carrot Top. The result was a surprisingly neat pinkish tone that I will definitely find use for again somewhere. Her hair is Ginger Cookie with various brown highlights and shades, and white patches of fur are mostly Dragon White over Rainy Grey. This was an experiment with quite a few things outside my comfort zone, so I must ask: does the mid-transformation effect work or no? Are my colors way off? I’m not really satisfied with the color scheme on her face, what would have made it more tiger-like (and anywhere else)? Comments and critiques would be much appreciated.

Another older sculpt I wanted to knock out real quick, this was maybe three hours’ work (not counting stepping away to let paint dry, etc.). To be honest, it looked amazing when everything was just a basecoat, it’s the parts after that that throw me. Magically Distracted She sat on her favorite stool, having gotten mostly undressed and relaxed, gently swirling the goblet of red wine in her hand as she read through the grimore in her lap... closing her eyes she gently concentrated on the spell that was before her... suddenly the books piled around her lifted up in the air as if they had minds of their own and were caught in a small windstorm. She giggled to herself and took another long drink of the wine from her goblet and continued to study... --------------------- This was a really fun project that I started up in April of this year. My goal was to get her done in time for the 'eavier metal online contest (Facebook) and see if I could place or perhaps get a random draw. I ended up uploading her about 10 minutes late, so I have no idea at the time of doing this post if she will be considered in the contest or if she will be disqualified. Either way, I had fun, I had tons of amazing feedback during the WIP and a lot of people cheering me on to get it finished. I present to you "Magically Distracted" a NSFW Kingdom Death figure in the 54mm scale, she is a limited edition resin release. Please feel free to give your comments and critiques. I'm going to check and see if I am allowed to bring a nude figure to ReaperCon this year for entry into their painters contest or not. If not, she'll stay home as I do have plenty of other things to enter as well. A few firsts on this one, I did some elaborate tattoos, magical floating books, writing in books in freehand, a completely nude figure, texturing pattern, Venus dimples, and last but not least sheer stockings (which were a lot of fun and a lot of work!). Starting this one up as it now has my attention due to a contest on bookfarce by the 'eavier metal facebook group. This is Distracted by Kingdom Death, she's a 54mm 1st run collector's edition resin miniature that I couldn't pass up a while back when she was released for a very limited time. This figure is completely nude so she is definitely NSFW and I'll make sure to link any pics that would violate forum rules. Let's start off with the pic I can show! Time for the final pics to be posted here (those that I can anyhow). This is Queen Shaernagathu - I came up with this name as it's the 3 parts of the figure that I kit-bashed together to form this figure. The body of Queen Shaerileth, a tentacle from the well of doom and the snake bottom half from I don't know which snake or creature or even if it was a reaper figure, I found all 3 parts in the melt bin during ReaperCon 2016. I was going to hold off posting and enter her into the 2017 Massive Voodoo water base challenge, but it was pointed out to met that she doesn't qualify due to a full figure being in the scene, the challenge is for the base to be the star with possibly a couple small plants/animals, but no full figures. Anyhow, it was a super fun project and very challenging. I did a lot of new things with it and learned a lot during the process. I had great feedback from others on the forum as well. While at ReaperCon 2016, I hit up the melt bin and found 3 distinctly different parts of 3 different figures. The first one was torso of 03465: Shaerileth, Spider Demoness, the second was a snake's tail (not sure from what or even if it's Reaper let me know if you know what it is!) and the third looks like it's a tentacle from the 02634: Well of Doom. I have located my camera! But, no lightbox, so the lighting is fairly harsh. Anyway, after packing up for the move, moving, unpacking, and then kinda sorta finding a place to paint I decided to get back into the swing of things with a quick tabletop mini. I was wanting to take another shot at the bronze skin triad, but I'm about out of minis that show a lot of skin. Fortunately I still had one half naked barbarian left from the kickstarter. I have to say, this is the worst I've done on a face in quite a while but I just wasn't interested in smoothing things out and redoing the eyes. My copy had a "Bones nose" but I assume in metal there is more definition. 1 2

A friend and I made some Star Wars (Sun Battles) comedy videos on YouTube using action figures. I build the sets myself. If you have a good sense of humor check it out. Ben is a cranky old man who lives with Luke the man child in his desert home. Vader connects with this son once in a while to Ben's annoyance. The next door neighbor, Keith, is a slob and literally a pig. (Gamorrean) On the flip side, Han, Chewy, and Leia all live together on the Falcon which is broken down in a swamp. Leia is fed up with her husband and his freeloading friend. Han "skillfully" avoids that whole confrontation and does Han stuff. And Lando! There's much more involved but you just have to watch. It's funny. I promise. I can't seem to put a link here, but you can find my page by simply searching Werewolvians. Which is my name here. That link button up there just freezes my computer.
