Normally I stick to Fantasy but recently I acquired 3D files for a wonderful faction of Space Woofs. The Jackals from Onepagerules. Naturally I bought them all... Don't worry citizen, WOOF has no plans to conquer the Galaxy...honest... In the welcome pack of that patreon I also got several Robot Legion Troops and I got some free Alien Hive and Eternal Dynasty minis as well. Combined with a "few" other scifi minis and files I have, I decided it to be time to explore the Galaxy. This is not my first time though. Here are some minis I painted in the past that fit the bill. https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/73384-the-elder-god-escapes-his-container-by-glitterwolf/ https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/91382-survivor-dog-by-glitterwolf/ https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/78572-50227-dee-dee-astro-girl-with-martian-mindworms-by-glitterwolf/ Enough of that... On to adventures in Space! I present the Jackals. First 3D prints are now curing. A Jackal Assault Beast. Three Jackal Nomads A few Power Packs, Backpack/Rocket pack and an Oil Drum. This will make a nice start. Since I don't play the game I will paint what I like and make up my own stories like you're used from me. Official background for the Jackals:

3D printed on my Elegoo Mars. Design - Imitation of Life. Part of my Intergalactic Journey Project. WIP : https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/99265-intergalactic-journey-glitterwolf-paints-aliens-spacecraft-and-other-scifi-things/page/3/ I went to town with Vallejo Rust Effects, Scale 75 Inks and Metallics and some Reaper Dungeon Slime/ Citadel Glistening Green. Let me know what you think. ************************ Taking cover is important in a firefight, but beware what you use for cover. Maybe these drums filled with toxic chemicals aren't the best idea. **********************

Generally not impressed, likely to be my only purchasesin this line. Not close to terrain in quality. Edgerunners set G ( missing right arm for exec 3, waiting to hear back from MFC) Edgerunners F primed, media glued Rockerboys Guitarist leg broken in pack, waiting to hear back. Looks too small to pin for me and won't glue on its own Keytarist primed manager glued

Nothing special here, just a random spacer for use in StarGrave, 5 Parsecs From Home, or any other games I get into. This was just a quick conversion using the top half of a broken Bones alien and some random GW bits ( legs from the old Dark Eldar, and a grenade from somewhere ). Since he's just going to be 'random blaster fodder #3', I just gave him a quick and dirty paint job.

I decided to do some Scifi stuff for a change. WIP HERE: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/99265-intergalactic-journey-glitterwolf-paints-aliens-spacecraft-and-other-scifi-things/page/3/#comments Design: OnepageRules. Jackal Tracker. I used a base from Txarli Factory though. Printed on my Elegoo Mars. ********************* Gh'ruff's patience was finally rewarded, there it was! He could almost taste the bitter smell of the metal and oil the Robot emitted. Staying out of range of it's sensors, Gh'ruff had been tracking the damn thing for days waiting for the right moment. And that moment was now! He aimed and held his breath for a moment, then slowly pulled the trigger. A HIT! Another one of those metal monsters down! The trick was to hit the right spot or they would just resurrect themselves. He had seen it happen before. A bit nervous he waited, nope, this was a good kill, as far as you could kill an unliving sentient machine of course. Time to head back to the tribe. The Shaman would be happy to know the threat was gone. ********************

Finished another one for my Jackal Army Design from OPR Design Base from Txarli Factory WIP https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/99265-intergalactic-journey-glitterwolf-paints-aliens-spacecraft-and-other-scifi-things/page/3/#comments ************************* W'roff knew he would never become a Tracker like his brother Gh'ruff, unfortunately he lost sight in his right eye due to a fight. Stupid Humans... One day the Humans came to trade, W'roff negotiated but things got sour, the Human got offended and lost his temper, W'roff lost his eye in that fight. Gh'ruff and a few others came to his rescue and that night the Tribe ate well. Stupid Humans... Oh well, he was one of the Nomads now, searching for valuables, some outsiders would call them scavengers, W'roff didn't like that name. It was an honourable thing to provide the Tribe with food or valuables to trade. Sometimes the owner of such valuables wasn't willing to hand it over, at such occasions W'roff could rely on his trusty combat knife and pistol. ************************

Two Jackal Nomads. Design: Onepagerules Base Design Txarli Factory ( Melee Fighter), Plastic Base with Milliput / GreenstuffWorld Rollerpin Cobblestone Texture ( Gunner) Part of my Scifi Projec: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/99265-intergalactic-journey-glitterwolf-paints-aliens-spacecraft-and-other-scifi-things/page/3/#comments ****************************** Nomads, the Tribe's scavengers/hunters/gatherers, what would the Tribe be without them? They search for food, useful parts, places to live etc. Now sometimes they encounter others, be it Jackals from another tribe or different species, this can lead to establishing a trade route but sometimes it's necessary to use force. The Nomads are fine with either scenario. *****************************

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/saucermenstudios/flatline-city-second-wave This should make great terrain for many SciFi skirmish games. The EBs are gone, so the all-in is 79 AUD.

Started converting my bones v robot kobolds. The idea was to arm them with scifi weapons to use them as a little starship boarding party. The plan is to do a total of 9 when ever they hit retail, all with different weapons. So far axe guy has a plasma gun and a samurai banner. Then there's rocket launcher kobold Knife kobold has a flame thrower.

I was considering running a game at Reapercon this year (assuming it happens). Is there interest in Stargrave as a convention event? Are other people planning on running the game at the convention? buckyball

Assembled my crew and prepped and primed them. Two clopsen troopers, a lizardman recruit, sniper and another recruit/ chisler. A gnoll commando, medic and recruit, and a cultist recruit/hacker and trooper. Edit: It is a bit funny that My crew isn't using much of the actual Stargrave miniatures other than a few arms and guns, but then this is just the first crew, and I'll need some ruffians and pirates as well.

So I finally fell into the temptation and got my first ground based sci fi minis!(I do have spaceships.) A Cataphract, conquerer , and a halberd by Reaper minis came in with my horsman today! Sadly the halberd is missing a piece so it may in end up being returned. So my first order of business was a small conversion to the cataphract Before conversion And the conquerer has donated the necessary parts for said conversion, specifically his smaller missile pods. A bit of work with an exacto knife removed said weapons. And a bit more exacto work to make a spot for the pods on the Cataphract. Some super glue to assemble the cataphract and voila! It is time for paint! And don’t worry about the Conquerer, I have a conversion in mind for it too. It just might not be a true mech when I’m done....... More sci-fi stuff to come soon I hope! And maybe just maybe I’ll try to make a backstory for these guys. Thankyou for looking!

I was cleaning up behind my barn and found this half-buried in the dirt. Was just on the way to throwing it out when I just couldn't. So I washed most of the dirt off, and cut a base from scrap plywood I had, and away I go! I actually have a semi-solid plan. I want to knock this one out fast, first of all, so maybe it'll get done this year (ideally before spring or even March, but I know how things go). I want it to evoke a few things without quite indicating any of them. The Tyrell building from Blade Runner is a big one. The magitek factory from Final Fantasy VI is another. But I also want to maintain that primitive temple look--like a Mayan or Aztek pyramid--which the shape itself lends to. I also want it to appear as though it's either been abandoned or nearly so, and nature has started to retake it. So lots of pipes and vines and gears (see my initial bits pile) and maybe a surprise if I can keep motivated... Let me know what you think! Ha, also noticed my little Narshe cottage in the background--it's nearly complete as far as building. That'll be for another topic though!

This is a Cataphract mech by Reaper minis from Cav with added missile pods from a conquerer mech. Paints used: Vallejo paints white surface primer Olive Green Dark Brown Oily Steel, Gunmetal Testors paints, Gi. Red Flat steel Model Masters paints, Gun Metal, Burnt Iron Other colors Burnt Umber and Black. Man! I didn’t realize I used that many colors on this thing! Enough about paint! Time for pictures! I have enjoyed painting this up and even got to try something new. Thankyou for looking and feel free to offer constructive critiques!

EDIT: This kickstarter is now Live: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cmon/zombicide-invader "Humans came to PK-L7 in search of high powered fuel. They found it with Xenium, a dark, oily compound deep below the planet’s surface. But they found something else too. The Xenos attack was brutal and unrelenting, and they’re still coming. On April 10 at 3pm EST, Zombicide: Invader is coming to Kickstarter. Follow the CMON and Guillotine Games Facebook pages for regular updates on the Survivors, Xenos, Equipment, and Environments of this interstellar battle for life, and look for our interview with the Zombicide: Invader design team later this week. Grab a weapon, barricade the doors, and prepare to be invaded." Zombicide:Invader is a cooperative game where 1 to 6 players face Xenos, an unfathomable swarm of infected Xenos controlled by the game itself. Each player takes on the role of 1 to 6 Survivors in a sci-fi setting being overwhelmed by these Xenos. The goal is simple: choose a Mission, complete its objectives, kill as many Xenos as possible, and (most importantly) survive! Survivors will fight Xenos, rescue each other, recover vital data, unveil dark secrets, and much more! Survivors can be Civilians or Soldiers, each with specialized Skills. They all play together as a team, trading Equipment, and covering each other. They use whatever weapons they can get to kill Xenos and slow the invasion. The better the weapon, the higher the body count, but the more Xenos will appear, attracted by the onslaught! Survivors must also be mindful of their location as conventional weapons work fine indoors, but the planet’s oxygen-starved surface, they’ll need to arm themselves with more specialized weaponry… Lasers, anyone? Most of the time, Xenos are predictable, but there are a lot of them and they use nasty tactics not encountered in previous Zombicidegames. Only through cooperation can players achieve the Mission objectives and win." - I haven't backed a CMoN kickstarter in a awhile, but I think this one might tempt me depending on what the minis and gameplay are like.

This is something I started working on a looong time ago. I finally made the push to get it done and get it out--probably donating it to one of the FLGSs. WIP here: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/87566-ruined-building-terrain-pic-heavy-ish/ I wasn't trying to get too, too fancy with this. Rather I began with the intent to see how quickly I could make a good enough piece of terrain. Had I not taken a year-long hiatus from it I may have succeeded, as I think that barring drying times I have around. You can see a Bones skele or to lurking around for scale. I was having a challenging time with my camera and the lighting (room is kind of in disarray at the moment), so I have a few different exposures here. Had a lot of fun with the fiddly bits like the graffiti, wire conduit, and dead plants. In the fist and second pics you can even see one of my new backgrounds in the...background--too bad I made it for a standard mini, not a large building. Questions, comments, critiques welcome!

This is just something that's been on the SoS for an embarrassing amount of time. Finally making the effort to finish it up and move on. Materials are corrugated cardboard on a base of stiff cardboard/MDF. Rebar from paperclips. Rocks, gravel, and sand, and a straw for the pipe. Spray primed with black, wet brushed with gray hobby paint. Next will be some highlights and a wash, some vegetation, and done. Reaper Bones skelie for skale! Pardon the rigged light box--lots of other house projects have my hobby room crammed with crap at the moment.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/reclusivephoenix/slumbering-oblivion-iii-hades-rising Coming off the heels of two successful Kickstarters, Reclusive Phoenix is happy to announce our third project. This is the second project in our Slumbering Oblivion 32mm scale game line and the aim is to produce the human armies to face off against the forces of Cthulhu. The human army is known as H.A.D.E.S. (Human Alliance in Defense of Earth and Sea) and is under the command of the new human alliance called the Aligned Nations of Earth. TL:DR / The Short Story We are trying to fund the human army miniatures for our upcoming Slumbering Oblivion 32mm scale tabletop war-game. The initial goal is to fund the creation of a 5 model unit manufactured out of resin. The more funds we raise, the more units and models we will produce and the quicker the game will come to fruition. This is also an EU friendly campaign in the sense that shipping will be fulfilled from US and UK locations which should help cut down on additional taxes and fees for international backers. Four of the First Five Miniatures H.A.T.E. Trooper - Gustav I backed their first KS for cthuloid monsters and it was excellent and delivered without issue, the second for the Giant Cthulhu also appeared to go well so if you like the look of these they're probably a safe bet
