So I just got a metric ton o' plastic. Tanks, CAVs, tons of scenery! So DAMN excited. But... There's a lot. Any of y'all with game experience want to enlighten me on what would be a fun few models to start with, so I could get a game going soon-ish? Like, would you build all four of a CAV (just in case you didn't back this one: you get four of each model in your order) or four different CAVs? When would you ever field four at a time? I'll probably build all four vehicles of each type because they'll build fast and look really cool. The CAVs will take more time to paint, so any advice on which ones I should build first to get a fun, casual game on would be most appreciated!

This is a bust from El Greco: Deus Vult / Militi Christi. I painted him as a Knight Hospitaller. Learned a lot on the way. There are a few white specks in the pics, I was taking them outside and this is actually not there. Also there is more depth than the pics show, some shadows are washed out by the camera. WIP here: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/85635-deus-vult-militi-christi-bust-by-glitterwolf/ This one is going to be shipped off as a present to a certain person. It will be a surprise and I wonder how it will be received. Here he is.

Another buddy wanted a down and dirty mini for his paladin. He asked for everything silver except the shield, which would be Templar style white with Red Cross. I had a very short time to paint and tried a bit of directional iridescence bc the armor glows purple when around hellborne demons and the like. Not my best work for sure, but it was a funny mini (why is there a bird on his head?) so thought I’d share a speed painted tabletop mini. Enjoy! Also, I’m interested in getting him back and finishing him up after Thanksgiving, so let me know how you would handle an “imperceptible purple glow, without losing the silvery plate look”... :)

I finished my first miniature...sort of...maybe...The Templar Sergeant...In my effort to leave him looking dirty, his tunic just turned out looking like a crappy dry brushing...I need to let him be for a few days and just look at him and see if it grows on me, or if I'll go ahead and correct the tunic...struggled with his buckles, too...very small...Overall I'm really happy with my first miniature effort...and I'd definitely say I've got the bug...really enjoying the process! I really did nothing with the base, as this is not his final resting place... Thanks Ben

Hi, Maybe someone can help me a bit. I ordered this bust. It will take a while before I paint it, bit already I'm considering possibilities. He is sold as a Teutonic Knight, I love the yellow/black cross with the eagle, but am not sure if I can pull it off. Considering the colours shown I want to ask : 1. Is it viable to paint the cape brown instead of white? 2. The red Innerhelmet..Would that be metal or leather? And my most important question 3. I know of the Knights Templar, White Livery with Red Cross, The Hospitallers , Black with white Cross and sometimes Red with white cross. But could I choose any of these colours? I was wondering if the helmet he's holding is a distinctive Teutonic one or if the other orders wore these too. I tried googling and am a history fan. But I'm not sure about this. Any thoughts from the people who are more into this period?

This week I painted Kyra, Iconic Cleric, from the Bones I Iconics II Pathfinder Miniatures set. She looked to me to be suitably clothed for adventures in a cold environment; so, since I am short on Templar type figures for Frostgrave, I decided to paint her as such a figure for my Frostgrave collection. Unfortunately, this is one of the figures from the Bones I Kickstarter that ended up with nose issues. For gaming purposes this doesn't bother me too much, and a nice heavily highlighted nose paint job helps hide the fact that she barely has one; though you can tell there still isn't something right about it...

I did this commission tonight for my D&D party's cleric, and figured I'd post it here. He doesn't have thumbs!

So, I have received cerebro1974 as my exchangee, and his wishes were to obtain some NPCs for his campaign. He's given me some ideas and here's what I'm running with: Templars of the Order of the Wind: "I do not have much detail filled out on the order, other than their standard is three diagonal lines," Well, not much to go on there, so I selected a few minis that could be knights or templars: Sir Malcom: Unforgiven, Crusaders Grunt: Sir Malcom will be the recipient of a spare shield that I have lying around, since his shield is not-quite-right for the design of the Order of the Wind's standard. The other two minis I'll be painting up are for the Sun Priests: "and the Sun templars only given description so far has been "ornate"" Hmm...Again, not much to go off of, but I have ideas. I've ordered two minis, and have a third on hand. The one on hand is a given, and I'll be choosing between the other two once I get them in hand, and see what I have to work with. Sora Goldflame, Female Cleric: Christina the Devout: Both have their merits, and I like both for this project for different reasons. Sora is more dynamic and action-y, but Christina has a more innocent look, and I like the lantern. As for the one I have on hand: Sir Ekkrion Ganis, Paladin of the Wall Sir Ekkrion, here, will be having his Menofixes removed and replaced with some sun iconography. EDIT: Just so everyone knows, I won't actually be able to start painting until this Friday or Saturday (22 or 23 May). I'm at the gathering input stage right now.

This mini is titled 14352: Unforgiven, Crusader Grunt, but I swear on the blister it said Templar Knight or something. This guy was sitting on the rack at my LGS for months, and I felt sorry for him. So I bought him. I originally painted him up for one of the PCs in my OD&D game. But the character died before I finished painting D: This is my most recent mini, so please give me all your comments and criticism you can spare! Painted with Vallejo, he seems a bit dark to me. It was REALLY HARD to paint the decals on his shoulder and on his front because the consistency of thinned paint is just too watery and goes into the cracks instead of on the ridges. Sorry I couldn't get you a good camera shot from other angles. Tips truly appreciated. MG
