  1. Dire Wolves are the tradition pets for AD&D Hill Giants, so I bought this fine fellow to replace the smilodon that came with my Hill Giant Hunter. I always use reference pictures when painting real creatures, and this looks a bit like a real black wolf, so I'm quite happy. There are a lot more colours and steps in this chaps fur than on any of the accompanying giants, though I don't know if it shows. The joy of Bonesium means that I could easily cut off his base and glue him directly to this piece of actual granite. I recommend doing this before ANY paint is applied to either surface, to get the best bond. Else you often pull the paint off the rock and have to re-glue it, in my experience.
  2. I bought this wonderful bust of a Boxer Dog a while ago, I immediately knew I would paint it up as my Boxer Brutus. So here we go.
  3. As a little present for my youngest stepdaughter I painted this Zombicide Survivor Dog as our Boxer Brutus. Nothing too fancy. But he looks like the real thing just enough to convince people. No Boxers were harmed in the process.
  4. As I wanted to paint something smaller between all the busts I started on this Zombicide miniature. My youngest stepdaughter asked me for amini of a dog painted like our pet Boxer Brutus. I put him on a nice street piece ( Thx to the EU Goodwill Box). Here is the star of the show. Brutus. Primed and ready to go.
  5. Since my account crash I've posted my work again, I had to make new pics from this one. When I met my girlfriend I had Odin, A Boxer Dog. ( I always have Boxers, their playful, clownesc behaviour appeals to me. Real family dogs but make no mistake they protect their family). Well her daughters ( now my stephdaughters, I feel like they are my own) liked him very much. Especially the youngest who was like 9 at the time, Odin was 8. He jumped through hoops for her, searched for perfum ridden tissues she hid in the garden. They were big friends. The oldest too, but she had the closest connection. So I painted up Garr as Odin, cut the tail. Even the shield got a camo scheme, cause Odin wore gear like that sometimes. she loved is and it is still in her room. Then came 2011, a bad year. First my father died. So sad. some 4 months later Odin hid in the garden. Wouldn't eat or play. Now when a boxer does that, you're too late. They are very tough guys and almost never show pain, when they do it is serious and when they hide they are almost done for. So the vet diagnosed a belly full of cancer. I took him home, let the girls say goodbye and then that night we let him go. The youngest still owns his collar and photo, even though we have a new Boxer since 2013 ( Brutus, this time a white one with a big brown/black spot on the left side of his head. This time the oldest has the closest connection, he sleeps on her on the couch like a big baby). So as a tribute to Odin and the love humans and dogs can feel for each other I give you ODIN. No one can take away the friendship we shared.
