  1. Hello All, Here are photos of 07038 Bones USA Dungeon Dwellers "Wolf Pack" of 3 Wolves I completed last month. Thank you for looking.
  2. Yup another project, as if I didn't have enough on my hands. This will take a while, but I will start again. A few decades ago ( before I roamed this Forum) I created a Barbarian Army with Animal allies. I sold it and all I have left are these tiny pics that show only part of it. Also, this was decades ago so I didn't paint as well as I do today ( or at least I think so) Here are the old pics as appetizers, I will soon start the new army. Enjoy!
  3. Hi: I love my old school minis. Picked this pup up a few years ago, finally got some paint on it. Submitted in RCL Sept 2022. -t edit to add: I finally figured out that this was one of three forms the "Silent Strider" from Werewolf: The Apocolypse game could take. Ral Partha sold all three (Crinos, Hispo and Lupus) as a pack under the 69-024 tag. So, now we all know!
  4. My version of Klargg and Ripper from LMoP. These guys will serve as the template for the rest of the Reaper bugbears that I have. My hope is to get enough done to run the numbers that are called for in the various modules (e.g. Dwellers of the Forbidden City). Pretty straightforward stuff, paint wise, but I have to say I love these old bugbear models. Each one is loaded with little details to make them feel like unique and important characters, rather than chaff.
  5. Great reaper bones mini! I just did a couple of drybrushes and a wash but I am pleased with it! Thanks for looking!
  6. Design ClayCyanide- Vukodlak Fighter 3D Printed on my Elegoo Mars Scaled up 150% to increase the size. Base Resin from Microart Studios. Part of my Children of the Night Project: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-night-by-glitterwolf/page/25/#comments ***************** When the Moon is full sensible folks stay indoors keeping a silver weapon close. Of course there are always non-believers, that's what the Vukodlak likes most. Tender meat... ****************
  7. This is actually an older paintjob, but It doesn't look like I have ever shared it. it's simple, but effective - everyone needs a warg. For the wolf fans out there!
  8. A beast of Old Night to reinforce my Infernalist Witch faction... and after going back and giving it eyes...
  9. Still pretty new to mini painting (a total of 7 done 😅), but was feeling adventurous so took a stab at blending to create some layers in the fur. I only used base coats and dry brushing on the figure. C & C welcome!
  10. EPIC Miniatures - Dungeon Explorer with Whip EPIC Miniatures - Wolf Sled Printed on Elegoo Mars with Elegoo Grey Resin. Snow and Ice: Greenstuffworld Snow AK Interactive Ice Sparkles Vallejo Still Water. WIP: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79398-horde-of-the-north-glitterwolf-paints-barbarians-and-mammoths/page/5/ Lance Bucklesworth on an arctic adventure! What will he find when reaches the far North? He raised these wolves himself to pull his sled and protect him, will it be enough against the creatures roaming the frozen wastes? As he passes the last barren trees heading to the ever frozen plains he's got only one thing on his mind. To find the remnants of a lost civilization and retrieve the priceless artifacts they left behind.
  11. I'm a huge Okami fan. I've played the game end to end 5 times and I have it in progress a 6th time. I took Reaper Mini's Spirit Wolf and painted it like the white wolf, Amaterasu. Then I sculpted its iconic, flaming reflector out of green stuff and attached it to its back also with green stuff. Enjoy!
  12. This my orc warlord on a warg. It is a Nolzurs deep cuts orc on dire wolf miniature. I did most of the painting in one day, I do need to touch up the base and redo the finish on the flag, but otherwise he is done. I was aiming for a Hound of the Baskervilles look for the Warg. Now he just needs an actual name besides Orc Warlord.... Thanks for looking!
  13. Dire Wolves are the tradition pets for AD&D Hill Giants, so I bought this fine fellow to replace the smilodon that came with my Hill Giant Hunter. I always use reference pictures when painting real creatures, and this looks a bit like a real black wolf, so I'm quite happy. There are a lot more colours and steps in this chaps fur than on any of the accompanying giants, though I don't know if it shows. The joy of Bonesium means that I could easily cut off his base and glue him directly to this piece of actual granite. I recommend doing this before ANY paint is applied to either surface, to get the best bond. Else you often pull the paint off the rock and have to re-glue it, in my experience.
  14. Howdy, Winter Wolf in the tropics... Kev!
  15. So as some of you may have read, I am going to try to do a basic airbrushing tutorial on Friday night, June 24, 2016, starting at about 2100 (9pm) EST on google hangouts. The idea is to show folks the basics and beginnings of how to use an airbrush... This is the mini I chose: I started the clean up, assembly, gap filling, because folks already know how to do that stuff.... I chose it because it is large enough for people to see what is going on when it is being painted, but not so big it takes over my table, like a dragon would... I have done a Type III Demon before, so I won't have to go to crazy figuring things out, and there are some semi advanced things I can try to show as things progress.... So Thanks for looking, and hope to see you at class! George
  16. Everyone was so nice when I posted my hellhounds so I feel confident enough to post this guy.
  17. This was one of my diorama entries for ReaperCon featuring miniatures from Dark Sword Miniatures. I had diorama ideas centered around the female figure occupying my mind for a while before I settled on this one. I tried a few other figures with her but nothing fit until I got the male figure and then added the wolf. I am very happy with how it came together and was very pleased that it received a Gold medal in the Diorama Category. I also was honored to receive second place diorama from Dark Sword.
  18. https://siberiantimes.com/science/casestudy/news/still-snarling-after-40000-years-a-giant-pleistocene-wolf-discovered-in-yakutia/ The intact head of a gigantic wolf has been discovered in Siberian permafrost. The head is 40cm long, as large as a modern donkey’s head (fully half the body length of a modern wolf!)
  19. Enjoyed painting these but can't say I applied any great magic or too much time to them. They were all really quick to complete, working up from coloured primer with washes then bone or cream or pink for details.
  20. So, I've been a participant in an exchange type thing on Twitter for quite a while now. It is known as "The Box of Many Things" and is a low cost to no cost geeky, nerdy Secret Santa type exchange that takes place every other month. this is for my April Thinger. We use the term "Thinger" to describe those who are in the exchange, specifically the person you are sending to or are receiving from, which are rarely the same person. They even have international group for those outside of the states, too. Art is a common thing to send as it is very low cost to make and usually low cost to mail too! So behold my badly repainted D&D Minis! So, my Thinger plays two PCs, a Druid and and a Dryad Warlock and I was going to try to paint a mini for one of those but ran into a roadblock. I couldn't find a mini for either of them! Also, they are an excellent artist and provided ARTWORK of their PCs for reference! I wouldn't be able to do justice for them at all! So I dug through the 4 pages of info they gave to find something I could paint successfully and not take far too long to do so! And I found that The Druid likes to become a Dire Wolf a lot and the Dryad has a Winged Cat for a Familiar so i got to work! Here they are! Hope you enjoyed them! GF
  21. Here is a figure I painted for the game Rangers of Shadow Deep. Buckyball
  22. Meet Raven! And her hound Foxy! Member of the Red Cloaks band of mercenaries traveling the Land. Ranged support while providing knowledge of how to survive outside of civilization. Not that stops Ernie's complaining... 60181: Adowyn & Leryn (Iconic Hunter & Wolf) painted in Autumn palette with NMM, Texture, and Freehand. This was another miniature full of fiddly bits to paint. After watching Bobby Jackson sculpt on the Reaper LIVE show, I think this was a digital sculpt! Looking forward to seeing this miniature in the BONES version.
  23. I sculpted this wolf for Darksword last spring. I got a couple copies of it last week. Friday night, I decided to paint a version of it for a friend's 11 year-old girl who is crazy about wolves. When asked how she wanted it painted, she said tan with black stripes and spots. That took me a bit to get my head around, but I took the challenge and here is what I painted. It took me about 3 hours.
  24. Howdy, Foxy the wolf, or wolfie the fox? Those grapes were probably sour anyway, Kev!
  25. I have gone through my "hoard of unpainted things" and painted all of my wolf and wolf-like critters. This one is the Death Dog from Bones 3. I am really glad I did the Kickstarter because I ended up with so many minis I have enjoyed painting that I probably would not have purchased otherwise. This is one of them. Not that there is anything wrong with him, I think I would have gone for a regular wolf or werewolf before going for a two-headed wolf. However, he is going to have fun chomping adventurers! So in addition to the warg and winter wolf that I already painted, I did this one, a werewolf, and the dread wolves that came with the cemetery set. All of them are the Bones versions.
