Here are some minis from the Bones Kickstarter V campaign. After Christmas, I was finally able to get some paint on some minis, and have a productive month. #1003 #1013. I love the expression on this guy. It looks like he's not impressed by whatever he's hearing. #1026. I tried a different recipe for painting his red cloak. I like how it turned out.

First painted this as a speed paint at Reapercon last year. Not a prize winner, but not too bad for tabletop in under an hour. And then there was the tip of his hat. So I grabbed some paint an did a quick clean up/repaint to spiff him up a bit.

Needed to relax and paint for fun for a change, and wanted to try some new paints. This was a Fun little one, in spite of a slight miscast. Tuilin: It’s hard to tell from the pictures, but I even managed to get pupils in her eyes that I’m happy with, yay! The blue is a Vallejo shade I wanted to try out. It’s turquoise in English, but the Spanish name is Halcón Milenario (Millennium Falcon). I don’t know why they call it that as Han’s ship was most certainly not this color, but it’s pretty. Shadows and highlights were attempted by adding MSP Nightmare Black and Dragon White, respectively. Her hair was another attempt at the Blond Hair triad, which is taking a bit of effort to get a handle on. It didn’t help that all my brushes are failing on me right when it’s not possible to get new ones. Comments and critiques welcome!

This is Dagny by Red Box Games. I love her! She is a huge pain to paint though because she has a lot of tiny bits that are really hard to tell what they are! I use her as my PC. She carries a fetish stick adorned with raven and owl feathers. Her robe is trimmed with a wolf pelt. The mini has a little demon perched on her shoulder peeking out of her hair. My PC has a bush baby familiar so I just painted it in shades of grey to stand in for her familiar.

These cultists were maybe the Bones II minis I was most looking forward to. Turned out to be the 2nd Bones II stuff I would paint. Can't wait for more to be released as I will be supplementing my cultist collection. They are so useful. Anyways, on to the paint job. I tried a couple experiments on the first ones and this deep red on their robes ended up being the way I went. I was pretty happy with them although it seems taking the photos has brought out all the little mistakes etc. Also after just one trip to the gaming store they have started to lose paint here and there. I paint my mooks in team colors, so these guys are the blue and green team cultists. Anyways, comments and criticism as always welcome, I am always trying to get better at this. Close up of the books... *edited for major problems in grammar

This is from the Castle Ravenloft set from Wizards, my "Shelf of Shame" Kobold Sorceror. He only had the base painted, and the skin painted before I picked him up again.
