Very happy with the eyes on this one as I usually screw those up. I guess buying a 18/0 brush was a good idea. Apologies for the photo, was taken with my phone.

Hello everyone, New (or rather ... old) Show Off. Some time ago I read about Roza Shanina, a Soviet-Russian sniper who fought during WWII on the Russian front. So ... I kind of got bewitched by her. So I when Stoessis Heroes (small company's range of more or less famous heroes of WWII) started to produce a miniature inspired by Liudmyla Mykhailivna Pavlychenko, I had to get it, convert it and paint it. The picture that inspired me aaaaaand .... the outcome of my work.

To continue my Imperial Assault posts, here is the figure I photographed that had the best light. I'll have to re-take pictures of everyone else. Fenn Signis is a sniper hero in the game. I did follow the Sorastro Guides, but with Reaper paints. The hardest part of this figure was trying to paint in purple sunglasses, when they are not part of the sculpt. Oh, that and BLACK! The pic is a little out of focus on that one, because the camera chose to put the tip of the gun in best focus there. I was happy with how the rebel insignia on his shoulder came out. Enjoy, and let me know what you think.

My in-laws have a tradition of passing off a joke gift to all the male adults. Someone (it's forgotten who originally was gifted with the slippers) got a pair of knitted size 14 (my in-laws are all over 6'5, I'm the short one at 6'2) slippers in white, orange and green wool. They are ugly. This person then added a small change, like a patch, to each slipper and re-gifted it. The tradition continues. There's one more person I can give these to before it becomes a random (or someone else marries into the family). I'm adding a few quickly painted bones orcs. I would do different ones (because I have doubles of a couple), but apparently they need to be the same. If in the event it's legal, I will be replacing a sniper with a marauder 77042. I will document my quick paintjob in this thread, and then safety pin them to the slippers. I will also be painting a few other bones orcs too - the marauders and Rogan 77224. Photos soon.

As mentioned in my other threads, running a modern campaign now as well as trying to hit a certain goal by the end of the year which means painting needs to pick up and time to get these modern minis done (how many years ago was Bones I released? let's not talk about that...) This mini was more fun than she looked unpainted. She has a quirky early 90s looking poof of hair poking up around her head piece reminiscent of Jean Grey from the X-Men cartoon series. Based on that I thought an odd color combo (red and purple) might be more fun. The camo on the gun was an after though as I was trying to think of ways to add more to it so it's so prominent. I was inspired by someone's cav post (not sure which) where they did quite a lot of camo and thought I'd give it a try. I think it turned out alright, but will probably experiment so more with it in the future (it's military green, camoflage green, basic dirt, and ginger cookie for those curious). Thanks for reading! Comments, criticism and suggestions are always appreciated!

My other Raging Heroes mini I mentioned in my other thread is now finished ^^ She represents another of my 40K RP characters (who is currently unnamed which is awkward as its slowly getting closer to the point where she's gonna turn up xD) who is a Inquisition Storm Trooper. I opted for the usual red fatigues, black armour colour scheme that the Inquisition troops usually have I based her to match the Commissar, using a Basicks trench 40mm base My photos still arent amazing, but I think theyre getting better at least xD

Another star wars PC mini for a friend, second to last. These war machine minis have great detail and I am pretty happy with the results. Please C&C away all feedback welcomed and enjoyed, ;).

Primed and ready to go. Rough spots here and there but... it's too rubbery to sand. Ah well. Just need to become a better sculptor I guess.

Just to stop people thinking I don't paint Reaper models, here are two additional Orcs I have been slowly painting, I may have got a bit keen on these models (purchased 2 Orcpocalypse sets !!) The detail is a bit soft but they are more then ideal for tabletop monsters. As always comments welcome.

Last one done for the weekend! Yes, that is a banana in his pocket. He's probably still happy to see you, though. I'm happy with how all the colours turned out on him, but he's leaning slightly forward on his base so it's a bit tricky to get a good photo angle.

I guess next time I see Patrick Keith I'll have to ask him why a sniper dresses like this... She was fun though. Very cute Patrick :)
