  1. A friend of mine from California is a player in my RPG group. Comes into town about once a month...she loved the looks of this figure and asked me to paint it up as her adventure character (but not as a vampire). This is the commission piece that I painted for her. This is a playing piece (only when the player is in town to play).
  2. This is one of the male characters in my RPG adventure group.
  3. Here is my latest. I had this one based and primed sitting on my table since spring of last year and just now got around to painting her. I tried a few color schemes before settling on this one. The photos were taken prior to adding a few brighter highlights to her skin, but other than that, this is pretty much how she looks finished. This was one of the toughest sculpts I have painted for some reason, but I am happy with the end results. This figure proves that I still have some areas of blending technique that I need to master. All in all though, not a bad miniature for one that is going for sale on eBay. Some of you all might think it strange that I really do not collect or display my own miniatures, but either sell them all on eBay, paint them for commission, give them as gifts or painted for the forum exchanges. The only miniatures I have on my display shelf are ones received in exchanges form other Reaper members. Since I do not game anymore and I already have collected way too much stuff over the years, I figure that I have the photos for memories or a portfolio, so I am good. C&C welcome.
  4. Ok finally finished this miniatrue, he's painted quickly aiming for tabletop standard only. In the end I did paint a bit more detail than I had originally intended but he hasn't had the level of attention most of the character models I've done recently have recieved. He was rebased onto a Back-2-Base-ix 25mm Celtic Ruins base as part of an early experiement in finding out how hard that would be (easy it turns out).
  5. This miniature was painted for use as a PC model. Unfortunately my work transfered me away from my players and so I had no motivation to finish the mini until I started on my current spree of painting.
  6. This one goes out to Buglips (even if it is an elf ;)) I'm not sure of the company, probably Ral Partha, but I am sure of the sculptor; Tom Meier. I have one other elf from this range that I need to finish some time in the coming months/weeks, but he is pretty far back in the current queue (at least until I pull him forward).
  7. Here is my interpretation of Boris the Evil Fighter sculpted by Bobby Jackson. I converted it, repositioning his gladius upwards and adding some hair on is bald head. His left arm was also slightly repositioned frontward to receive a Death Knight shield on which I added the two smaller horns. I decided to call him Eusebe the Sturdy in homage to an elderly neighbour who turned 98 years old lately. I painted the armor and shield using brass metallic color and a mix of blue and silver over a black primer. Comments and critics are very welcome.
  8. Hi there folks! So yeah, I am new. Not to miniature painting on a whole, but to posting any of my work(s) for thumbs up and criticism. I have always just painted for myself or friends. I like to paint for table top RPG, and Wargamming. Long story short, I took a pretty hefty break from mini painting but got back in to the game when I started playing AD&D again about two years ago. I have always loved painting more than the people and players I know. So, after getting hooked on Miniature Mentor, and spending over two hundred dollars on painting supplies, I am painting every day! All that backstory nonsense aside. Here are the images of my latest Reaper mini. I had a ton of fun painting him. I made the rocks and moss on my own, using modeling materials. The round base is from P3, so it is 30mm I think. He is standing on a black Tamiya paint cap so he would be in the middle of the photo. Any and all comments or criticism are welcome. I will post others soon. I erm...ran out of bases though, so I need to order some. lawl (Pictures cropped on recommendation) Putting a Pixcafe link here. So you can see the images in a bigger resolution if you care to. The link goes to these exact images only. I am not pushing anything. Promise!
