Good day everyone, here are pictures of 77105, Kagunk "Voorhees" the Ogre Chieftain sculpted by Tre Manor. This is the Bones version of the model. I added the axe blade on its spiked club, mounted it on a 2 inches square base and painted it with Reaper MSP paint.

Hi everyone, after sitting five months on the shelf, that being the projet (not me) I finally found time to complete my Gnolls display base. The base is 7.25 inches x 11 inches wide. Here are some pictures. Other pictures of the Gnolls can be found here.

It has been a while since I painted anything. A combination of my arms acting up again and my just not feeling it. Call it the recurring fallow season. So I am getting back on track with some Orcs. These are partly from the first Bones kickstarter and partly from the third. All together a nice band of 10. There are nine different orcs that are variants made on only two basic bodies, plus a singular warchief that I think fits in with the lot of them. I originally based them on 40mm round bases with sloped edges, the thinner-than-citadel knockoff ones. But there was always something not quite right about them, the bases were simply too large for the minis. So off they came. I ended up with making 37mm 3D-printed ones instead. I think they fit well on these minis. lots of pictures below

Hi everyone, here are pictures of my Gnoll hunting party. All of them are Reaper Miniatures Gnolls, painted with Reaper Master Series Paints. I added the archer's bowstring and converted two models (see last picture). I will now work on a display base for them.

Hi everyone, here are pictures of my latest Gnoll, a converted Toghra the Gnoll Leader. The upper part is from 77235, Toghra the Gnoll Leader sculpted by Jason Wiebe. The lower part of the mini is 77236, Bloodmane Gnoll Warrior sculpted by Tre Manor. The spear head is the blade of 02757, Gastaroth the Vampire sculpted by Werner Klocke and the staff is from 14056 Weapon Pack 1 sculpted by Tim Kaufman. Hi everyone, here's another 77236, Bloodmane Gnoll Warrior. The original version this time. This model was sculpted by Tre Manor. 77236, Bloodmane the Gnoll Warrior and his friend 77234 Boneflail the Gnoll Cleric.

In pursuit of my goal, here is another Gnoll that I finished painting last night. This 77234, Boneflail female Gnoll Cleric was sculpted by Tre Manor. In spite of their devotion to Yeenoghu, few Gnolls have any interest in ritual and there is few clerics or shamans to be found among the savage packs. Gnolls would sometimes summon demons to fight alongside them.

Hi everyone, here are some pictures of a converted Reaper Miniatures, Bloodmane the Gnoll Warrior. The upper part of the miniature is 77236, Bloodmane Gnoll Warrior sculpted by Tre Manor, the lower part is from 77235, Toghra the Gnoll Leader sculpted by Jason Wiebe and the bear skull axe is from the 14056, Weapon Pack 1 sculpted Tim Kaufman. The Hyenas are from 03277 Hyena Pack sculpted by Jason Wiebe.

I tried making them similar, yet dissimilar in a variety of small ways. They all have irregular freckles on the shoulders and upper arms, and I painted the horns light to dark, or dark to light.

Tre Manor is still working to fulfill his Warbands of the Dark Beyond across the pond, but I painted up the zombies to be a higher grade of zombie for my dnd game. I got the chaos bases at ReaperCon and wanted them to look like they were fueled with necrotic energy further powering the zombies!!

Hi everyone, I recently had the pleasure of realizing that I inadvertently bought the same Gnoll model twice. So, I decided to convert two of them to create a little variety in my hunting party. Read the text under each picture to have more detail. This post was purposely written as a guide for any who would like to try their hands at converting Reaper Bones model or any other models. I used two 77236 Bloodmane the Gnoll Warrior sculpted by Tre Manor, 77235 Toghra the Gnoll Leader sculpted by Jason Wiebe and 14056 Weapon Pack 1 sculpted by Tim Kaufman. I first separated the dagger handle from the body. Just a simple notch did the trick. I then cut the trunk along the belt. Again, on the other side of the model, I cut the body following the belt as a guide. I have this hollow feeling in my stomach... Same thing for Toghra, cut the body along the belt line. I drilled a hole in Toghra’s lower section and cut a small nail to pin the two parts together. I drilled a hole in Bloodmane’s upper body section and tested the pin in. I glued the pin in the leg part. I’m using Gorilla Super Glue. I then removed the handaxe cutting the handle just above the fist. I keep it for later use. The tricky part is to drill a hole in straight line through the fist. I had to use a small drill bit, smaller than the new weapon handle not to tear the plastic. I used a slightly bigger drill bit to get the hole a little larger. After cleaning the mold line on the new weapon, I cut the handle in halves in order to keep the pommel intact. I had to use a file to reduce the diameter of the handle. Also, I removed two spikes from the shield to alter its aspect from the one the other Gnoll Worrior is wearing. Finally, I’m using a piece of wooden stick to adjust the posture of the model on its base. I often use this simple trick to level my models. I use super glue to fix the parts together. I’m using 40mm round base for the Gnoll. These models are large and even if there in game space size is 25mm, I personally prefer larger base to have more room for decoration. That’s it, I’ll need to fill the gap above the belt and along the shoulder. I’ll also be using Greenstuff to fill the gap and complete the base before cleaning everything with soft soap and water prior to painting. I added some notches on the cutting edge of the original Gnoll’s plastic axe. I’ll be using it as a battlefield wreck weapon to decorate the base.

Hi everyone, here is a group picture of my Bugbear raiding party. I painted most of them last year and mounted them on 40mm diameter base last week. These are all Reaper Miniatures models; 77233 Kegg the Bugbear Hunter, 02603, Skrug the Bugbear Shaman, 77015 Bugbear Warrior, 77232 Mogg the Bugbear Warrior and 77231 Rugg the Bugbear Leader. They were all sculpted by Tre Manor, except for Skrug the Bugbear Shaman that was Sculpted by Ben Siens. I used Reaper's MSP acrylic paint.

"Bliss" Needed a civilian type for a game, and this was the best I find in my lead mountain. Dunno why, but I keep seeing him as one of those beer-making monks carrying a keg on his back. So I painted him as one who just "sampled" the merchandise and really liked the sample. The nose and cheeks were more "ruddy" IRL but doesn't show up well in the pictures. There is a lightish line at the top of the belly where I tried to repair the paint job after accidently flicking some dark wash on it. The line isn't really visible IRL but clearly seen in the pictures. Thanks for looking. *Edit And if something looked odd with my montage, it's because the second picture got flipped when I was joining the four of them together. Just noticed this.

This is Hasslefree HFD104 Drya Lafhelgasdottir, sculpted by Tre Manor, and not, as I identified all through the WIP thread, a Red Box Games dwarf. I think I was confused because she was by Tre Manor. She is also the last, the seventh, of the dwarves I painted for the project "Jade Green and Seven Dwarfs," an effort both to get some dwarves painted up for general gaming use, and to make a group of Jadeborn for a game of Exalted. I think this is my favorite sculpt (at least top 5). I’ve had it for quite some time now but for whatever reason it never got to the front of the line. Recently I thought “what the hell” and put him into the paint queue. I have been struggling for quite some time with trying OSL. Every attempt ended with me calling it quits and discarding that element from the paint scheme. This is the second one that I decided to keep (the first one is the two skulls from the bones cultist circle). I’m really happy with the overall result.

“OK, so the Fireball spell didn’t work that well. Any other ideas Owl?” “Hoo!? You asking me!? I’m just an owl.” Probably my last mini for the year. Wasn’t planning on painting the cloak brown since it sorta merges with the hair and owl, but a slight accident forced it on me. I like the way it turned out tough. Thanks for looking.

This will be mostly Oathmark Goblins but I've also got some of Tre's Bones orcs for the bigger warriors and also some Bones Ogres that will serves as trolls. By LotR inspired I mostly mean that they won't be bright green. I've already painted some of GW's Fenrisian Wolves to be the Wargs. The blond one and the little black one were inspired by my brother's dogs. My nephews totally missed the joke when they fought against these guys in our D&D game. So disappointing... I'm trying to work out how to do the orcs skin. I'm trying to match the Green Ocher scheme I used on my 10mm orcs. First attempt: Second attempt was using Sepia liner as the shade color. It also has brighter highlights but the gloss sealer basically simulates that in the first photo.

I was using this to try a different skin color which I like and I believe I was going to do a bit more detailed TMM but got side tracked. After several months of no work on him, I decided to get him "done" to tabletop level. Here are some shaky iPad photos. C&C welcome.

Here are 8 of my 16 Bones orcs. I cut each figure off of their broccoli base and used my Basius basing pads to create custom bases. Additionally, I did some kit-bashing with plastic weapons from the Bones 3 Kickstarter. I swapped the two-handed sword from the Orc Berserker for an axe which I envisioned him taking from an elf or dwarf. For the Orc Hunter, I cut off his spear and swapped out a mace and dagger combo since I felt like he could pull off a rogue look. In my DND world, 90% of orcs are olive green skinned, and 10% are of a subrace known as Dreadnaught Orcs. This breed of orc has purple-hued skin tones due to magical enhancement by mages from a long-forgotten war. They're smarter, tougher, and have innate magical abilities. I went for a variety of skin tones to try and make them look more unique.
