  1. Presenting a Chain Lord, the head of the Slaver Guild set for the game Necromunda from Games Workshop. Had my eye on the Necromunda range for awhile, but bad past experiences with Forgeworld resin put me off (Still the triangles haunt me!), the stuff's not too bad now, still a big pain in the bum to clean up though! Anyways, really pleased with how this guy painted up, just got the rest of the gang to do now. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  2. Hi everyone, it is time for another 3d printable terrain story from the wasteland! Phone Home finally launched a few minutes ago and this time we tell a story about a wasteland radio station in a restricted area, where an alien UFO has crashed close by. And the body examination already begins in the secret vault 51. Check it out and grab one of the 48h early bird slots! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pharaohsworkshop/phone-home-wasteland-radio-station-and-restricted-area?ref=19nypu
  3. Great fit for all post-apo games and TTRPG and already funded. Check it out! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pharaohsworkshop/wasteland-container-house-2-pay-what-you-want?ref=dkidw3
  4. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pharaohsworkshop/wasteland-container-house-1-pay-what-you-want?ref=6dz1m2 Great fit for all post-apo games and TTRPG and already funded. Check it out!
  5. It's been 6 years since I last played a sci-fi table top game in 28mm. Wondering what is out there BESIDES 40k these days? What are you playing and/or what do you recommend? My favorite in the past were 40k 2e and Necromunda. I prefer more skirmish level, and capable of handling multiple players/sides.
  6. I put a ton (80+ hours) of time into these guys for my best friend's Christmas present. There's some more detailed pics on my Instagram feed, same name as mine is here. Close up of the boss's hammer, plus the special case I did.
  7. I have built a massive power plant terrain piece for use in various science fiction wargames such as 40K, Shadowar Armageddon, Necromunda, Rogue Stars, etc. I used a good portion of three Pegasus Hobbies 4909 - Power Plant Construction Set. This kit has a ridiculous number of parts that can be assembled in a huge number of variations almost as easily as Lego. I have a large number of pipes left over but no more generators and wall panels. I do have some floor panels left over and can remove the generators and stand them on those if I need freestanding smaller pieces or more room in the main piece. Indeed, with a bit of effort I could disassemble the entire thing and reassemble it differently (though I don't see that happening). I intend to mount this to a piece of thin MDF for ease of transport. May eventually paint it but frankly it looks pretty good as it is. Here are photos of the plant from above and from each side. Also included are two of the generators popped out and placed on extra floor panels and a shot of one of them by itself.
  8. Ok so a little background, a friend of mine had this mini laying around for many years. He had inherited it from a friend many years ago and it had been primed, sort of. It was covered in a really nasty thick white paint that covered much of the detail. He asked me if I would paint it and I said sure. I tried all of the usual stuff to remove the paint with little success then resorted to oven cleaner which worked but I don't recommend it as the fumes are nasty. So here she is hope you like her.
  9. Finished this guy the other day. I am happy with how the face turned out.:
  10. Got this in a trade. The modifications are done by a friend. I completed the paint job.: Barrel was drilled after the pics were taken. :)
  11. This is a set of minis I did for a Yaktribe thing. The girl is from Copplestone Castings. Babes with Guns. The male is a ganger from Moonraker miniatures. And the dog is a Horror Hound from the Harwood Hobbies Sinbad line.: Closeups: The pipes in the background are made from some plastic tubes from the local hobby store.
  12. Finished this fellow last Thursday during a GW painting event: Update: Made this fellow a sort of display base, so he can adorn my shelf in all his splendor. :P
  13. Okay, so I got a bunch of Moonrakers almost free minis. Didn't expect much, but these are really not getting the credit they are due on the website images. Here they are: It's time to slap some paint on them, and I sort of want these fellows to be more colourful than my existing gangs. Here are some hair color testing on the first few lucky ones.:
  14. Finished this guy a while ago. He is from the Gears of War board game, but will be used as a hired gun in our Necromunda campaigns.
  15. This is another Neromunda ganger. I really liked this miniature. It was fun to paint. A lot more detailed than I thought it would be when I ordered. She still needs to be based, but I am out of basing materials for my sci-fi table, and Norway is frozen over for the moment. After seeing these pics, I need to drill the gun, too.
  16. This lady is going to be a part of different skirmish game warbands. Mainly Necromunda and Mordheim. The little mushrooms/plants on the base are made of dried grape wines.
  17. I tried to come up with something witty to say for this ol'fellow, but I gave up. Same composition as the others, and magnetized to allow weapon swaps.: Chaos marine weapons (meltagun and chainsword, flagellant head, techno priest body. Skull on the base is from an old warhammer skeleton, along with some sprue. Edit: I noticed I forgot to drill the weapon.. got to do that asap. :)
  18. Second last ganger, for use in Necromunda, and quite possibly the last to be featured here. :) Noticed some errors when uploading the pics as normal, so I'll need to do some touch ups. The pip-boy thingie needs something nice, too. Anyway, this is made up of some random bits and a Warhammer flagellant. He is wielding a Hot-Shot Lasgun. Will be a lot of fun to use these on the field of battle.
  19. Finished this just now. No light for the photo box, so this was taken on the game-board: Edit: Touched up, and proper photo. Flagellant head, techno priest body, and I believe.. the weapon was made from a random chainsword, and a techno priest staff. 'Blind Desperado.'
  20. Long time, no see. This fellow has been done for a while, but had no base. Also made up from flagellants and techno priests. The flamer, and backpack are probably taken from some chaos marine. The fire 'bit' is straw from an ear-pin.: "Speak no evil. (And burn the heretics, of course!)"
  21. Okay, now I am lost with regards to what weapon bits have been used, but body, and one arm, is flagellant, Warhammer fantasy. Head and one arm are from Techno priests, 40k. Cape with pocket and grenade is from imperial guardsmen, 40k. A space marine hand.. Noticed a few errors and nitpicks here and there when taking the pictures, but for the tabletop; I think it will do fine. Nothing I can't brush up on later. :) As the others, he's been painted with single colors, then washed with a darker version of said color. "Where we are going, we need no eyes to see.."
  22. Second character pieced together from the bits pile. Flagellants and techno priest parts. Sword.. might be lizard men bit. Not happy with the osl here, but it's for the tabletop, so I might just flesh it out later. :)
  23. This fellow has been pieced together by random bits in the bits pile. Body is a techno priest from Warhammer 40k. Head is from the flagellant pack for Warhammer Fantasy. I believe the weapon is from a Chaos Marine. Cloak, I don't know. Lizard men regiment maybe? Skull pile is from Gorgotha, Warzone accessories.
  24. Painted for the tabletop, this will be the leader of my Redemtionists in Necromunda. For the uninitiated; They are basically religious fanatics, who believe all sinners must burn away their sins. And anyone who isn't a redemtionist is a sinner. They go around burning anything and anyone they think might be impure. And here is a closeup of his pretty face. I love this miniature. :D
