  1. Hello everyone, here are some pictures of a 02126, Arachno-Assassin sculpted by Bob Ridolfi. I had this damaged mini for a long time and I decided to replace its upper left hand falchion for a sword from the 02455, Weapons pack IV. It was a very fun and easy model to paint. I intend to use it as a "boss" in a major encounter, so I painted it in red to increase the focus on it and point out how dangerous it is. The bluish bladed sword will be magical, maybe even cursed.
  2. This will be yet another Undead /Demon Army. ( what can I say? I love evil miniatures). This army has an Asian theme. Undead Samurai Oni Asian Dragons Some living Asian Allies. Kirin Hope you will enjoy it. I created a background story for it, it is on page 2. Have fun reading! I will paint slowly and it may take a while, but I'm putting this out here to start. Since I backed Zentih's Kensei Undead KS I have a few of the Undead Samurai and Demons waiting I also have the Grenadier Wind Dragon ( alas wi
  3. Inspired by the weekend question, I took some pictures of the army thus far and found that posting it in the question thread would be excessive, also that I didn't have an ongoing thread for my largest painted army so here it is. The plan is to get my Shelf of Incompleteion cleared off then work on reinforcements for this alongside my Old School Undead army. Here we have the Pumpkin construct unit led by a Storybook Witch from Old Glory. I have 3 more of her, but the bag only came with the one flight stand and the Reaper ones I have don't fit, when I get around that, they'll form th
  4. One of my favorite Fantasy races are the Undead, followed by Chaos and Reptilians. I already have my Lost World Project which tells a tale of Conquistadores, Reptilians, Dinosaurs, and a lot more. And has some Undead in Jungle and or Pirate style in it. My Shifting Sands project is all about Undead, Arabian and Egyptian style Undead. This thread will be filled with my beloved Gothic Undead, Demons, Monsters and all things that go bump in the night. In my Lost World Project I tell an ongoing story, here I will post about all other dark things without coherency. T
  5. Hey everyone, here comes another set of Mousling. This on is 01512, Mousling Zombie. It was part of Reaper Artist Con 2010 Special Edition Figures sculpted by Gene Van Horne.
  6. I will paint and create a Reptilian Army pure for fun. It will consists of many different kind of Reptiles and Amphibians. Mostly Snakemen, Lizardmen, Frogmen, Dragonmen, Turtlemen, Fishmen, Dinosaurs and Insects. I will happily include any monster I think will fit. A Tarrasque will be the centrepiece at some sort as the Living Lizard God. I do not play any games, so this will be pure for my own and (I hope your) fun to create. EDIT: The above was my original plan, over time and thanks to the comments made by other Forumites, this has
  7. I started out with an Egyptian Undead faction in my Lost World but it didn't feel right. http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/ After some good advice from @malefactus I decided to move the Eygptians to their own thread. The first one is my Mummy Captain. Now working on a Grenadier Undead Rhino Captive Carrier with a Bones Priestess as Crew
  8. One of the first figures I pulled out of the Bones5 core set was this guy. Had fun doing him in non traditional colors. The flash made him look a little brighter than it really is.
  9. Classic old school vampiress sculpt by Sandra Garrity. Rawr! She's a bit petite by current standards, so I built up her base just a bit. But, oh, how that cloak flies! And the ruffles edges on her shroud gown! I did the back in a cooler purple:
  10. So, youngest vixen's boyfriend mentioned my hobby when hanging with his friends. They like to play board games etc,. One of his friends asked if I would paint the minis for his Board Game - Dark Souls for him. So...I agreed. He will let me know what he'd like for the bigger monsters. As for the characters and minions, he let me decide ( oh boy, shall I paint a rainbow skeleton?) Anyway, here it goes.
  11. The necrosis carnex is an undead creature from 3.5e located in monster manual 4. It’s similar to a flesh golem, being an amalgamation of several corpses with multiple limbs held together with cold iron bands. They also have the ability to unleash negative energy in order to heal undead allies and damage living creatures at the same time. I was also interested in this monster since it can be created by player characters, giving necromancers in an evil campaign new possibilities. The problem was that I’ve searched the internet all over and could not find a good miniature for it, so I decided to
  12. My stash will arrive today! I haven't done a WIP in a very long time , something I intend to remedy. I am extremely excited to get my hands on my contribution to Bones 5, the Whispering Ghoulsbane. Maybe more so than any prior piece I have made. Seeing as how I don't actually have the mini in had at this moment, Id thought I'd fill this space with some history about the concept. I like to watch reviews for feedback on pieces I've made (and learned a lot). A few review waffled on what the thing was, exactly. Part of me revels in this ambiguity -it is what you want it to b
  13. Another one bites the dust….😆 One of my favorite sculpt…but in the old Bones plastic. I put a little extra into the base, otherwise it was a pretty straight forward zen of Bones quick paint job. Overall I like the scheme and it has given me ideas for when I paint my metal version. Not sure about the green face and the blue glow under the rib cage is too subtle. And as an aside …..the quality of Testors Dullcoat is not nearly as good as it was a decade ago. The newer formulation continues to give me a semi gloss finish. Oh well.

  15. So this past February, I got around to painting up these Bog Skeletons. I was in need of more swamp zombies for Rangers of Shadow Deep and had these guys laying around and figured it was the perfect excuse for painting them. Though I am a big fan of bog-bodies, I decided to lean more into a swampy look. I figured they could be a bit more colorful and I got a strong vision of a green-tone horde of skellies. Plus bogs are notorious for preserving bodies and these guys missing quite a bit of their flesh, organs, and hair. More Below the Spoiler: I had a lot of fun wor
  16. Alright. So I want to share some old skeletons with you to both show off some of my older paintjobs, and to reflect on my growth over the past two and a half years. An what better way to show off my growth in Bones, than with bones? More Below Spoiler: I am not a fan of repainting old models or painting another copy of something I've already painted. I have so many minis in my collection that I'd rather keep moving forward. That said, I love painting similar things. It's a great opportunity to reflect on your past projects and to compare where
  17. I had meant to finish this back at halloween, but stuff happened.
  18. Hello everyone, here's my second 06132, Skeleton swordsman. This Warlord Necropolis Grunt was sculpted by Kevin Williams. Like the first one I painted, the lightning on its sword is freehand painting. These huge swords are great canvas to elaborate all kinds of effects.
  19. Hello everyone! After painting my 16 Citadel skeletons, I wanted to try something different on this one. Here is my rendition of my first 06132, Skeleton with Two-Handed sword sculpted by Kevin Williams. The lightning on its sword's blade is freehand painting, I used Reaper MSP paint.
  20. Hello everyone, here's what I painted last week, a Skeleton Horde by Games Workshop / Citadel Miniatures from 1986. I mounted them on 25mm base and converted a few of them. I used remaining parts from other minis and changed some shields, skulls and weapons. I also printed two army trays to be able to move them more easily and change their arrangement on the game table. There's 16 skeletons in total and I intend to use them during future D&D games. More pictures under the spoiler (64 pictures).
  21. I finally managed to climb back on the painting horse. I painted this vampire to my usual tabletop standard. He'll be the leader for a Mordheim/Frostgrave/random skirmish game warband.
  22. For the better part of this year, I've been going through something of a creative funk and it's been driving me a bit mad. (well more than usual anyway) So after thinking upon it for awhile, and taking the advice of the opening track of White Zombie's Astro Creep 2000, (Perhaps you'd better start at the beginning...) I've decided to embrace the madness.... By the power vested in me by the Great Pumpkin I hereby declare it to be 1996. The world is a saner place and I've just gotten my mitts on the first minis that weren't part of a boxed set or boardgame and soon shall rise a mighty skelet
  23. Hello everyone, here's a nightmarish model I completed last night. Dark Heaven Legends 02896, Aserlis the Liche King was sculpted by Werner Klocke. All painted with Reaper MSP paint.
  24. Hello everyone, I completed this one last night. Dark Heaven Legends 02885, Khalith the Mummy Lord and Cobra familiar. This awesome model was sculpted by James van Schaik.
  25. Female Spectre from EPIC Miniatures Printed on Elegoo Mars Elegoo Grey Resin. WIP: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-night-by-glitterwolf/ Once she was loved, then betrayed and murdered in cold blood. He got away with it and to keep up appearances he laid flowers on her grave. Thinking he could be happy with his new found love, keeping it a secret for now. In a while he would "meet a new girl" again and nobody would ever suspect the truth. One last time to play the grieving widower, he walked to
