I have wanted to try writing a WIP for awhile now and I have decided that the circumstances of today might make for an interesting one. Last year I painted six of the Reaper Bones Telephone Box (80037) to look like Doctor Who's Tardis for my family and friends who are fans of the show. This year I want to paint up the Angels of Sorrow as the weeping angels to go with it. The trick of it is that one of the individuals who is getting them as a gift now lives in my basement. This also happens to be the location of my painting desk. So I have to try and complete this project when he is not around. I have a three day weekend and thought that it should be plenty of time, but it just so happens that it was his weekend off. So that leaves me with today. So while he is at work I will have to prep and paint 12 angels of sorrow. I like to think of this as a reverse goblin challenge. Instead of one large model in 7 days with a tiny brush, I am going to do 12 small models in one day with a least one large brush. I started this morning at 8 when he left for work. So far the models have been scrubbed and are sitting and drying while I write this post. Once I get this posted, I will start my favorite part of the process and start hunting for mold lines. It took me a bit longer to than I expected to figure out how to get pictures on here then I was expecting. Oh well. Off to find some mold lines.

I'd posted about this a few days ago, so I thought I'd follow up here. Once a year, I spend a month attempting to complete (at least) one miniature a day. This usually happens in May, but I had to postpone it for school this year. I say complete, because most of the minis have already been started, but due to other projects, life, or being distracted by shiny objects, they were left incomplete. This year I'm also doing all GW minis, but I'll probably be throwing in a few Reaper guys in here, since I'm painting up my D&D party as well. This is the update calendar. It'll (ideally) have something new each day. * asterisks note miniature that were not completed before the end of the challenge. Here's my first miniature, a Blood Bowl Kroxigor I received almost a decade ago and never had an excuse to paint. You might notice I gave him a Seahawks inspired scheme (can't help it, I'm from the Northwest), I think it fits. Hope you enjoy. ~Muninn

This is my diorama entry for the Spaceship Superstar Painting Challenge. I wanted to do something that was pure Pulp, simple and quick. The bots are from Counterblast, are 18mm and were sculpted by Patrick Keith. The spaceship is from Hydra, is 25mm and was sculpted by Steve Meli. The base is a one inch square plinth from the hobby shop, which I simply painted black. Since I made the switch from Fantasy to Moderns and Pulp, I've never been happier as a painter. In August I finished about 18 figures, never got frustrated and found more joy in this hobby than ever before. Thank you for looking.
