From a good Reaper Bones to a a brazilian werewolf (call Lobisomem) from the amazonian mythology for my Of God and Mortals Army (see this topic on the LAF here) a very simple one, as the werewolf has no tail. Only a swap 's head and the job is done . Just a good head choice with a WH40k wolf

I didnt do too much detail on these guys. I was mostly just using up paint that I had mixed for my goblins. Im not entirely a fan of these guys but I figured Id paint them up anyone for a Tundra themed campaign Im working on.

I had the kids home from school unexpectedly yesterday: Elder spawn had a friend over and we did come painting. got a pair of yeti out and I did wash and drybrush with mini-spawn (5yrs) using craft brushes, reaper paint and a wet pallet. I painted eyesockets, and then gave her a toothpick for whites. I was helping Elderspawn with her Dungeons and Doggies figure and Minispawn just grabed a transparent ranger, I told her to paint it however, since I dont have a working system for transparents. It makes a really good ghost now. three more off my bones3 core set.

*** Please read in David Attenborough's voice*** Even the cold North has it brief moment of Spring. The Ice will never melt completely, but the small rise in temperature will melt some, giving the scarse plantlife a chance to sprout. Of course melting ice will also mean that large chunks will fall and this can surprise even the most experienced Yeti Chieftain as we see here. Our Yeti Chieftain Gorm was distracted by his thoughts of a certain female of the species, it is Spring after all...when he found himself too close to a ice mountain. A sudden crackling sound and a large chunk came down. Gorm found himself paralyzed with fear, and this would be his doom.

So depending on how much you pay attention to memes, you may be aware of one very popular one called "Somebody toucha my spaghet!" I couldn't tell you why that's what popped into my head back in October when @ladystorm first posted about her contest, but I tend to just accept that my brain comes up with really dumb ideas and just have fun with it. So, I present to you: Somebody toucha my spaghyeti! I had a TON of fun painting this guy! The kid (who toucha his spaghyeti) came from 03233: Townsfolk X: Children, sculpted by Bobby Jackson. I modified the stick in his hand into a fork with greenstuff. The yeti, of course, is 77434: Yeti Chieftan, sculpted by Jason Wiebe. I sculpted the bowl of spaghetti with Sculpey. I hope y'all like him!

Howdy, I hope I am doing this right... For the LadyStorm Contest, Kev!

It got late, so change of plans and here he is: Painted in 1 evening, using only 4 colors. I'm pretty happy with how he turned out. Colors: Splintered bone, Turkey Brown, Nightsky Blue and Blackened Brown. I was just going to use the first 3, but decided I needed something darker to finish it up.

I decided to paint this fella for Ladystorm's contest a couple months ago, and then promptly forgot about him until this past Saturday. So here's my semi-rushed, totally tabletop but still fun to paint Yeti chief. I was hoping to achieve that polar bear not-quite-white-but-sorta-yellowish-white look for him. I think it worked out alright, but I have an idea to try to improve upon it in the future.

Finished this guy up for Ladystorm's winter contest. Fun one to work on, pretty quick paintjob between commissions.

just a batch of quickies today: It is not really apparent in the photos, but they are all subtly different in the colours used for the base yellow and offwhite fur. I chose to base them the same way I do the rest of my minis, in case I actually get around to building an Ogre army sometime in the future. Yeah, I know they are supposed to be called Ogors now, but just no.

I needed some minis for an upcoming arctic adventure, so I knocked these out. Disappointed with my effort, sloppy and boring. Good enough for the game table, but I doubt I’ll be diving into this sorta thing again anytime soon

I painted up the Yeti from Bones 3 -

Am getting into painting Reaper Bones. After washing them in soap and water I worked up from washes with Army Painter inks. Then used base coats over that and further washes. I normally use "strong tone" but like to mix it up. C and c welcome.

Haven’t painted in a few months but here is my 3rd attempt at any mini’s. This is the Yeti from the D&D Icewind Dale collectors series. I started with a grey primer, then white base coat. Washed it with nuln oil then dry brushed a light blue and white over the whole thing. I need to add horn detail still and base detail. Any tips on painting realistic horns would be greatly appreciated as well as any other feedback! Sorry, in advance for poor lighting/picture quality.

So, as of... two days ago... I have my Reaper Bones III pledge in hand. Rather than buy single figures, however, this time I bought swarms of *multiple* mook monsters - lots of giants, tauren, ect - and have committed myself to getting them all painted to tabletop in the next month or two. I've made a bold first step in that direction with the completion of these crazy kids! I got three packs of the yetis, since they come up in Against the Giants (the main campaign I was playing at the time of the kickstarter) a lot, and also since they were awesome sculpts done cheap. I wanted enough for a decent band for AtG or a random encounter, but also some to paint as bigfoots, since the tribal clothing they had seemed to work for either. I decided to give these guys a shot as a speedpaint, and see where that got me. I expect most of these will end up as speedpaints; there's an aweful lot of them. So, first: Proof of Completion on the Yeti warband: \ Real blurry, yeah. They weren't obliging me as a group; my old foe Focusmort come back to haunt me, perhaps. There we go. A little more obliging, on there own. So, to paint these up, I basecoated with Ultramarine Blue straight onto the plastic, then drybrushed on Linen White. Deadrose Red in the mouths, mixed with the white around the eyesockets, with Walnut brown for the eyes. Quick and easy - all eight took a bit under 4 hours, with the basecoating done all in one night, drybrushing before work, and then picking out details after. Nothing too fancy, but I'm happy with them, and my other players thought they looked amazing. They have low standards, but they're also the only ones I need to impress, so... Next up, the Bigfoots! These I'm much more excited about. Group shot: Based Walnut Brown, drybrushed Ruddy Leather; mouth is one of the lighter reds, and teeth and eyes are Linen White over ultramarine. These look rocking - they really work as bigfoots. All in all, I'm thrilled with these for 5 hours work. Gotta base them somehow though... And since we haven't all seen them: the sculpts for these are amazing - heavy and substantial in all the right ways. Enough diversity to make 2-3 sets not look like clones, with great accents. Totally worth getting for forest monsters if you don't do a arctic setting, and they'd probably make a neat swamp monster too... Next up... probably some taurs.

These are some pictures of a Yeti/sasquatch/bigfoot/abonimable snowman that I painted for SamuraiJack in the 2015 Secret Sophie Winter Exchange. I'm very proud of how he turned out. And, though you can't see it, both his eyes are looking in the same direction (!) which absolutely thrilled me. Looking at it now, I could have pushed the contrast on the fur even further, but I was happy with how he looked and decided that he was a perfectly recognizable sasquatch. So there he is! Hope you like the paint.

I'm trying to get more monsters available for the random encounters in Frostgrave. First off is a Frost Giant, converted from the Pathfinder Battles: Dungeons Deep Frost Giant. She wasn't directly intended for Frostgrave, I was going to convert her to match the Frost Giant Jarl from "Giants Revisited"...then realized I misremembered the art, and she already WAS based off that piece. So she got a heavy infantry makeover:

Trying to expand the bestiary for "Frostgrave". The Frost Trolls (Yetis) are former Shaggy Man from HeroClix, the apes are also former clix, and the Frost Giant is a Pathfinder Frost Giant converted to a heavy infantry type...not specifically for Frostgrave but fit the theme. First paints are applied, and Lars the Linkboy is there for scale.

How tall are Reaper Sasquatchs/Yetis compared to ogres? How do Reaper Yetis all fit together in size? And compared to an ogre/ettin (Kagung, Nor'okk, Lardgulp, Talanka or an GW ogre?).

Another pic from my archives from a few months ago. My group started in Icewind Dale in the Forgotten Realms. These things were a menace.

Starting to catch up with pictures, again. First up are a couple old Grenadier baddies I painted just to use up some paint/knock stuff out of the way. The Lizzard Man 1 is from the 2010 Horrors of the Marsh set in the Dragon Lords line, sculpted I've read by John Dennett. I think he's actually a pretty cool sculpt. Different, anyway. I got him from a lot on Ebay; actually rather wish I had the other two Lizzard Men in the set, too. But, anyway. I didn't do a lot with him, just kept it simple. The Yeti is from the 5002 Monsters set . . . and kind of a poor sculpt. The legs and feet, especially, were completely different sizes. He became a victim of my trying out some off-brand "matte" sealer; the shininess is obviously deplorable. Eh. As always, photo problems. Though I found for whatever reason I got better photos if I shot partly off the white paper background. No clue why, but yeah. So started doing that. Thanks for looking! If you have input, I'm totally open to it, though these were pretty basic phone-it-ins, even for me.

I recently painted up the 4 yeti sculpted by Jason Weibe. All four are phenomenal sculpts, and were a lot of fun to paint. The first 3 (both warriors and the chief) were painted up prior to ReaperCon. I went with a color scheme similar to the Disney Vinylmation Yeti by Javier Soto. In my cryptozoology, the younger yeti (warriors) have a lighter color scheme to help them blend in with their snowy environment. The chief, being a bit older, has a darker color scheme. He can afford to stand out more. The shaman was painted after ReaperCon. I wanted to set the magic user apart, so I used a golden lion tamarin as the inspiration for the color scheme. Here's the group shot. At some later date I'll probably add some turf and snow effects to the bases to tie them in with an Icingstead army I'm working on.
