  1. Good afternoon again! Just finished Bale, the party's Eldrich Knight and god of Thunder/Battle for my current D&D campaign entitled "Broken Gods" Another one that's painted up to TT+ standard for me and took about 3-4 hours to do. Thanks for looking, C&C are welcomed and appreciated!
  2. They are 54mm scale miniatures cast in high quality resin. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/859512613/bloodpeak-barbarians
  3. About this project Sacred Sword is the world that our chibi miniature line belongs to. While the game and the world are not present in this project, it dictates our overall theme and feel. The Sacred Sword line will be a high fantasy world, with a distinctly classic RPG feel. Modeled heavily after your favorite classic JRPG games but with a lot of added character and flair. We hope to provide a compelling universe for both your favorite RPG engine or other games that you want to use these for. The Sacred Sword miniature line is a Chibi 32mm miniature line. These are cast
  4. I painted this guy up for a coworker who wanted to use him in his DND game. He heard through the corporate grapevine I was the "mini guy" and wanted me to assemble this figure plus two adventurers that were from the same promotion. The problem he was running into was that WOTC cheaped out on the production and the figures were pretty terrible. The sculpts were okay but the resin was flexible and full of air bubbles. He had snapped an arm trying to wiggle it off the sprue and came looking for "professional" help. Even my nice sprue cutters didn't help as the foot of one of the other figures exp
  5. Anyone know the approximate footprint of the Graveyard Vignette Base? I can roughly judge based on the existing tombstones that appear to be a part of the model, but I need to know whether it would hang over a 200mm x 100mm tray or not for wargaming compatibility purposes (Kings of War). The depth looks suspect to me.
  6. I'm always glad when a client sends some Arena Rex minis my way- the game has a wonderful set of sculpts. Here are the two strangest monsters from their lineup- the chimeric Proximo and the emaciated Wendigo. The only trouble I have with these pictures is that the gloss doesn't show up (it works on bloodied areas- the practically undead Wendigo has a few areas that should look shiny).
  7. I remember that the first Imbrian Arts KS had a lot of issues and delays, but I don't know whether it was eventually sorted out or not so if any previous backers have any info it would be worth speaking up. The minis look good though
  8. Freshly washed, only 4 of the 20 heroes need repaired. The 3 villains still need assembled but I thought it best to scrub them down before gluing. Next up: primer test.
  9. RUMBLESLAM I was surprised when I didn't see a thread for this kickstarter. They're doing wrestling miniatures of pretty much all the Blood Bowl fantasy races.
  10. A few people mentioned that they would be interested in seeing what I learned while playing with clear epoxy resin to make jewelry. Here's what I've done so far... To start, I wanted to make some ocean/beach themed jewelry for my daughter's birthday since she's obsessed with swimming and all things aquatic. I'd seen some examples of jewelry made with embedded organic materials ranging from dried flowers to shells, so I decided to give it a try. I got some supplies at my local Ben Franklin craft store: ICE Resin, open bezels and an assortment of little packs of dried sea creatures. If you
  11. EDGE OF OBLIVION After many miles climbing the mountains of his homeland, Torgar the Barbarian had finally caught up to the two thieves who had stolen his family heirloom, his grandmother's axe which had been used to cut the head off the great orc chieftain Yarvak. He had found their trail and followed it through the blizzard. He was raging after he had shown them hospitality and drinks, they had slipped a drug into his drink and stolen the artifact.... Now was the time for the reckoning! "VENGEANCE SHALL BE MINE!!!!" Roared Torgar, after taking the head off the first thief and showing
  12. Just checking. I am soon to assemble my first small-scale multipart resin miniatures, the sort with a number of possibly fiddly bits (Eyeballing them quickly, it looks like things like arms were fairly well-designed, with integral pin/pegs and corresponding shoulder holes already provided). I have assembled great slabs o' resin before, but this is the first delicate resin I've had to glue. On the whole I favor epoxy as glue, but would cyanoacrylate glue be a better choice for little minis? Any tips? The figures are more or less Egyptian-style cat people ("The Republ
  13. A little something I picked up from my FLGS's discount bin; this 54mm scale mummified minotaur comes with a choice of horns and pole-cleavers to attach to an otherwise simple assembly. Here are the parts laid out before priming. I still struggle to decide which horns and weapon to build him with. Using one means not using the other, after all, but I figure they'll find another place to go eventually.
  14. So I have been working on this guy since the middle of April, and finished his base and final assembly tonight, So I give you The Hobgoblin Cheiftain & Death Chicken! I am taking many pictures to try and find flaws, as well as to solicit opinions as to the best way / angle / composition because Infamy miniatures is holding a painting contest for this figure, and I can only send them 6 pics. (PS if you have this mini, just entering the contest will net you a store voucher of 10 GBP! Entries by 30 June) I will likely post more pics when I get a better idea o

  16. This was a speed paint I did in an attempt to paint faster and not overthink my miniatures. I had painted fhe base previously. Boris took and hour, my NMM attempt took 40 more minutes.
  17. So this is a Cthulhu Wars base that Vegascat sent me, (one of two), that I was painting as a piece of scatter terrain... It was supposed to be something easy and quick to fiddle with while other things were drying.... But like so many of my projects, it kind of grew.... And a close up of the Ivy WiP here Thanks for looking!
  18. Decided to start painting this awesome barbarian up as part of the Hobby Hangout Competition that's going on right now! Torgar the Barbarian Limited edition: 100 copies Concept: Roberto Cirillo Sculptor: Raul Garcia Latorre Material: Resin (Bigchild Creatives) Pieces: 10 Weight: 66gr Scale: 1:24 (75mm)
  19. So Vegas Cat sent me 2 of these, and as I am going to paint day tomorrow, I washed and Primed it, as I find that doing things that do not require finesse, helps me to get more done at paint days.... Thanks for looking!
  20. I actually finished this guy a few weeks back, but I didn't have a good set up to take photos of larger miniatures. Then, I realized the recently arrived game mat from Ganesha Games "Axe and Brimstone" Kickstarter would make a great backdrop for the larger pieces. So, here's the Storm Giant Royal Guard from Gale Force 9's "Dungeon & Dragon Collector's Series". Feel the thunder, friends.

  22. So I finished these up with some quick Drybrushes and washes, followed by dullcote and flock.... Astrid the Chronicler is standing in for Sir Forscale.... George
  23. So I started these to have some things not requiring a lot of fiddly work last NEMPA paint day, (19Nov) and finished them up last night. The Nest: I added a few small tufts of Autumn Buffalo Grass, a bit of Fine Earth Turf Flock, and some Fine Light Green Turf Flock. The Treasure pile: A few touches in the coins with Elven Gold... I dumped some of the Silver colored Glass Glitter onto this to see what it would look like, But as the glitter was NOT round, it looked kinda like someone had shattered 3 or 4 mirrors onto the pile, so it was removed.... These wre the first tim
  24. So I backed both of Oathsworn's Heroines in Sensible Shoes kick starters, and got a free resin piece in each one. The nest in KS1, The Treasure Pile in KS2... I brought them with me to paint day, as I have discovered I get more accomplished if I am doing non detail oriented work there.... I figure that the can be treasure tokens for my Frost Grave warband.... Nest: Basecoat of GW Graveyard earth, eggs are Warpainter Ocher 5, 4, & 3 Clothing is WP Violet 5 Bones, skull, & scroll are Iroku Backpack is 50% Black and Brown Leather... Treasure pile: Chest bands a
