  1. Ase Arvidson from Red Box Games. Another miniature that had to suffer before I've settled (kind of) for a sealing method. Ase was a quick, and rather painless, paintjob. I have decided to try and speed up things (since I'm at the time of writing 229 finished miniatures short of having painted all my RBG minis....). This means having to settle for less (one sacrifice is way less time trying to paint eyes on small minis), but with how Ase turned out I'm quite OK with that. The original sculpt had a rather ugly arrow running down the leg, which I cut away and replaced with part of a metal paper clip. I'm not a sculpter so that's the best I could manage (I have since though about using needles but the paper clips are way cheaper :D).
  2. So I did not get these guys during the kickstarter, thinking that the guys with the shields would be more appropriate for Frostgrave, as I did NOT have the rule book at the time.... OOPS.... So I got them later, when I found out that the Njorn Hirdmen were a LOT more expensive! Another batch of things primed to start base coating at paint day tomorrow! These guys come in 4 parts, heads, bodies, right and left hands / weapons. Kind of fiddly assembly, and some green stuff gap filling required..... Thanks for looking!
  3. Dagmar of the Shield of Red Box Games. A miniature I painted a few months ago but forgot to post.
  4. Vilhanna the Victorious from Red Box Games (currently available through Hasslefree Miniatures as Hanna of Vil). A quickie to improve my 2016 painted stats :) And appreantly I'm still not confident enough to try some free hand on a shield.
  5. This is Rollo the Fellhanded from Red Box Games. I notice now that the pictures contain quite alot of white dots, that's because I did a poor job with the spray on matt varnish. It usually looks much better but on this figure I failed to get a even spray :/ Also the face got abit to much so I had to sort of fix it. It wasn't a master piece before but I do think it looked abit better. But varnishing mistakes aside I'm fairly happy with how he turned out.
  6. Woldvagner the Elder from Red Box Games. I have stared to delve into my RBG collection. I'm moderately happy with how this figure turned out. I really need to work on the eyes for future RBG miniatures. I feel that something might be missing but I can't put my finger on it.
  7. My favorite mini of the year so far, maybe: Tre Manor's Tradkarl the Wanderer, from his Red Box Games line. Just a totally fantastic mini, wish I could've done it greater justice. Was pretty happy with the animal-skin jacket (and pants) and the fur trim. Made the log of a Bones sprue and was stupid pleased with myself. Snow on it didn't turn out like I'd hoped, though. Thanks for looking!
  8. Ullr the Red, sculpted by Tre Manor. Red Box Games. Njorn faction, if I'm not misremembering. One of my favorite minis pretty much evar. Had a ton of fun with him, was really happy how he turned out. Thanks for looking. Suggestions and so on welcome.
  9. I've finally been able to make a small dent on my pile of unpainted Red Box Games miniatures. RGB are by far my favorites but at the same time I'm kind of intimidated by the detail so when it comes time to paint I pick up a miniature from another brand. But once in a while I do finish one, and yesterday was one of those times. I finished the miniature Ragnar of Utherby and I'm quite pleased with the result.
