  1. EDIT - This is now going to be somewhere I dump all my Reaper projects while (hopefully) not causing chaos by misusing the Show Off section. I'll pop finished miniatures that are individually worth looking at over there, too. My first post on the Reaper Forum, so please be nice! Not 100% sure where to post this as it falls into several categories. but here it is anyway - my Reaper Bones Hill Giant "Tribe" and their hillside display base. I posted these in my regular Warhammer forum but they are too far removed from WFB to gain much interest, so I thought I'd share them here in their "proper" home. I've always painted miniatures with the "excuse" that they will be used to play games with, whether that be D&D or Warhammer or anything in between, so my emphasis is on table-ready minis rather than masterpieces. This is one of the first projects I've done without a clear gaming purpose, but because I'm a gamer at heart I still needed to put everything on individual bases for two reasons - 1 - "just in case" a gaming use comes up 2 - because gaming bases excuses a gaming paint job! I decided on hex bases because I liked the way they tessellate The paint scheme, choice of pets and landscape are inspired by my AD&D days, I'm constantly trying to recapture my youth! (Glad to say that Reaper Bones have finally made this sort of project practical and affordable, and I hope to follow it with similar projects using the other trad D&D Giant races.) All 11 miniatures used (and the 11th is very hard to spot in these two pictures!) are from Reaper, mostly Bones. There are a few relatively simple conversions, mostly so I could use two pairs of giants without them being identical. The major scenic elements (trees and rocks) are made from errr real trees and real rocks, while almost all of the greenery is from a range of suppliers (Citadel, Army Painter and so on) I tried to position all of the models so that they are focused on something located just in front of the scene - presumably, a party of hostile adventurers! I don't want to drown people in images, but if there is interest I can post individual pictures of each giant and some WIP pictures of the project, as well as the identity of that 11th miniature...
  2. I started out with an Egyptian Undead faction in my Lost World but it didn't feel right. http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/ After some good advice from @malefactus I decided to move the Eygptians to their own thread. The first one is my Mummy Captain. Now working on a Grenadier Undead Rhino Captive Carrier with a Bones Priestess as Crew
  3. Inspired by the weekend question, I took some pictures of the army thus far and found that posting it in the question thread would be excessive, also that I didn't have an ongoing thread for my largest painted army so here it is. The plan is to get my Shelf of Incompleteion cleared off then work on reinforcements for this alongside my Old School Undead army. Here we have the Pumpkin construct unit led by a Storybook Witch from Old Glory. I have 3 more of her, but the bag only came with the one flight stand and the Reaper ones I have don't fit, when I get around that, they'll form their own unit. Behind her is Rotpatch, and the scarecrow is hanging out with these guys until I can get a couple more. The constructs are filling the slot of core infantry. Here is a Ral Partha Witch leading the Pumpkin Knight heavy infantry consisting of the Halloween Knight and converted Barrow Wardens. Willow Greenivy leading the skeletal Pumpkin Guard. 10 newer GW skeletions and a variety of Reaper Bones. Elise with the Pumpkin Chucker and some Bones skeletal archers providing ranged support. A female Necromancer and the Etherial Legion of ghosts and wraiths. An Iconic Witch, Pumpkin Spider, and friends. A converted Brettonian Sorceress with the skeletal heavy infantry. Basically, what happens when adventurers irritate the witches. Bats, wolves, and allied vampires. Another vampire and werewolf allies. Zombies, ghouls, and another Reaper Witch. Beastmen and hell hounds with an infernalist witch.
  4. I will paint and create a Reptilian Army pure for fun. It will consists of many different kind of Reptiles and Amphibians. Mostly Snakemen, Lizardmen, Frogmen, Dragonmen, Turtlemen, Fishmen, Dinosaurs and Insects. I will happily include any monster I think will fit. A Tarrasque will be the centrepiece at some sort as the Living Lizard God. I do not play any games, so this will be pure for my own and (I hope your) fun to create. EDIT: The above was my original plan, over time and thanks to the comments made by other Forumites, this has developed into a story. This resulted in more Factions I wanted to build and paint, so this Project now also includes Pirates, Conquistadores, Native Warriors based on Inca/Aztec/Maya cultures. EDIT: And now it will also include Undead! *********** Captain Luigiano and his army had been travelling through the jungle for weeks now. The sunlight was blocked by the dense canopy of trees. Some of the men had contracted fever, and those darn mosquitos were a big nuisance! He looked at the golden plaque he had obtained. Gold, with a snakeman made out of gems on it. With this he had convinced the men to follow him. Somewhere in this accursed jungle there was a city made of gold, he was sure of it. They would conquer this city and become rich beyond belief. He looked at his army, they even had a few cannons. Nothing would stop them! Finally they reached a clearance. The men were pleased, at least they could see the sun again. They took a rest and a drink, tended to the sick. Suddenly they heard a loud roar from the other side of the clearing. Birds flew away, trees where falling! Some poison darts flew and two soldiers fell, they died before they hit the ground. A loud roar and an enormous terrifying Lizard appeared. One soldier died out of fear from just looking at it. Then the Reptilian Horde emerged from the Jungle. **************************
  5. One of my favorite Fantasy races are the Undead, followed by Chaos and Reptilians. I already have my Lost World Project which tells a tale of Conquistadores, Reptilians, Dinosaurs, and a lot more. And has some Undead in Jungle and or Pirate style in it. My Shifting Sands project is all about Undead, Arabian and Egyptian style Undead. This thread will be filled with my beloved Gothic Undead, Demons, Monsters and all things that go bump in the night. In my Lost World Project I tell an ongoing story, here I will post about all other dark things without coherency. There might be snippets of loose stories to accompany a mini or not... I hope you guys and gals and creatures will like it. Let's kick off with the critters I painted a while ago to get a feel of what is coming. Enjoy! ( or not) Bats and a Murder of Crows EDIT: I will include some Bones and minis. The bulk will be metal and I want to give the project an oldschool vibe/. Preferred minis will be, Reaper, Grenadier, Ral Partha, Rafm, Metal Magic, Otherworld and Early Citadel. The Asian Undead will be from Zenith since I backed the Kensei Undead Samurai KS and will get their own thread. ( Nippon, Land of the Rising Moon) and the Egyptian ones are in Shifting Sands Project) EDIT: Since the 3D printing bug bit me, the bulk will probably become 3d printed now. EDIT - Asked to merge my Undead Threads into one. Now CHILDREN of the NIGHT. This is for all the Ghotic Undead and their friends like Werewolves/Witches/Demons and the Witchunters and Zealots who fight them etc etc.. Eldessa Necromancer Ral Partha Female Vampire Lurien and Aysa Bat Demon
  6. I have this nautical thread here where I focus on creatures from the Deep, both fictional and real. Since I don't want to clutter that thread with too many pirates or a whole new army I will make a separate thread for those here. My thread for the creatures of the Seas: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/88958-beneath-the-waves-by-glitterwolf/page/6/ Recently I've been playing Total Warhammer II again, especially with the Awakened a Vampire Coast Army. While playing this I started to think, could I create such an army with minis? Well, since I have acquired a lot of 3D files lately, yes I can. Especially with a little creative freedom since I only paint and build for fun and don't actually play the tabletop game. So instead of just zombie pirates, there will also be skeleton pirates and mutated ones with shark/crab/tentacle features. There will be other pirates and such also in this thread. For starters I will focus on the Vampire Coast Army as seen in Total Warhammer II and in earlier White Dwarf Magazines. I paint slowly, I have loads of projects so it will take a while. Bear with me please. Some files I have that will be suitable for a Rotting Leviathan, A Necrofex Colossus and Undead Pirate Mob etc. More later.

In my Children of the Night she's the or one of the Witches of the Western Woods. Calling upon foul creatures of the Dark Woods and the spirits of those who found their demise there she will join the Evil Crusade against Men. 8. Hello All, Here is a Bones USA 07034 "Grave Wraith" I completed last week. Thank you for looking.
  9. Hello All, Here is a "Dust King and Crypt" miniature set I completed a few weeks ago. Thank you for looking.
  10. Hello All, Here is a recent work. "Male Revenant" 77301. I did change out the head. I removed the original head and replaced it with a skull. The skull was pinned in place. When I first saw the miniature, it made me think of the old Scooby Doo cartoon villains. So, I painted the skull to look like it is glowing a bit with glowing pinpoint eyes. Thank you for looking.
  11. I started this little side project in my Children of the Night WIP. Models are from Freebooter Miniatures ( Werne Klocke) the Crypt is from Minimonsters, Gravestone is from Greenstuffworld, the stairs are made of foam. WIP: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-night-by-glitterwolf/ ********************* Ahhh Love... When you find the right person it's forever. And by that I mean FOREVER!!!! Here's Mr. Mort, He's found his eternal love, and every year on the day they met he brings her a rose and ask her to be his girl once again. Her beautiful blond hair, her lovely smile, how could he resist? And every year, she plays along, holding him off for a short while and then agrees to be his girl, forever and ever. *********************

  13. Design Great Grimoire Base Design CastnPlay. Printed on my Elegoo Mars ( basic but still going strong!) This is the first Zombie Deckhand for my Vampire Coast Army WIP here: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/97971-vampire-coast-army-and-other-pirates/page/2/#comments
  14. I've been working on this guy for the better part of a month and just finished him tonight. He was a blast to paint, and I'm pretty happy with the finished product. The green wrappings could have probably used some more intense highlighting, but I'm not gonna lose sleep over it. Initially, I wasn't a big fan of the vultures (I put them off until the very last phase of painting). But, one I got some paint in them, they grew on me.
  15. Last year was my best painting year since 2013! I averaged one per week. Despite the enthusiasm with a brush, I have been less engaged with the community than ever. I paint 'em, and then they go to a cabinet never to be seen by another person. Naturally a good number of the pieces I have completed over the year are reaper miniatures, so I'm happy to share a selection of things I have done here. The undead are fun to knock out, and this Minotaur was no exception. They are so forgiving to rough paintwork that they are especially relaxing for brief sessions. Nothing fancy here, but I like it. The weapons on the base come from the reaper sprue from a prior KS.
  16. Definitely one of my favorite inclusions in the Ravenloft board game. Originally, I thought the paint job would be entirely a bone color. After I started prepping him, however, it became clear that there was just as much rotting flesh as there was visible bone. Makes sense, considering the artwork in the monster manual. A quick Google image search shows that people approach this model's paint job in a variety of cool ways. This combines my favorite elements from what I've seen, plus my own spin on the way I like to paint undead/zombie-types.
  17. So, youngest vixen's boyfriend mentioned my hobby when hanging with his friends. They like to play board games etc,. One of his friends asked if I would paint the minis for his Board Game - Dark Souls for him. So...I agreed. He will let me know what he'd like for the bigger monsters. As for the characters and minions, he let me decide ( oh boy, shall I paint a rainbow skeleton?) Anyway, here it goes.
  18. I painted this wraith as part of my Secret Sophie. I worked forever on the sword and it finally clicked and I ended up pretty proud of it.
  19. Hey everyone, here's 02405, D'Mona the Vampire sculpted by Jim Johnson. I went with true metallic paint on the shield and NNM on the armor.
  20. Hey everyone, here's 02221, Morrdha the Vampire Wizard and his imp familiar. This Dark Heaven Legends model was sculpted by Bob Ridolfi.
  21. Simple little speed paint using Citadel Nighthaunt Gloom airbrushed over a grisaille value sketch. . .
  22. 3D printed on my Elegoo Mars. Design Plague Doctor: Great Grimoire. Design Base: CastNPlay Part of my Children of the Night Project. WIP here: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-night-by-glitterwolf/page/23/#comments ***************************** Sometimes at night one can see a dark figure roaming the streets, rumors say that he's been spotted at the cemetary a lot. Others mention they saw him right after a battle, wandering the battlefield searching for something. Nobody knows exactly who he is and what he does, but the sight of his dreadful mask and the fact that he carries a raven around makes people keep their distance from him. Some say he's a good man, helping the Witchhunters, others suspect him to be in league with the Undead, and then there are those who say that he's been collecting body parts for experiments. Dr. Corvus cares not for all of this gossip, it's night, it's time to go out again, only he knows what he's searching for and why. **************************************
  23. Another Ebay find! The base is foamboard, sand, and Vallejo Mud & Grass paint with some Citadel Stirland Battlemire. The model was a ton of fun to paint.
  24. This will be yet another Undead /Demon Army. ( what can I say? I love evil miniatures). This army has an Asian theme. Undead Samurai Oni Asian Dragons Some living Asian Allies. Kirin Hope you will enjoy it. I created a background story for it, it is on page 2. Have fun reading! I will paint slowly and it may take a while, but I'm putting this out here to start. Since I backed Zentih's Kensei Undead KS I have a few of the Undead Samurai and Demons waiting I also have the Grenadier Wind Dragon ( alas without the two humans) and the Grenadier Imperial Dragon of the Eleven Celestial Dynasties And some Living Samurai. Also a nice Asian Graveyard Set. Some stuff that has to get painted soon..
  25. 3D printed on my Elegoo Mars. Design Great Grimoire Moonfox Abomination Part of my Asian themed Project ( Nippon Land of the Rising Moon) WIP here: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79416-nippon-land-of-the-rising-moon-by-glitterwolf/page/17/
