I did a Nagendra Swordsman for RCL in January based on the blue pit viper. It was fun, so I figured I’d set him up with a date. Get ready for a teeming horde of blue baby snakes (calling out any fans of Zappa…!). Anyways, this time I knew to put magenta down first, then work on the blues. I didn’t go into it planning it as an NMM study, but the copper, steel and gold all seemed appropriate choices. I was happy with the effect I got by adding a purple wash into the copper triad, it seemed to give a better burnish to the highlight color, which then could be selectively pushed with a second highlighting (verdigris was last). Still not happy with the sword, but all of the relief work makes those Nagendra swords tough! As always, comments and criticism are welcomed!

Here is a model I wanted to paint for a long time. I decided to give it a twist by adding an artifact on its base. This is an 03655, Iron Cobra sculpted by Andrew Pieper. The Orb is from the 02652, Magic Treasures III and the base is a 40mm wide 74024 base.

I love doing WIPs. And I've got a lot projects I should finish 😊. And since there is still no progress with Barros and Tempest (this time because I'm still waiting for a new base to be shipped), why not start something new? I've yet to paint my first dragon, so I'll use this opportunity to do it. I confess, I'm cheating a bit here, since I'm going to paint the white dragon by Dark Sword Minis - that's a very small dragon. But still, he's got wings and teeth and claws and scales, so definitely a dragon, yessir! I absolutely love this mini. I bought it many years ago, but the horns went missing. Fortunately, when I ordered some more minis from Dark Sword a while ago, I was able to order some spare horns, so now I'm good to go. Here he is, assembled and prepped: Now I have to decide on a paint scheme, which I can't bring myself to do. There are three ideas I have at the moment: paint him up as an ice dragon. I'm thinking white with pinkish/greenish undertones and a base made with transparent crackle paint. There was a very cool version of an Ice Dragon a while ago on this forum, but I can't seem to find it any more. paint him up as a star dragon using the technique I learned at RVE in Kevin Holderny's class. I used it on a coat so far, maybe it looks very cool on the dragon's wings. paint him up as a real world snake. Now there are so many possibilities... Decisions, decisions... Some more work on the base.

Design by Heroes Infinite Printed on my Elegoo Mars. Senliah the Seductress part of my Shifting Sands Project WIP/PROJECT HERE: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79372-shifting-sands-glitterwolf-paints-egyptian-undead/page/20/#comments The Sultan leaned back in his cushions, the room was almost dark, suddenly the fires lit up and the music started. Senliah stepped forth from the shadows and started her dance. He was enthralled, her moves, those curves, and the thrill of the danger while she danced with that large venomous serpent! Such a show! Aaaahhh his friends would be delighted to see her at the banquet he would host next week. Senliah had agreed to perform for him alone tonight to give him a taste of what they could expect. The Sultan couldn't keep his eyes from her, such grace such beauty and yet a hint of danger. Of course there were those who couldn't cope with her being so populair. Some even talked behind her back, spreading rumours that she danced in the forbidden Temple of Apophis! Rubbish! The Sultan thought, if anyone was caught spreading such gossip he would have that person beheaded, how dared they speak of such an innocent girl like that!

Never heard of this before but it's a cool monster. Not sure when or where you'd run into one, but I bet it will be the most inconvenient time and place. According to online sources they come in all colors, so I loosely based mine on a green iguana.

So for my Shifting Sands Project I would like a photobackdrop like I did for my Lost World. Sort of a little diorama/terrain piece on its own but also a nice backdrop. I'll present to you: The Temple of Apophis ( or Apep) the Forbidden God. Nobody in his right mind would worship the Suneater, or would they? Start and some shuffling around with pieces to get ideas. I already have some stuff in mind, still possible to change/add stuff. Printing the Artisan Guild Snake Statues that go with that altar as we speak. Need more of those braziers, and I will print up some Egyptian torches, maybe columns etc... Now! KNEEL before Apophis!!!

This is a Photobackdrop Board I built for my Shifting Sands Project. I was inspired by the great backdrops @malefactus built, so I built one for my Jungle Project a few years ago, and now this one. It's a Temple of Apophis the Suneater. The Large Cobra is the Bones King Cobra SKU: 44103 The statues, altar, braziers are all 3D printed files from Artisan Guild. on my Elegoo Mars The Treasures are a mix of Reaper Egyptian Treasure SKU: 03112 and some Resin treasures from Tabletopstudios/Minimonsters. The Temple is carved from AK Interactive Foam and the Glyphs are made with the Greenstuffworld Egyptian Rollerpin. Tufts from Vallejo. WIP HERE: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/91790-temple-of-apophis-photoboard-by-glitterwolf/#comments Nobody in his right mind would build a Temple to honour the Suneater, the Destroyer, the Serpent God Apophis and yet...here it is. Many adventurers thought themselves to get rich upon finding the halfburied entrance, none returned. Guest appearances from some minis I painted for the project.

Nagendra Warrior from Bones 2 (I think) Patterned after a Coral snake I'm really disappointed that the shading got washed out in the photo. Im a better painter than photographer I guess. Hope you enjoy it! Thanks, Gantrell

This was one of the first minis I printed. It's from Yeggie, Multiverse3DDesigns. I based the colours on the Egyptian Cobra. He's part of my Shifting Sands Project. WIP here: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79372-shifting-sands-glitterwolf-paints-egyptian-undead/page/15/#comments Somewhere deep in the Desert an unholy cult exists. Here we see one of their priests, reading from a sacred book bound in human flesh, written in a language unknown to Men. What kind of incantations is he reading? What unholy abomination is he summoning?

44078 Giant Snake (#616) Yeah, snakes have been around since the Garden of Eden. The earliest fossils of snakes we have date from the Cretaceous period, 145-66 million years ago). Snakes seem to be a successful group of animals, still alive and slitherin'. I tried to give it a relatively realistic patterning with colouration that might work on the autumnal flock I use these days. 32mm base. Sculpted by Julie Guthrie Great Beasts indeed! From the Lost Valley expansion Bones 4 kickstarter, 2019 Reaper Miniatures Made in Bones Black PVC available from reapermini.com These models were completed the 2nd of May.

So finally got the courage to post some minis that I have finished over the last few months. Here are some of the Yuan-Ti Nagendra metal minis I have always really liked. I have the archer and halberd still to paint up that I have from my most recent order, but am taking a break from the scaly creatures for a bit. I know I need to work on my highlighting but any other feedback is welcome.

This is Vilthiss Snake Champion from Mierce's Banelords Range. Resin. Base is made with a Greenstuffworld Rollerpin some skulls and a few of Ristul's Fantasy Market's resin bugs. After taking the pics I noticed a little too much purple gums on the upper side of the teeth, it's fixed. He's part of my Lost World Project which you can find here: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=154 This guy has some belts and buckles, If I didn't know better I would suspect it was a Klocke sculpt.. NEW PICS ADDED Fixed the teeth and added a reflection dot. First 5 pics are the new ones.

Did a little painting today to calm my nerves before the con. Experimented with several brands of metallic paint. Photos are not great, but you get the idea.

Here is the snake man warrior I finished a few weeks back. I was having issues with the yellow belly since the paint was very chalky but I did what I could. I am happy with the shading and tiny reflection on the gem on his bracer, it was my first time doing that, even though it's basically invisible from 3 feet away. Let me know what you think!

If I'm going to do a Bones IV figure, why not start with this big fella.. Going to go for a classic Hooded Cobra look on the upper half and stone on the lower .. Will be using this picture for a reference.. Since I'm terrible at remembering to take pictures, I've already done: - Brown Liner all over - Stone Wash on the lower half - Stormy Grey dry brush on the lower - Misty Grey dry brush on the lower - Sepia Liner on the top - Griffon Tan on the top The stonework looks decent for now, but haven't tried for pseudo-realism on this scale before (pun definitely intended :D )

The Bones Giant Cobra. I saw a lot of neat ones painted with stripes and different patterns but decided to go simple with mine. I did drybrush highlights with some bronze and copper to give him a little shimmer and he looks really good on the table. My players are worried because they fought a giant snake last session (I didn't have him painted) so they are worried there is another one coming. You never know!

La Charra Santa Muerte Bust by Glitterwolf
Glitterwolf posted a topic in Works in Progress: Painting
This is La Charra a wonderful bust from Creepytables Miniatures. I cleaned some mold lines. From the look of it the hat needs some work with putty, will attend to that later. I have decided the Skulls on the base will be sugarskulls. The snake is a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake. La Charra will get some facepaint in the Dia de Muertos style. I'm not sure about her hair yet. Blackish Blue? Greenish? Red/purple? Need to think about it, any suggestions welcome. I haven't decided about the patterns of her facepaint yet, there are a lot great ideas out there. Here are some inspirational pics.- 67 replies

This is a little sideproject from my Lost World Project WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/& I think it deserves it's own WIP. It will be covered in the Lost World as well, but there it will be interrupted by the other things I paint and build there. With courtesy to @malefactus , @Peithetairosand @Chris Palmer for inspiring me with their awesome terrainbuilding. It all started when I noticed my spare base from Kaladrax. Kaladrax was put on a crypt as can be seen here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/77556-kaladrax-on-her-mausoleum-by-glitterwolf/ At first it was just an idea, putting some jungle stuff on that. But then things kinda got out of hand a bit. And some fericious foam cutting

This is from Rackham/Confrontation an Ophidian Warrior. He is a Heavy Snake Infantryman for my Lost World. He originally came with a sword to put on his side, but I left it off. Liked him better this way. He is on a resin base from Micro Art Studio enhanded with Vallejo Still Water. WIP is here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=136 On to the pics, some against my Jungle Backdrop Board.
