This week I painted up the Mystic Theurge figure from the Bones 2 Pathfinder Heroes Set. My plan is to use him as a Soothsayer type wizard's apprentice for Frostgrave. Full painting step-by-step on my blog: http://allbonesabout.blogspot.com/2016/07/mystic-theurge-bones-ii-figure.html

This past week I painted up the Imrijka, Iconic Inquisitor, figure from the Bones II Pathfinder Heroes set. I believe this figure is supposed to represent a half-orc character, but I chose to paint it up as a half-elf female instead. So, the first thing I did was very carefully try to slice off the fangs. What I couldn't get off with a hobby knife due to the cramped area under her hat, I hoped to disguise with paint. There was something about her outfit that read Old West Cowboy to me; so I decided I would go with that kind of earth-tone palette for this figure. And her coat and hat made her seem a good candidate for Frostgrave basing. I'm really happy with how this figure turned out. I think the "Western" look came across well; and I'm particularly pleased with how her face turned out. I have to say with me faces are a good deal of luck rather than skill. I'm not good at painting those tiny details, but sometimes, like with this figure, my squinting stabs with paint turn out to be in just the right places. :) For the complete, step-by-step painting article, please see my blog: Imrijka

I'm currently working on the Bones 1 Grave Danger set as I head down the home stretch in my blog goal to paint and post all my Bones 1 Kickstarter minis. Just 11 more to go! This week I painted the Arrius, Skeletal Warrior, figure. I wanted to do something different than the standard grey/silver armor look, so I decided to go with red armor to make him a little more visually exciting. Other than that, it was a straight basic tabletop paint job. For the full step by step painting article, please see my blog: Arrius, Skeletal Warrior

This week I completed the Hordlings set from the Bones II, Expansion I. I needed something quick and simple to do because I was traveling over Spring Break, so knew my painting time would be limited. Since there were three of these figures in the set, I decided to base up two of them for Frostgrave, to represent Minor Demons; and the third I based regularly for other Fantasy games. I just did quick tabletop paint jobs. I've been painting a bunch of dark and drab stuff lately, so it was nice to use some vibrant colors for a change! As always, C & C welcome.

Last week, before I left for the Cold Wars miniatures gaming convention in Lancaster, PA (Hopefully some photos from that on the House Tabletop thread later today!), I put the finishing touches on Malek Necromancer from the Bones I Kickstarter Necromancers set. I'm now half way through this set, with two done, and two to go. After he was painted (for tabletop use), and sprayed with Dullcote, I superglued a green nail-art gem to the circle at the top of his staff. I think this detail turned out pretty nifty. As always, C & C welcome.

SACS is about the misadventures of precocious schoolgirl Sophie and her friends. She has a magic bell which allows her to turn into a sexy succubus when she jingles it. Other demons and succubi try to get Sophie into trouble at school, and hilarity ensues. This vignette is from season 1, Pumpkins Don't Lie (US title: Pumpkin Spice).

This was part of last year's Sophie-a-month goal and, like a lot of figures, didn't get finished when I messed up my hand. So here she is, Bob Ridolfi's beautiful Pirate Sophie:

Painted this a couple weeks ago during the 24 hour challenge. The back is a little rough, my hand was going numb and I rushed it a bit.

The wings are coming out well. I got some good advice from Jennifer at ReaperCon. I think the hair color is good but the highlighting isn't working for me. I did an orange base coat and some fire red shadows. I think some dark purple to deepen the shadows more and perhaps some white for highlights. Any suggestions?
