After some interesting plumbing adventures the family and I are out of the house for the next couple weeks while repairs are made. Knowing that I'd need something to do in the evenings I had to make a tough call. I could gather up my painting supplies or I could grab one box, a knife, glue, and clippers. I obviously chose the easier route. So during our little forced vacation I'll be assembling the Robotech RPG Tactics starter box and giving you my thoughts on it. Not that I think anyone particularly wants to hear my thoughts on it, but if I'm going to build all this I'm going to talk about it

After a while of not posting any painted pieces I present to you my pledge from Stonehaven Adventurers 2018. They have been painted using a limited palett of: titanium buff, titanium white, prussian blue, red oxide, burnt umber, raw umber and yellow ochre. They were fun to paint even if some of them are tinny. My favourite fo the bunch is the thief, I am not sure if you can see it from the photos but the base looks like water without using water effect (modelling paste and a wash of prussian blue + yellow ochre). Front: Back: The Side: Close ups:

So one of my November goals was to work on (or even finish) the DDS 2014 tower ruins .. If you look at the WIP thread, you'll see that it took me a LOOONG time to get this done finally.. I'm not completely satisfied with the way the treasure came out, and learned a lot from applying the sand without painting the base Bonesium first, but over all, I'm fairly happy with it...

@Clearman, asked me in my High elf hero thread how much was freehand. That made me think I should show off my russians that I freehanded some shields on. Did these about 10 years ago and hadn't really try anything like it since. Still have a ton of these guys to paint and do some every once in awhile. Most of them get decals from Little Big Man Studios on their shields. Some of them have been shown off before but I don't remember which ones. Some day I'll get around to upgrading their bases. These are my pics for best freehand. The first spearman in the last pic is one of my all time favourite

So I'm finally getting around to posting my Reapercon contest entries. RBG Kyrie Brighhelm actually got me a silver. The Freeblades Enchantress I painted at Reapercon in about 2 hours iirc. I got the idea for the diorama from the filter on the forums, it's titled Kitten You Up.
