  1. Oohhh lets walk into that dungeon with all the snake motives. What could go wrong? And against a different backdrop. Bonus points if you recognize the environment.
  2. So I finished the Bones version of Vanja. I also tried a few backdrops ( just printouts from the internet). Hope you like her. EDIT: forgot to mention this earlier, don't know if it shows well in the pics. The armor is red mixed with silver to get a metallic look, later i added more silver for the highlight parts. And with a more neutral back drop. I'm new to this...must make a lightbox soon. These were made in the garden.
  3. I am basing this one on a Lowland Copperhead... a very colorful neat looking snake.
  4. Figured he could have his own thread Painting him up like a Gaboon Viper. Not sure what to do for terrain yet. Would be neat to have those fake dead leaf litter stuff to properly make him look at home but i don't have any of that Going to focus on making his markings crisper now that i have them marked out
  5. So I'm going to make a WIP for most of the minis I bought for this month's Ghoulie bag special Axebeak and the two giant snakes are dark-washed, I've started painting the tiger. Displacer phase cat is primed, and I've twisted his tentacles into poses that make me happy. Axebeak is on a Secret Weapon Blasted Wetlands base, and the giant snake [with his lovely dragon head that I decided to use instead of the viper one] is on a Secret Weapon Lava base *EDIT TO ADD* Ral Partha griffon and 03679 Giant Cobra. And a pack of old pewter doggies
  6. Tarlen has received his mini, safe and sound, so I can post these pics! I had an absolute blast painting this one up. Tarlen described a pretty wild setting for his current campaign, so I wanted something that would be a bit exotic. He also specified "no horde monsters," so I wanted a creature that could conceivably be an encounter on its own. I decided to go with a gorgon/medusa. Gorgons have long been one of my favorite monsters, and the metal version of this was one of the first monsters I painted, so I was excited to revisit the sculpt. I painted the metal one in fairly drab greens
  7. Tearing through my Bones, trying to get ready for Bones II, and AVP.
  8. This model really lends itself well to the Bones Material because the whole thing has a heck of a lot of texture, especially the abs and the tail. Great fun to paint, and real easy. Link (Because of the Nudity) http://i.imgur.com/P67STlX.jpg
  9. Alright, so this will be the last post I make for a bit, I think. I just got my new minis in, so that should be occupying my time for awhile. I did this sucker two days ago (picked him up from my local comic shop.) He's my 4th ever attempt at painting a mini and my second Bones figure. I think I will eventually go back in and touch up the swords, but I'm quite pleased with him overall.
  10. So I found two primed minis I had misplaced, the Iron Cobra Talespinner had sent me along with the wyvern and a clearance monk like mini I had bought at my FLGS. This is going to be a WIP for the cobra =3 Question is....should I try out my new rust skills and make a rusty cobra? It's tempting...but he is rather small, i might not be able to get the full effect on him. So shiny might be the way to go. Opinions?
  11. VIGNETTE TITLE...MOONSHINE (NOVELTY VIGNETTE)... NOTE...I have had this cute Reaper female wearing daisy duke shorts for a long time, but never really got any ideas about how to use her in a vignette. The other day I saw an art sketch by an artist named Dodion and the idea for my vignette " sang " to me. I finally had the right concept setting for my daisy duke girl. This is the making of my (MOONSHINE) vignette. PHOTO 1. Parts from my giant parts box to make the moonshine still. PHOTO 2. REAPER (Bobby Jo, Redneck Princess # 50200)...my daisy duke honey. PHOTO 3. Rattlesnake made fro
  12. For one of my PFRPG games, the PCs will be running into a group of snakemen. I prefer my snakemen to have human torsos and snake lower bodies, but most of the snakemen minis are either snake-women that fit this description, or snakemen who are just huge snakes with arms. Now that Bones are coming, conversions are cheap, so I thought I'd give it a whirl. I will be combining Lindir, Elf Archer with Vandorendra Demon [warning, store link nudity alert]. 30 minutes with an exacto knife and some greenstuff and he has a new pair of legs! Comments on the conversion are welcome, but they nee
  13. Warning, contains spoilers for the Pathfinder Adventure Path "Serpent's Skull". The Serpent's Skull campaign that I'm GMing is almost finished, and I wanted to put together something special for the final boss. I haven't been able to find any minis that came even close to representing this thing, so I decided to try to create my own 'mini' for the final boss out of green stuff. A lot of green stuff. I have made modifications to small miniatures with green stuff before, but I have never tried to sculpt something on my own before I made this thing. I expected it to come out horribly. I
