  1. Hey all, Mods if this is not acceptable please feel free to delete. I started a new project. last week. I bought the mini at a game store that I go to to paint with Ludo. I had another friend give me more minis... so I am turning this what was going to be just the one, into an army. I am still working on this one, but I thought you all might like to see it. Anyways here is the Commander:
  2. I've been teasing this project way longer than I should have. I honestly just kept forgetting to pick up some lasguns. Really that's all that delayed this project for so long. But before we jump into it I figured I'd give a little context to the project. As the lore says some humans have defected leaving the Imperium of man and joining the Tau. Though I don't know a ton of Tau players every one I have met has at least one unit of human defectors in their army. My friend is no exception to this, but as I play Guard exclusively he really likes to point them out every chance he gets.
  3. Here are some Tau (or T'au) killteam members I painted them up for my hubby so he and I can play :D
  4. So I've had a Tau force since the large scale Armageddon event/stuff pretty much happened a good ten years ago, and it's been in a state of "left on the side in the boxes" for a while now.... While I'd love to wrap up my Catachans first, I wound up starting on the Tau simply because I had a few ideas for them come to mind and figured I'd give it a go, and hopefully come up with a cohesive colouration by the time it's all said and done Most of the assembled minis were spray primered in black years ago, and I'm not really a fan of black as my primer anymore (I switched to light grey
  5. So the theme of today is "Does SigmaOne need a highlighting intervention?" I started this guy a couple of weeks ago, mostly because I didn't care about the figure that much (at first) and I haven't done a mini in a while, so I wanted something to brush-up with. Now I care enough that I want it too look decent. The skin is (was?) intended to be complete, aside from cleaning up its border. I felt pretty good about the highlighting and shading of the skin the day I did it. Coming back to it two weeks later I see a few things that certainly should be touched up, but I'm wondering whether or not i
  6. This is a sad story, kind of... About 4 years ago I was just getting into Warhammer 40k and I was the Tau army... I decided to make a piece of terrain I could (justifiably) put in almost every scenario as a fall back point. The story behind it was that the Tau would drop it from orbit and would automatically provide cover and intel., etc. Its was only allow in large scale skirmishes - counting as points in my army. Worked great, I could fall back behind it and shoot through the one way windows and it had a drone that could detach from it and follow around if things got too harry. Alas,
  7. First post here, started painting my new (GW) Tau army while I wait for my bones. Took me a while to figure out a color scheme I liked, sticking to this one, though I might play a little with the color of the backpack. Its tabletop quality :) What do you guys think?
  8. This is another friend request. He asked me to paint these (3) figures (wizards, I guess???) for his Tau Empire (Warhammer 40K). He requested the "high gloss" finish. He was happy with the results. I still don't have any clue as to who/what Tau are!!!
