This is the Reaper Bones 77371 Basilisk sculpted by Julie Guthrie. It's quite small - about the size of a large dog, with a wonderfully grouchy visage. I painted it up fairly quickly to illustrate a video about how yellow and black can be mixed to make greens. This was an example of the less vivid greens (For a really vivid yellow-and-black green, see my She-Hulk Show-Off thread). All the colors on the critter were mixed just from yellow (mostly Yellow Ochre, but also a little Hansa Yellow), black, and white. The video is here, if anyone cares to watch it.

This is Reaper's magnificent 50212 "Incredible Woman," sculpted by Bob Ridolfi. She's a great figure that can be painted up like a lot of (tall - she's a big one) women superheroes. Wonder Woman is on my wish list, and maybe Captain Marvel one day. This version is Marvel's She-Hulk from her classic days as one of the Fantastic Four, replacing Ben Grimm for a time. As a materials and techniques note, I didn't use any green or blue pigments in her skin. It's all mixed from yellow and black. This was partly to prove a point and is kind of central in the art video I posted on YouTube last week: Yellow and Black Make Green. Enjoy!

I'm going to try again here, and just leave a link to my channel. I have almost 100 videos at this point, and have covered a lot of stuff. Production is improving with each video. I'm a one man operation whom started filming about a year ago. So, you will realize very quickly that the newer videos are much clearer, more in-camera, and concise. I recently discovered that I really liked listening to D&D games being played while painting. I watched/listened to a few videos with Matt Mercer DMing some really cool games. What podcasts/videos do you all like to watch/listen to?

We are doing a video tutorial series on how we have been painting figures. The past couple years we have been working out a way for those who are inept (like me) and those who are adept (like Christie) to be able to paint figures fast, and well enough that they look good in person and in a photo. We have made substantial progress incorporating and modifying techniques we have learned from others (many on these forums, classes at reaper-con, etc.) Here is out latest video, step two of our pre-shading process. I'm looking for some decent cheap or free video editing software for Windows 10. Husband is working on a project for school about D&D but we need to do some video interviews and aren't really sure where to begin as far as editing goes.

Hello all! I recently painted up a miniature for a painting competition, and while I didn't place in the category I was entering, I still learned a heck of a lot. One of my biggest lessons is to start earlier! I wanted to do some more things with her, like painting her gems, a cool leopard print fur cape, some tattoos, etc. But, alas, I was not able to get to it. Regardless, please check her out! I'm not sure if many people were asking for a drybrushing tutorial, as it isn't the most complicated technique, but hopefully you pick up at least 1 new thing in this video! Sidenote: should I not post weekly videos in this subforum?

Hello everybody! I made a little paint shaker-mixer, of which I am quite proud of. Very simple, very silent, and not terribly efficient but it helps. It is a nice addition to my painting desk. In the video you can see it in action, along with an explanation of how it was made. Hope you like it!

So Kuro is recording video! So cool. In his WIP thread, a side discussion about shooting video came up, so I thought it might be nice to have a thread on the topic. Recording, equipment, software, setups; there is a lot that goes into making videos! I did find a thread on software from a couple years back, so there's a starter on that part of the process, but it would be nice to have the different technical aspects in one spot.

This stuff is probably WAY beneath the skill level of most people here, but I decided to put up a series of basic YouTube videos about getting minis tabletop-ready. I'm still fiddling with the best format and setup to use. The first couple are online now: Episode 1

I did it! Some folks asked me to tell them how to use soft pastels for miniatures and I did one better and made my very first video tutorial! Let me know what you think!! ( I also posted this on the Reaper Facebook Group so some of you may have seen it already.)

since we seem to get a lot of questions on paint (some from myself included) I thought I'd start this in the hopes we can all add to it. I'm hoping to try and limit it to the last 2 years so that we don't have reviews of old formulas, etc..

An interesting short video that recreates a lot of the special effects from HP movies. Worth a watch.

Right im not entirely sure if I should post this here or in Painting Tips & Advice, but since its about the kickstarter models i'll put it here. Anyway I wanted to ask if any of you experienced painters might consider doing some sort of video or blog journal of how you go about painting some of these new models? I realize there are already a tone of tutorials out there but as a complete newbie (and I can't stress that word enough) sifting through all those different tutorials and finding a complete and easily to understand one is a bit difficult. So I was thinking it would be quite nice if there was a small collection of helpful sources, going into a bit of detail of each step of painting these new miniatures that all the newbies like me could start of at and then expand from. Anyway its just a suggestion.

SO, a few weeks back I posted that we had received a lot of Bones. That day, we received five truckloads. Full container trucks. Five. Here's a video Kit shot of us unloading. Now, this is just the first of 5 trucks, which itself is the first of 2 Boatloads coming our way. The important bit is that we have received all of the Vampire packages, and the only thing we're waiting for is the scheduled boatload with the 7 trucks of "Optional Rewards" Well, no. The important bit is that this video is kind of fun and cool and gives you a sneek peek at what our factory was like for a day.
