As you may know, I came from another place some time ago during my travels. I'm a wild mage, planes traveler, tavern owner, demiplane creator, and member of the Scroll of the Month Club. I have journeyed through many planes of existence in my 3154 years, and have seen many wondrous things! I have known vampyres, gods, demons and faeries, and have met many more interesting people since coming here! I am single, enjoy casting new spells, creating magic items, shapechanging, long walks on the Astral Plane, and.....*shuffles through the loose pages in his hands*....whoops, that's my singles ad. *tosses pages over his shoulder, walks along vast rows of books and scrolls* Well, since I'm here, I am a vast repository of knowledge and invite you to take advantage of all the research that this epic-level mage has done. Alright, boys and girls! Due to some acquisitions during Christmas, I've come into possession of some older figures. While I could probably slog through all the internets to figure out what they are, I believe it to be far faster to harness your collective smartiness to ID them: Here are the figures in question: What we have here is a 1979 Ral Partha, one unknown, and one 1984 Grenadier. I have absolute faith that the lot of you will be able to identify them. Feel free to ask questions about them if it'll help you. Time starts....*clicks stopwatch*....Now.

Where My Mind Wanders (thanks to knarthex for the title inspiration): WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/72333-hey-somebody-get-after-that-brain-77027-reaper-mind-eater-wip/ This was actually fun to work on, I learned a lot from doing it (highlighting was not one of those things). I was going to leave it as is, but Guindyloo suggested that I put roller skates on him. As awesome of an idea as that is, that requires Green Stuff (which I have) and skill using Green Stuff (which I don't have), but it did put it in my head that the Mind Eater should be doing something dynamic instead of just standing there. Since it's larger than what an intellect devourer is and won't be used as a tabletop figure, I decided to use a larger base to give myself more room to play. I learned that I have some pretty light brush control when I put my mind to it, and got some xenomorphic help with learning how to do feathering for the legs. So here you have the Mind Eater running like a deer in the woods, without a care in the world! I wanted to put in some whimsy into the piece, since it gives a contrast to the horrific aberration that the figure is supposed to be. Hope you enjoy!

So somehow I've gotten roped into this Hangout of the Month piece, possibly because I may have been the first one to mention that I have this figure and it just snowballed from there. Thanks to knarthex for getting all of this started. This is the first metal figure that I'll have ever done, so we'll see how it goes. Here he is in all of his shininess. This thing has a heck of a lot of fiddly bits to it, he's going to be a challenge. But on to getting it prepped: .....And this happened. I had tried using Duplicolor Sandable Primer on it, but it couldn't quite get into the crevices (and there's a lot of them). So it got an overnight bath in Simple Green, and when I woke up, it was all rusted. I'm not sure what happened, there must have been a chemical reaction that corroded it. .........Ha ha, I jest. Since I has a sample of Stynylrez Primer from my Reapercon bag, I decided to test it out to see how it was, and it just happens to be red. I found that it covered things quite nice, it's definitely something I'll use again once I find some that's a more neutral colour. I took a page from Buglips' book ( I know, you're thinking that goblins aren't literate. But they use the pages for toilet paper. And that's only when they want to feel fancy) and made a wash from Warpaints Black. The ratio was 1 part Warpaints Black/6 parts water/1 part flow improver/2 parts stank. It brought up even more little details on the figure that I hadn't even noticed before, there's a lot of cool things about this one, even if painting them will kills me. I realize that I don't even have a real plan to paint this thing, so I'm just winging it and researching various methods of accomplishing what I have in mind. I haven't had much time to do much painting right now, hopefully after tomorrow I'll be freed up a bit more.

Gadzooks!!!! I'm actually painting something again. Here's the bad boy I've chosen this time around: I actually have a colour scheme in mind after researching other people's work on this one, and have adjusted it according to my own whims. A quick slather of Reaper Brown Liner as a primer. And here we have a couple of layers of P3 Sanguine Highlight to bring some proper base colour, might put have to touch up a couple spots. After this: drybrushing!

Finally I'm done! Had started this earlier this year, but got a bit delayed by the Sir Forscale competition. I blame/thank ReaperBryan for getting me involved in it, it was a lot of fun and I learned a lot about what I was able to do. After that was the busy Hallowe'en season, and since then there's been some personal issues preventing me. But I managed to buckle down and got it done, so I'm happy with that. All in all, I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome. While I wish I had more time and patience to work on the bones themselves, I just wanted it done. I learned a lot through the experiments I put this one through, and on the last day I even started using a homemade wet palette. Quite pleased with it, I'll be using it a lot more. When I saw the dynamic pose of the skeleton I thought it was too good not to use it in some way, hence the stepping over the log. Not sure if I'll start on another DDM miniature that I have ready, or start on some of my Bones backlog. Time will tell, I suppose. Hope you enjoy it all!

This one had stretched my meager skills to the limit, but I managed to finally complete it. A construct specially created to protect the Papal Realms from eldritch horrors, he is the shepherd of Colours Out of Space. You could say that he's their................designated drover. To you, my friends, I unveil my creation!: His shield is adorned with the Grinning Lizard, crest of Pezler the Polychromatic, representing him no matter where he goes ( and to advertise the Grinning Lizard Tavern; Tuesdays are half off Polychromatic Fizzys!). Below that to represent the SpacePope he serves is the Sacred Hat, whose very presence has the power to make people intone the mystical words, "Hey, Bryan's here!" Protected by the Tabard of the Tumbling Cosmos, he goes out in search of threats to the integrity of the spectrum, without which all paint would have no colour, making our hobby pretty darn dull. He smites foes with a sword created from the carapace of the Giant Iridescent Killer Rainbow Beetle (Arcus pluvius popsiclus), bringing new colour to the villains of the realms ( the colour he usually makes them is 'dead'). His eyes watch over the spectra both seen and unseen, keeping you all safe from those who would rob your paints of all colour( or just rob your paints; I'm looking at you, Buglips). To enhance his powers, he has been suffused with the essences of several forumites to give him their strengths: the purple boots of OneBoot, for her stompy powers against the tiny eldritch horrors (but how can they be two boots when her name is Oneboot, you ask? OneBoot2=OneBoot. Simple polychromathemagics.); Guindyloo Blurple among the speckles for her face-huggy abilities; tangerine for Buglips, Emperor of Mooning, he who actually bleeds paint; Blood for the Blood God paint on the sword gems for ub3r_n3rd, he who helps bring the smackdown; And the Grinning Lizard, who was created long ago from modifying a sketch of a frog, which seems appropriate for Froggy the Great. I had a blast creating this figure for the contest, and it certainly put my meager skills to the test. I have enjoyed a year on the forums, and I want to thank everyone who encouraged me to keep doing this. I'm afraid I couldn't get the last updates for my WIP, since I wanted to make sure that I finished in time. There's a lot of different paints added since the last update, but I don't think it's worth mentioning them unless someone asks. I did, however, add eyes for him using a touch of interference blue in each socket. I think that Sir Hue is the only Forscale that actually has eyes. PM and email has been sent to ReaperBryan, so it's all good now. Will do some touching up here and there before he gets shipped out, but he will join his brethren soon enough. The Sir Hue will remain vigilant over you all, to keep your tones, tints and shades safe. He is always watching.............
