  1. Hello Rotten Friends! If you liked the last campaign, I think that you may be interested in the coming one -> The ROTTEN MMXXII! A lot of new cool cooperations, new miniatures, and awesome projects to come! Please remember to sign up for the coming project: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rottenfactory/rotten-mmxxii And to keep an eye on rotten social media to be up to date with all the news. :) FACEBOOK INSTAGRAM TWITTER Cheers, Pawel
  2. I will paint and create a Reptilian Army pure for fun. It will consists of many different kind of Reptiles and Amphibians. Mostly Snakemen, Lizardmen, Frogmen, Dragonmen, Turtlemen, Fishmen, Dinosaurs and Insects. I will happily include any monster I think will fit. A Tarrasque will be the centrepiece at some sort as the Living Lizard God. I do not play any games, so this will be pure for my own and (I hope your) fun to create. EDIT: The above was my original plan, over time and thanks to the comments made by other Forumites, this has developed into a story. This resulted in more Factions I wanted to build and paint, so this Project now also includes Pirates, Conquistadores, Native Warriors based on Inca/Aztec/Maya cultures. EDIT: And now it will also include Undead! *********** Captain Luigiano and his army had been travelling through the jungle for weeks now. The sunlight was blocked by the dense canopy of trees. Some of the men had contracted fever, and those darn mosquitos were a big nuisance! He looked at the golden plaque he had obtained. Gold, with a snakeman made out of gems on it. With this he had convinced the men to follow him. Somewhere in this accursed jungle there was a city made of gold, he was sure of it. They would conquer this city and become rich beyond belief. He looked at his army, they even had a few cannons. Nothing would stop them! Finally they reached a clearance. The men were pleased, at least they could see the sun again. They took a rest and a drink, tended to the sick. Suddenly they heard a loud roar from the other side of the clearing. Birds flew away, trees where falling! Some poison darts flew and two soldiers fell, they died before they hit the ground. A loud roar and an enormous terrifying Lizard appeared. One soldier died out of fear from just looking at it. Then the Reptilian Horde emerged from the Jungle. **************************
  3. I started out with an Egyptian Undead faction in my Lost World but it didn't feel right. http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/ After some good advice from @malefactus I decided to move the Eygptians to their own thread. The first one is my Mummy Captain. Now working on a Grenadier Undead Rhino Captive Carrier with a Bones Priestess as Crew
  4. A Reaper Wraith from Bones V WIP HERE: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-night-by-glitterwolf/ Finally got my mojo back and finished a mini again. *********** The one we all like to avoid, but in the end, he'll be there. Oh look, see how the sand has fallen? It's time, don't be afraid, it'll be quick, he's quite handy with that scythe, then again he had centuries to practice.. **************
  5. Hi all! These minis were close enough in theme I thought I'd post them together. First up: Demi-lich This simple but effective demilich was completed during a two hour speedpaint on Saturday and then touched up briefly on Sunday morning when I had better light. It isn't perfect (I'm sure I missed a bone or two), but I really like the end result quite a lot; a worthy addition to the collection. These guys are really an understated evil. I'm sure they are so lethal because unlike virtually everything else in D&D they dont telegraph how nasty they are. "Tiny floating skull, big deal" -ZAP! Speaking of tiny floating skulls: Flameskull swarm! I needed a flameskull for LMoP and I naturally went completely overboard. I realize that a swarm of flameskulls this size would be absolutely devastating to nearly any unprepared party. Perfect! FYI I had to scale the files down quite a bit (these are mounted on 15mm, 20mm and 30mm bases), but they are pretty sturdy. I realize going with a standard fire palate on them isn't "canon," but I wanted them to look hot & fiery, and I was already planning on painting the demilich above and I didn't want them to be too similar in style.
  6. One of my favorite Fantasy races are the Undead, followed by Chaos and Reptilians. I already have my Lost World Project which tells a tale of Conquistadores, Reptilians, Dinosaurs, and a lot more. And has some Undead in Jungle and or Pirate style in it. My Shifting Sands project is all about Undead, Arabian and Egyptian style Undead. This thread will be filled with my beloved Gothic Undead, Demons, Monsters and all things that go bump in the night. In my Lost World Project I tell an ongoing story, here I will post about all other dark things without coherency. There might be snippets of loose stories to accompany a mini or not... I hope you guys and gals and creatures will like it. Let's kick off with the critters I painted a while ago to get a feel of what is coming. Enjoy! ( or not) Bats and a Murder of Crows EDIT: I will include some Bones and minis. The bulk will be metal and I want to give the project an oldschool vibe/. Preferred minis will be, Reaper, Grenadier, Ral Partha, Rafm, Metal Magic, Otherworld and Early Citadel. The Asian Undead will be from Zenith since I backed the Kensei Undead Samurai KS and will get their own thread. ( Nippon, Land of the Rising Moon) and the Egyptian ones are in Shifting Sands Project) EDIT: Since the 3D printing bug bit me, the bulk will probably become 3d printed now. EDIT - Asked to merge my Undead Threads into one. Now CHILDREN of the NIGHT. This is for all the Ghotic Undead and their friends like Werewolves/Witches/Demons and the Witchunters and Zealots who fight them etc etc.. Eldessa Necromancer Ral Partha Female Vampire Lurien and Aysa Bat Demon
  7. My stash will arrive today! I haven't done a WIP in a very long time , something I intend to remedy. I am extremely excited to get my hands on my contribution to Bones 5, the Whispering Ghoulsbane. Maybe more so than any prior piece I have made. Seeing as how I don't actually have the mini in had at this moment, Id thought I'd fill this space with some history about the concept. I like to watch reviews for feedback on pieces I've made (and learned a lot). A few review waffled on what the thing was, exactly. Part of me revels in this ambiguity -it is what you want it to be. That said it does have a mundane monster origin story.......wait, say, lets make a game of it! Which "old school" monster served as the primary inspiration for the Whispering Ghoulsbane? take a guess. Wait wait wait! it's here, at this very moment! Delivery! let the prepping begin. Step 1: Open the bag. That is all for now.
  8. Inspired by the weekend question, I took some pictures of the army thus far and found that posting it in the question thread would be excessive, also that I didn't have an ongoing thread for my largest painted army so here it is. The plan is to get my Shelf of Incompleteion cleared off then work on reinforcements for this alongside my Old School Undead army. Here we have the Pumpkin construct unit led by a Storybook Witch from Old Glory. I have 3 more of her, but the bag only came with the one flight stand and the Reaper ones I have don't fit, when I get around that, they'll form their own unit. Behind her is Rotpatch, and the scarecrow is hanging out with these guys until I can get a couple more. The constructs are filling the slot of core infantry. Here is a Ral Partha Witch leading the Pumpkin Knight heavy infantry consisting of the Halloween Knight and converted Barrow Wardens. Willow Greenivy leading the skeletal Pumpkin Guard. 10 newer GW skeletions and a variety of Reaper Bones. Elise with the Pumpkin Chucker and some Bones skeletal archers providing ranged support. A female Necromancer and the Etherial Legion of ghosts and wraiths. An Iconic Witch, Pumpkin Spider, and friends. A converted Brettonian Sorceress with the skeletal heavy infantry. Basically, what happens when adventurers irritate the witches. Bats, wolves, and allied vampires. Another vampire and werewolf allies. Zombies, ghouls, and another Reaper Witch. Beastmen and hell hounds with an infernalist witch.
  9. Kid is super obsessed with "Scary Flying Shark" and zombies so I'm doing thr next best thing and painting the zombie shark. This is by necessity a quick paint. Started with priming last night
  10. Hey everyone, I'm still painting decorative elements for future D&D sessions. Here is a 77722, Sealed Sarcophagus sculpted by Bob Ridolfi. Pretty sure something ancient or someone evil is trapped in this sarcophagus. Sometimes certain things should not be disturbed.
  11. 3dprinted Draugr Warrior on my Elegoo Mars: Design - Draugr Warrior -Artisan Guild Design-Base-Txarli Factory Part of my Undead Project https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-night-by-glitterwolf/page/27/#comments ******************* In the cold North, falling in battle doesn't always mean eternal rest. You could find yourself raising from the snow, still covered in blood from both your enemies and you, a strange voice in your head just gives you a command and you have no choice but to follow the orders. You stumble forward, raising your sword, you try to understand the situation but can't think straight, then you get a view of the enemy, the order is clear and you move forwards hacking the enemy to pieces, it's a shame though that they're your former friends, somehow you no longer care. ********************
  12. Design: Giant Raven - Artisan Guild ( Shadowclaws ftom their Thieves Set) Skeleton Rider - Printyourmonsters Base: Real rocks and a Celtic Cross from GreenstuffWorld. All printed on my Elegoo Mars. WIP HERE: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-night-by-glitterwolf/page/26/ Part of Valdr Hrafna's Draughr Army with a strong Raven/Crow theme.
  13. Painted up some scatter terrain to go with the Undead Army. All printed on my Elegoo Mars. PrintYourMonsters - Cannibal Feast Branches 3x, Ancient Cannibal Stone. Printed Obsession - Skull Pile from Hell Hath No Fury Set. Part of my Children of the Night Project. WIP: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-night-by-glitterwolf/page/27/#comments ********************* It's easy to see where the Undead have been, ghastly thropies, remnants of unholy meals and sacrificial stones are left in it's wake. Unnatural fires and strange apparitions are seen as well, better stay clear of this corrupted land. ********************* Added yellow to the green flames. Before/After:
  14. Hi all! How do you do? Here are three egyptian skeletons from Otherworld Miniatures. They serve as basic enemies for my egyptian fantasy adventures.
  15. Helo All, Here is a 77725Sandkings "Mummy" I completed earlier this year. Thank you for looking.
  16. Just some bulk skeletons...nothing special. The spears were pretty bent when I got them. I worked with them a little to straighten them out, but figured I wouldn't spend too much time driving myself crazy (these were cheapies, after all 🙂). The detail on these guys is fairly soft, but they get the job done on the table. Sorry for the quality on the group shot. Wide shots aren't my camera phone's specialty.
  17. EDIT - This is now going to be somewhere I dump all my Reaper projects while (hopefully) not causing chaos by misusing the Show Off section. I'll pop finished miniatures that are individually worth looking at over there, too. My first post on the Reaper Forum, so please be nice! Not 100% sure where to post this as it falls into several categories. but here it is anyway - my Reaper Bones Hill Giant "Tribe" and their hillside display base. I posted these in my regular Warhammer forum but they are too far removed from WFB to gain much interest, so I thought I'd share them here in their "proper" home. I've always painted miniatures with the "excuse" that they will be used to play games with, whether that be D&D or Warhammer or anything in between, so my emphasis is on table-ready minis rather than masterpieces. This is one of the first projects I've done without a clear gaming purpose, but because I'm a gamer at heart I still needed to put everything on individual bases for two reasons - 1 - "just in case" a gaming use comes up 2 - because gaming bases excuses a gaming paint job! I decided on hex bases because I liked the way they tessellate The paint scheme, choice of pets and landscape are inspired by my AD&D days, I'm constantly trying to recapture my youth! (Glad to say that Reaper Bones have finally made this sort of project practical and affordable, and I hope to follow it with similar projects using the other trad D&D Giant races.) All 11 miniatures used (and the 11th is very hard to spot in these two pictures!) are from Reaper, mostly Bones. There are a few relatively simple conversions, mostly so I could use two pairs of giants without them being identical. The major scenic elements (trees and rocks) are made from errr real trees and real rocks, while almost all of the greenery is from a range of suppliers (Citadel, Army Painter and so on) I tried to position all of the models so that they are focused on something located just in front of the scene - presumably, a party of hostile adventurers! I don't want to drown people in images, but if there is interest I can post individual pictures of each giant and some WIP pictures of the project, as well as the identity of that 11th miniature...
  18. I have this nautical thread here where I focus on creatures from the Deep, both fictional and real. Since I don't want to clutter that thread with too many pirates or a whole new army I will make a separate thread for those here. My thread for the creatures of the Seas: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/88958-beneath-the-waves-by-glitterwolf/page/6/ Recently I've been playing Total Warhammer II again, especially with the Awakened a Vampire Coast Army. While playing this I started to think, could I create such an army with minis? Well, since I have acquired a lot of 3D files lately, yes I can. Especially with a little creative freedom since I only paint and build for fun and don't actually play the tabletop game. So instead of just zombie pirates, there will also be skeleton pirates and mutated ones with shark/crab/tentacle features. There will be other pirates and such also in this thread. For starters I will focus on the Vampire Coast Army as seen in Total Warhammer II and in earlier White Dwarf Magazines. I paint slowly, I have loads of projects so it will take a while. Bear with me please. Some files I have that will be suitable for a Rotting Leviathan, A Necrofex Colossus and Undead Pirate Mob etc. More later.
  19. 3D Printed on my Elegoo Mars Design: Great Grimoire - Shaman Design of the base: Asgard Rising - Conifere Base added some leaves. In my Children of the Night she's the or one of the Witches of the Western Woods. Calling upon foul creatures of the Dark Woods and the spirits of those who found their demise there she will join the Evil Crusade against Men. WIP here: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-night-by-glitterwolf/page/24/
  20. Hello All, Here is a Bones USA 07034 "Grave Wraith" I completed last week. Thank you for looking.
  21. Hello All, Here is a "Dust King and Crypt" miniature set I completed a few weeks ago. Thank you for looking.
  22. Hello All, Here is a recent work. "Male Revenant" 77301. I did change out the head. I removed the original head and replaced it with a skull. The skull was pinned in place. When I first saw the miniature, it made me think of the old Scooby Doo cartoon villains. So, I painted the skull to look like it is glowing a bit with glowing pinpoint eyes. Thank you for looking.
  23. I started this little side project in my Children of the Night WIP. Models are from Freebooter Miniatures ( Werne Klocke) the Crypt is from Minimonsters, Gravestone is from Greenstuffworld, the stairs are made of foam. WIP: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-night-by-glitterwolf/ ********************* Ahhh Love... When you find the right person it's forever. And by that I mean FOREVER!!!! Here's Mr. Mort, He's found his eternal love, and every year on the day they met he brings her a rose and ask her to be his girl once again. Her beautiful blond hair, her lovely smile, how could he resist? And every year, she plays along, holding him off for a short while and then agrees to be his girl, forever and ever. *********************
  24. Design ClayCyanide- Vukodlak Fighter 3D Printed on my Elegoo Mars Scaled up 150% to increase the size. Base Resin from Microart Studios. Part of my Children of the Night Project: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-night-by-glitterwolf/page/25/#comments ***************** When the Moon is full sensible folks stay indoors keeping a silver weapon close. Of course there are always non-believers, that's what the Vukodlak likes most. Tender meat... ****************
  25. Design Great Grimoire Base Design CastnPlay. Printed on my Elegoo Mars ( basic but still going strong!) This is the first Zombie Deckhand for my Vampire Coast Army WIP here: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/97971-vampire-coast-army-and-other-pirates/page/2/#comments
