  1. Sangrariah - Vampire Ringleader from Raging Heroes Dark Carneval Set. 3D Printed on Elegoo Mars with Elegoo Grey Resin. WIP : https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-night-by-glitterwolf/ When his wife passed away, Baron von Leeresgehirn tried to raise his son by himself as good as he could. The young boy did well. Both villagers and nobles liked young Alaric, they had pity on his father though, the poor man could never forget his late wife, never remarried and never even longed for any woman. Years went by and Alaric was about to come of age. To celebrate, a huge feast was prepared and Alaric himself decided to take some friends with him on a hunting trip to provide meat for the feast. They rode into the woods, further and further, the Sun went down and they made camp. Sitting around the fire the friends drank, ate and made jokes, when suddenly a a loud scream was heard. Alarmed the men took up their swords and ran towards the direction the scream came from, another scream was heard and then nothing... They found an old abandoned hunter's hut, carefully they walked to the door, one of the men kicked it open. Holding a torch Alaric entered the hut, the scene before him sent a cold chill down his spine. A beautiful young woman sat on the floor, her back leaning against the wall, she was covered in blood, two dead men laid beside her, also drenched in blood. The poor girl looked at Alaric and whispered "help me" before she fainted. Alaric and his men took the girl to his father's Castle, no doubt those men were bandits ready to ravage her, surely they had gotten into a fight who got first turn and when the one killed the other the poor girl had taken her chance and plunged a dagger in the other bandit's throat. So brave and yet so fragile and beautiful, Alaric thought. For a few days the young woman rested in a spare room, Alaric had been visiting her every evening to see how she was doing and it seemed they liked each other. Alaric's father was proud of his son, and he figured the girl must be of noble birth given her dress she was found in. He hoped she would recover soon enough, he was a tad worried about Alaric, though, the boy seemed to look paler every day and he didn't even eat and drink anymore. Every night he was at the girl's side, oh to be young and in love again, the Baron thought. He had learned her name, Sangrariah, she would make a nice bride for Alaric if things went on as they seemed, the Baron thought. It would be nice to have a woman around the house again. That night the Baron was woken up by a sound, he looked up and saw Alaric and Sangrariah standing besides his bed. Oh, good! He said, you seem to be better! But ehh, why are you in my room? Sangrariah insisted to thank you for your hospitality Father, Alaric spoke in a trembling voice, the boy looked paler than ever and had he cut himself shaving? The Baron sat upright now in his bed when the young woman approached him, please My Lord, let me thank you with a kiss. Before he could resist the young woman embraced him, he felt a sharp pain in his neck, the poor inexperienced girl must have bitten him, where his last thoughts as a mortal man. From that night on, the Barony was ruled in a different way.
  2. Hello again. Some time ago, during a game of Bolt Action, one of my friends told us about a campaign he was planning, focused on a fantasy setting using the rules of Frostgrave. As he and some other friends were working on a SciFi setting simultaneously, I thought of the possibility of creating an army that fits both settings – Fantasy and Sci Fi. But what kind of figures would be able to fit into my setting? Looking around, I got aware of the Blood Vestals by Raging Heroes. They seem to be perfect for my army and so I acquired a group of them and also got me some bases with ruins – currently I don’t have got the time to make them all by myself. There is only one problem – they are partially clothed … RATED N for NUDITY RATED N for NUDITY II RATED N for NUDITY III So … though a young woman in all her natural beauty might be quite a sight for sore eyes, I figured them to be a bit unfit for my idea. I mean - we are talking about Frostgrave. Frost. Cold. Quite Cold. Who would risk to get a cold by running around naturally dressed? So – best way for me to work with them might be to unnude them. I looked around a bit further, but couldn't figure a way to make the figures look like I wanted them to look like. To be honest - I don't even have an idea what I want to do. Bravo, Monsieur. You're quite something. Then by chance, I stumbled over the at concepts of NieR: Automata, which is a sequel to the critically acclaimed game NieR and includes some pretty artwork and figures. I already know the game, especially for the "AB" Diskussion regarding the clothing of main character 2b, but still never really thought about the design. Hm. Not bad. I somehow like the lolita concept. But it is quite modern, so there should be a change in design to make it more fantasyesque. Also having been a fan of the Valkyria Chronicles franchise since I came to know it (some 6 years ago or so), I figured that the clothes of Selvaria and Aliasse from the franchise would make a good addition. Sexy Lolita clothes, white and blue-white hair, red eyes and dark grey and golden colors? I am currently thinking about how to bring all those concepts together – but I am sure that the outcome will be great :-D Haha. If anyone has an idea on how to put all that stuff together, I'd be thankful :-D For the skin I took a picture from the internet, which I really liked: Quite a thought. I checked my bits box and found a fantasy figure I will use as the central figure for my army – the Crimson Empress or Witch or whatever. She will be the figure on which I test how the colors work together. Looking forward to seeing her finished … Well then - Let's start and see where this ends.
  3. Painted as a "fun" mini in between Warmahordes / Secret Santa Projects A dark elf from Raging Heroes, painted up in my Legion of Everblight colors. I tried to put flames on her sword (there's something "wreathing" her sword, but I'm not sure what it is), but I don't think it came off very well. Her clothes are super-silly, just like my Secret Sophie project, so I'll be glad to paint some more reasonably clothed guys soon. Let's review what she's wearing: one armored boot.one armored shoe + metal bits stuck to her leg. metal bikini bottom with loincloth. metal bikini top that is apparently glued to her breasts, with chains hanging below it. high metal collar. one winged metal pauldron. metal headdress with hair in weird beehive supporting a headband of skull, and her cape. yep, her cape is attached to her HEAD, not her SHOULDERS. just in case there was any semblance of reasonableness. also, she's holding a human heart. As far as the mini, she's made out of the new Raging Heroes resin, which required care to get it off the sprue. The resin felt greasy, but I washed it with soap and the primer went on fine. The resin is pretty sturdy - I didn't feel like the sword was going to break off at any point.
  4. I painted Jaheda as part of my Memorial Day paint binge, but wasn't entirely happy with how she turned out. This afternoon I put two more hours into her, cleaning up details, adding another layer of highlights and re-doing her face. I think she looks better now.
  5. My other Raging Heroes mini I mentioned in my other thread is now finished ^^ She represents another of my 40K RP characters (who is currently unnamed which is awkward as its slowly getting closer to the point where she's gonna turn up xD) who is a Inquisition Storm Trooper. I opted for the usual red fatigues, black armour colour scheme that the Inquisition troops usually have I based her to match the Commissar, using a Basicks trench 40mm base My photos still arent amazing, but I think theyre getting better at least xD
  6. Finally getting time to paint again, and not only that, I actually finished something properly with a base for once (yay) Anyway... I picked up a couple of the Raging Heroes minis the other week, to act as representations of yet more RP characters, and after a while of going back and forth between which of the their three Commissars to buy, I eventually settled on Ivanka as the best mini for my character Eskana I decided on a mix of red purple and gold for her coat, pretty much on the basis it looked fancy, and somewhat Russian to match the characters background She also came with 2 arm options, the saber she's holding, and a larger gun blade thing that wouldn't look amiss in Final Fantasy. I chose the saber as it looked more appropriate The back of the coat took the longest time to do overall, despite all the detail being raised, as it was all very fine. I also decided to put her initials in gold on the black band on the sleeve, but that isn't very clear in the pic ^^; For her boltgun, I ended up giving the muzzle a bit of heat burn. I bought a purple airbrsuh laquer ages ago for a different project, but I have a lot left, so I applied some to the muzzle with a brush (then spent a while trying to get it back out the brush...) I also, unlike my fantasy stuff, opted for larger scenic bases for each character to make them a bit more epic looking. I figured it would be worth it to make them stand out, and affordable as there won't be nearly as many to base compared to my fantasy (I'm thinking specifically of Bones III...) I used a Basicks 40mm trench base for this one Next up, Karmina Knox...
  7. When the TGG 2 kickstarter came out i thought I would buy some of the existing pieces they did in resin and metal to see what I would like. The detail is phenomenal and i didn't do it justice with this paintjob but it is a really well done mini, but there are lots of little bits and crevices to ensure that you will be painting the same spot 4 times to cover all the primer. So again. Tabletop but fun and at least I have one painted...
  8. This is from the Raging Heroes line of resin figures, and was the finale to my weekend paint binge.
  9. Two more of the minis I painted for a friend, in exchange for some pieces from the toughest girls in the galaxy kickstarter. Doctor Von X, with cybernetic tea service action and Lady Sigrith, who turned out much better than I thought she would from looking at the bare metal.
  10. That's what Wikipedia tells me, in no uncertain terms. So, here it is. I have a large selection of miniatures that would make excellent Rogues (or Thieves, for us old schoolers), and I mean to get them painted. First up, we have a trio of Bushido minis for another Were-Fox character concept. A seductress, who's no stranger to fighting: Saki, Kitsune, and Fox Form: Next, is the amazing Dark Sword Female Assassin: Next up Eskin, Male Rogue: Then Vesper-On's The Duke: Gretchen vonKonigsmark from Raging Heroes will make an appearance as a gun-toting rogue: Along with Jirelle, Iconic Swashbuckler: And the Master Harlequina from Klockenbooty Freebooter Miniatures: Also making an appearance, once I get her in hand, is Lenore from Hasslefree. Not a rogue by description, she will be painted as one (and probably my favorite Thief of all time): You know the rules, anything goes! On with the show!
