  1. Presenting the Gladiator, part of the Echoes Of Death series from Kingdom Death. Another one rescued from the Cupboard Of Unfinished Things. My Kingdom Death minis always turn out fairly hit or miss, and I think this one falls a bit on the miss side, but I like the job I did on her shield. Just wish they'd stop with the dramatic dust clouds, can never figure out how to paint them! As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  2. Hello everyone, I completed this one today. 03892, Dark Dwarf Striker is a Dark Heaven Legends model that was sculpted by Bobby Jackson. The other models of this series are on my to paint list. I bought the metal versions, plus two enlarged Bones Black models.
  3. Hello everyone, here are pictures of SantOrc Claus 07007, Orc Warrior of the Ragged Wound Tribe. This Dungeon Dwellers model was sculpted by Bobby Jackson.
  4. Hello everyone, here are pictures of 02811, Dain Deepaxe. This one took me a little longer to finish. There is so many details on this model, it's amazing. This Dark Heaven Legends model was sculpted by Werner Klocke.
  5. Presenting Sir Shelly from Knightmare Games. Sometimes the path of Chaos offers great power, and sometimes you end up needing to stay constantly moist or you die. Really enjoyed painting this one, he's just so weird looking! Still can't paint gems though. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  6. Presenting Angry Joe, the last of my Survivors from the Gigalion expansion from Kingdom Death. He believes the best defence against monsters is to wear a suit made of their skin. Had a lot of fun painting this one, Gorm armour is my favourite set despite all the little details, now I just need to paint the Gigalion itself. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly recieved.
  7. This model is a Dark Sword Miniatures masterpiece of a sculpt by Jeff Grace. Never before have I seen so many tiny etchings on plate armor, especially on a figure that is barely 1.6 inches high. I feel a bit let down by my red OSL, but then again, this was only my second real attempt at the process, which is surely one I need to practice more.
  8. "Umm... Guys, I think I've found our missing team members." Presenting the Cleric, part of the second Echoes of Death set from Kingdom Death, not sure why she has such a gruesome base insert, none of the others came with one. Disappointingly, she looks pretty terrible in the piccys. Honestly, apart from her decidedly wonky eyes, I thought I'd done a fairly good job. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  9. Hi everyone, here's another 77236, Bloodmane Gnoll Warrior. The original version this time. This model was sculpted by Tre Manor. 77236, Bloodmane the Gnoll Warrior and his friend 77234 Boneflail the Gnoll Cleric.
  10. In pursuit of my goal, here is another Gnoll that I finished painting last night. This 77234, Boneflail female Gnoll Cleric was sculpted by Tre Manor. In spite of their devotion to Yeenoghu, few Gnolls have any interest in ritual and there is few clerics or shamans to be found among the savage packs. Gnolls would sometimes summon demons to fight alongside them.
  11. Hi everyone, here's another Gnoll I painted. 77388, Gnoll Warrior sculpted by Bobby Jackson.
  12. Hi everyone, here are pictures of the first model I painted this year. Seems like I'm having a busy January... 02789, Talarand the Blackguard was sculpted by Tim Prow. It's one of the top five favorite model I painted so far. This suit of armor is astounding.
  13. Field agents of the Inquisition, Crusaders are warriors trained in some of the finest military academies in the galaxy. They provide any group they are assigned to a wealth of knowledge and experience, and a worrisome reminder that the Inquisition is always watching. Presenting Hugo the Crusader, a character class from Warhammer 40k by Games Workshop (this particular one is from the Blackstone Fortress standalone game). This one proved quite tricky, made the classic mistake of getting him assembled and based before checking to see if I could actually get into all h
  14. Hi everyone, here's 07002, Baran Blacktree, Veteran Warrior sculpted by Bobby Jackson. I painted it with Reaper’s MSP acrylics and shaded with Citadel inks. Also, I use Vallejo Acrylic Matt Varnish for the first time on this model. I like that varnish, it's perfectly flat and don't add any artificial reflection. I 3d printed the base to match with the tiles on the diorama it will eventually be displayed on.
  15. Bones 4 core set #20. Could not find a release # for him yet. I took this guy and a few of his pals to Reapercon to work on in my spare time (ha!) and got him base coated using some of the new Pathfnder paint set. I couldn't help but notice the chickens and the look of terror on his face, thus the name. Finished him with a basic drybrush and wash for table top play.
  16. Hi folks, My very first snow base! I haven't attempted Non-Metallic Metal on a shield like this before and I'm happy with how it's turned out :) Thanks, Mocha
  17. I haven't posted for a bit but I have been painting. I have been painting mostly for D&D but some just because they are fun models. Luckily, the two cross over quite a bit so I get to paint fun models for D&D! I painted up these little goblins. I have the other 6 waiting to be painted. For these, I decided little greenskins. They are so cute!
  18. WIP. Two things, first I couldn’t resist. Second I can’t believe I am the only one to do this.
  19. Good day everyone, In the wait of playing Scourge of the Howling Horde adventure, I recently painted these two nuisances. Inspired by Anne Foerster work displayed in Reaper's Online Store, I went with the classical orangish skin tone and dark leather color. I also added war paints on their face and limbs. 07003 Dungeon Dwellers Bloodbite Goblins sculpted by Bobby Jackson.
  20. Presenting The Fighter (Echoes of Death version), she's a Kingdom Death: Monster re-imagining of their existing The Fighter mini, who, in turn, was Kingdom Deaths take on a generic fighter class character. Quite pleased with this one. She took a while as I kept finding bits I'd missed hiding under her hair, and I rushed her shield in the end (it needs at least one more highlight, but my hands have been really shaky recently and I didn't want to mess it up) so I may put a bit more work in at a later date. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  21. Started working on the Echoes of Death set. I have the whole set, but I also have an appalling track record when it comes to actually finishing my Kingdom Death figures, so I'm just building and painting them one at a time. Starting with the Fighter (who's gigantic):- So far, I've made a start on her skin:- It's a basecoat of 1:1 Elf Skin/Rosy Skin with a Flesh Shade Wash. I stopped here and took a piccy so I could get some idea of where her eyes are, I think buying some sort of magnifier is in my future.
  22. Presenting Mara Frostraven the Anti-Paladin, with Succubus Shield and Ice Sword. Not quite sure why she seems to be shrinking in the pictures. Wished I could've done a bit more with her face, it just seemed so small though! As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  23. Good day everyone, here is a classic Orc model from Ral Partha I painted some time ago. It's a 25mm tall metal "lead" model sculpted by Jeff Wilhelm and was part of TSR D&D 10-512 Monsters Boxed Set produced in 1992.
  24. Hi everyone, here is the second Goblin model from Ral Partha's 10-512 Monsters Boxed Set produced in 1992. It's a 25mm tall metal "lead" miniature that was sculpted by Bob Olley and I painted it with acrylics. I love how the scimitar guard and the helmet were sculpted on this model.
  25. Here is DSM8112, Persian Cat dual wield Warrior. This Dark Sword Miniatures, Critter Kingdoms - Anthropomorphic Animals is a three-part 28mm pewter model that was sculpted by Dave Summers. I glued the left hand and right arm before painted it.
