Masaki here (03524) is simply a wonderful, clean, dynamic sculpt, and a perfect foil for O-Sayumi (60191). While you were learning the virtues of the carp, he studied the BLADE. Did some image searches for Edo-period prints of storm clouds, lightning, and rough seas. Not perfectly satisfied with the ocean aspects of his robe, but the lightning and clouds will do for now. Click for more angles: "Again we meet! So, the shogun sent you to kill me. He chose assassins well. Your strikes--swifter than the winter wind!" "And yet no swifter than you parry! But no, Masaki. You fight like twenty wolves. The shogun would never have you killed." "Then who?!" (If there's one thing the genre teaches us, it is that this will not go well for Masaki.)

This is my work so far on Goemon from the Ninja All Stars line of Sodapop miniatures. He is mostly done, but will need basing and to be sealed.

03524 Masaki, Ronin Every time I look at this miniature the line "They call me Jack..." comes in my head. I painted him to medium tabletop but his skin, that was fun. That was something I succeeded with at above tabletop, so I don't know where to put him quality-wise. The white I figured, given everything that happens during that show, would not be clean and crisp as it shows up every time on the show, so I made it a bit more dingy. I'm happy with it even if it's not super-crisp. I could probably throw another highlight on top for the white, but I really feel that he looks better this way. I threw a few gears on the ground to indicate he just blew up one of Aku's monsters, and his sword is slightly less bright because of that. C&C always welcome :)

I was at a convention and found this neat miniature, and then in the parking lot I found this neat rock! And so I thought "this rock would make a fine base, and make the miniature less wobbly!" Funny thing: the rock didn't up being that heavy, so the mini is now wobblier. Oooops... :-)

Hi all, I did it! I finally finished painting my CAV Terran Force, which means that all of the CAVs I own (and got from the 1st Kickstarter) now have some paint on! Woohoo !!!! Well that will last only until I receive the goodies from the 2nd KS. Simba: Ronin: Katana: The complete force group shot: And finally, I couldn't resist to stage and take a pic of an epic GDI Vs NOD (eh... i meant Terran Vs Rach) face-off. I thought it would be a nice way to wrap up this painting adventure.
