  1. Presenting Nimble, another member of the gang of Urkins that make up the bulk of the Dickensian faction from the game Twisted. He's got a pretty bad mold-line on his bare foot that I just couldn't get to, luckily it's hard to see. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  2. Presenting the Gentlefolk Highwaywoman from the Servants of the Engine faction in the game Twisted. Originally a robotic housemaid, she gained self-awareness and now robs from the rich to keep herself fuelled. A lot of fun to paint but I think I was a bit messy in places. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  3. Presenting Sowerberry, the ghostly undertaker of the Dickensian faction from the game Twisted. Had a lot of fun painting him, particularly all his clocks, but I don't think I'll bother making any more stamped greenstuff bases, I just can't get them looking even semi-decent. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  4. Here are 4 twisted wire trees I made. Three of them use moss from a craft store package, one used Woodland Scenics foliage. They all use Vallejo Earth Texture, Woodland Scenics scrubery, and Army Painter Lowland Shrubs. Here is is an average wizard under a tree for size reference:
  5. Presenting Porker and Library Owl:- Porker:- Library Owl:- A pair of Urkins who are part of the Dickensian faction of the game Twisted, they're also in my Steampunk People WIP thread. They were a lot of fun to paint, which is good because I have quite a few more to do! As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  6. Presenting Gretel (and her monkey Hansel) a revenge-seeking witch-hunter and part of the Servants of the Engine faction from the game Twisted. She can also be found in my Steampunk People WIP thread. Super happy with how this one turned out, particularly little Hansel! As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  7. Presenting the Gentlefolk Blacksmith, a heavy-hitting Servant of the Engine from the game Twisted. He's part of my Steampunk People WIP thread. Been looking forward to painting this one for ages (mainly because he resembles Tick-Tock from Return to Oz, that's also why he's mostly bronze). Unfortunately, I did attach his chimney a little skewed, but I think I'm liking how it looks. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  8. Was going to be good and get some half-painted stuff finished, but I couldn't resist the steam-powered siren song of my Twisted minis. Since I'm going to be working on these for the foreseeable future, I thought I'd WIP them in batches:- In this first batch, you've got two Urkins (Porker and Bookworm) at the front and (from left to right) Sowerberry, Gentlefolk Blacksmith and Gretel at the back. Starting with the Blacksmith, not pictured - his chimney backpack. So far I've basecoated his body in Bronze and given it a Brownshade Wash. Next time, I go crazy with a drybrush.
  9. Presenting Bill Sykes (and Bullseye!), leader of the Dickensian faction from the game Twisted. Going back to painting true-scale minis, and rather detailed ones at that, proved harder than I thought it would, but I think I did a decent job. I just wish my varnish hadn't left Bills coat so shiny. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  10. Been looking forward to working on some more Twisted minis for a long time (basically ever since I crushed Nightingale trying to assemble her, and realized I was just too clumsy to work with fragile resin minis any more), I'm starting with Bill Sykes and Bullseye:- Weren't as hard to assemble as I feared they might be, just letting the primer dry overnight and I can start painting!
  11. Presenting a Steampunk Nikola Tesla, wearing a snazzy mecha-suit. This is my 2nd finished mini of the year (though technically I started him last year), and has a small WIP here. Not too happy with this one, found it difficult to really do anything special with all the machine parts and quickly lost interest in him. I do think his trousers and face came out pretty good though. As always any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  12. The steampunk bug continues to bite hard! Decided to try one of my new Twisted minis, before I end up with an intimidatingly large pile of them, choose Dodger:- I hate it when they insist on making you cut those tiny, fragile pieces from great, big, giant lumps of sprue. As expected, removing him from the sprue cost him part of his scarf and coat, but I managed to do an okay job of repairing them. I also managed to assemble him slightly wrong looking at the official pics, apparently he's supposed to be aiming forward. Did his skin with a 1:1 Vallejo Dwarf Flesh/Vallejo Flat Flesh scheme. Also managed to get his teeth and eyes (no pupils though, they're too tiny!). Started on his hair with Palomino Gold.
