This is the Wererat Leader from the Grenadier Action Art Monsters Box Set. The original sword was lost, so I used a friend’s spare parts bin to find a replacement. Enjoy!

This is the “Evil/ Lawful Cleric” from the Grendier Action Art: Monsters set. I guess I missed an opportunity to do something really eye-popping on his shield. It seems a bit too tribal looking to me to go with the rest of his outfit. So I kept it as the suggested black and red.

Here is the Drider from the Monsters set. I stuck to the suggested color scheme as well as I could. I got a little lazy toward the end. You can see I forgot to do any shading on the bowstring. The original hand and small crossbow were lost, but my friend had a nice replacement that I managed to cluge in there, though the wrist is at a fairly extreme, but not totally unbelievable, angle. I hope you enjoy.

Here is the bugbear from the Grenadier Action Art Monsters set. Apparently he is from the “Blue Cow” clan.

Here is the female assassin from the Grenadier Action Art set “Monsters”. I don’t really think of female assassins as monsters, except in the metaphorical sense. I would have been a little disappointed if a box labeled “Monsters” had had a bunch of people. But anyway... Her face is a bit rough; the sculpting makes her look old, but her short dress seems to imply a young woman. But maybe it’s just a long shirt?

Back in the early 80’s, Grenadier put out a few “learn to paint” type mini kits, much like the few Reaper has done. They were called Action Art and came with 11 or so minis each. This guy is from one such set. I’ve painted him as recommended in the “Action Art Painting Guide.” He is small, even for the early days of 25mm sculpts. So he’s shrimpy, yet buff. Enjoy.
